Hi there, what ms certifications can I do if I want to pursure my career in IT business/system analysis ? Currently I am a Quality Analyst for Service Desk.

I was working as a Quality Assurance specialist in Banking and Finance domain [for clients such as AMEX and MasterCard] since last 5 years. Over last one year I came in contact with SAP finance persons and learnt a lot about their roles and responsibilities.
As the time passed, I found myself more indulging towards SAP and have inner feeling that I could have done or do better in SAP Functional [Finance].
Since last one year, I have lot of hard work in order to gain domain knowledge [apart from my regular work] required to be a SAP consultant. Now, I feel more confident and have inner willingness to pursue my career as a SAP FICO person.
Based on my work experience and the knowledge I have grasped in last few years, I consider my 70 / 30 Functional / Technical person in present scenario.
Please provide me a direction through which I can achieve my long awaited dream!!

My manager has recently paid for Skype business but just want to understand a few aspects of it before going any further.
Does the skype business allow you to install unlimited clients in your organisation but you need to have a skype business account for each person logging in?
Also is there a difference with the quality of the connection, comparing free skype to business skype?
ALso I suppose it would be good to know if the free skype and business skype are supported in the environment described above.

There are no restrictions in the number of Skype clients you can use for normal or business releases. You can install Skype on systems that have no current Skype name assigned as well.
Also is there a difference with the quality of the connection, comparing free skype to business skype?
The basic differences are more control but they use the same methods when using the same version levels as far as services go.
ALso I suppose it would be good to know if the free skype and business skype are supported in the environment described above.

Financial Reports Quality Analysis

Hello,
I have made a few Financial Reports and they are okay.
However, I want to know how I can improve the quality of my reports and as far as performance is concerned and if there are any tips that you can give me to make better reports.
As a FR Quality Analyst: what would your recommendations be?
Based on your experience with the tool, do you have any tips or advice on writing better formulas, display options, general report construction, etc.
Let this thread be an area where Financial Report designers can get tips on making better Reports.
Any help/tips/suggestions is much appreciated.

if ABST2 shows no difference, there is no difference.
The problem is that you can not compare every list and this causes misunderstandings
ABST2 is the right one to check it out.

According to your description, the error occurred when you re-created the Search Service Application.
Based on the error message, I recommend to verify the things below:
   1. Check if the association between the Search Service Application proxy and the web application is configured.
Please go to Central Administration > Application Management > Configured service application associations > Click Default to see if the Search Service application is checked.
   2. Change the app pool for the Search Service Application to SharePoint Web Services Default in the properties of the Search Service Application.
Please go to Central Administration > Application Management > Manage service applications > Highlight the Search Service Application > Click Properties in the ribbon > Change
the two app pool to SharePoint Web Services Default: App Pool For Search Admin Web Service and Application Pool for Search Query and Site Settings Web Service.
    3. Run PS command to check if the search admin timer job is enabled: Get-SPTimerJob
job-application-server-admin-service | fl. If it is not enabled, use PS command to enabled it and then reset Internet Information Services: Enable-SPTimerJob job-application-server-admin-service.

Quality Certificate Issue with multiple batchs with same delivery note

My Company Business Process:
Quality certificates are generated prior to the good receipt through IDOC process.
When we receive the goods, GR should look for existing quality certificates and trasnfer the inspection results to inspection lot.
When we are trying to receive for single batch & delivery note, It is looking for existing quality certificates. There is no problem in this senario.
But when we receive the multiple batchs with the same delivery note, system is generating new quality certificates. It is not looking for existing QC which got generated through IDOC process. This is the actual proble.
Note: I am not sure is standard SAP does not supprot to receive the multiple batchs with the same delivery note or not at the time of GR. Please advise me.

In data origin in certificate profile SAP supports " mix the origins within a characteristic. For example, the results data can originate from an inspection and the specification data can originate from batch determination."
Now here question arises Is batch determination of one batch or multiple bacthes took place against a single delivery note.
As per my understnading it should be one batch with is supported in std SAP.

Recent Grad - needs help on what to expect for phone interview

Hi, I am a recent computer science graduate of DePaul university. I have been looking for an entry level full time position for the past three months and I finally got a nible. The problem is I have never had a phone interview and I really don't know what to expect. I really need this job so I want to prepare myself as much as possible. Actually, no. Just need time to get to your post. If you have not had your interview already try this.
One, bone up on your basic program structures.
Know basic keywords, etc.
Have your books in front of you and open to some topics that seem like test questions.
Review the content of the books that are pertinent. Prepare for the interview like you would a test.
ABOVE ALL - RELAX, sound confident that if you do not know the answer now you can look it up. This is an entry level position - They do not expect you to know everything - just have a basic understanding and be able to go from there.
Do not be afraid to say "I don't know but I know where to look in xxxx book".

Document printing wrong colors

These are the steps I followed:1. drew some pictures on regular paper with colored pencils.2. scanned the document into the printer.3. opened the document with Photo Viewer4. the colors on the screen looked true to my drawing5. selected Print from the Menu6. the Print Preview colors looked true to my drawing7. the colors on the printed page were NOT true to my drawing: - the pink colors were true, but the orange printed as dark pink - the blue colors were true, but the green printed as blue - the yellow printed as white8. I also opened with Paint and had the same results. I have not changed any settings on the printer. My old HP printed this drawing fine. This is for my business so I need the colors to be true.

My issue is not one with comparing the color on the monitor with the printed document....I could care less what it looks like on the monitor, so I don't think calibrating my monitor will help the printed document look any better. And, regardless, it looks fine on the monitor. My issue is that the printed document is not the same color as the original document which I scanned in.If I use a colored pencil to draw a picture in orange on a piece of paper, then scan the picture that I drew in orange, I want it to print as orange, not pink. The colors are incorrect no matter what software I use to open the document & print it: opening with Windows Photo Viewer, opening with Paint, opening with Picasa, etc. I do not understand your comment " I would like you to photocopy the original picture on the Envy 5530".How do I photocopy a document? (I searched the user guide for that term and did not find it.) How is that different from scanning the document? Why would the printed document look different by photocopying vs. scanning? I am a quality analyst for a software company so I know a little about diagnosing a problem. One other step I took was to print a picture that I had drawn and scanned in with my OLD printer/scanner, and it also printed incorrectly. So I think it is some settings in the printer that are causing it. My OLD printer did not have the Color Management feature and it printed correctly. I do not understand the write-up on the Color Management feature; never-the-less, I have not change anything from the default settings that it was delivered with. So if the problem is the Color Management feature, then I need to know how to set it for the colors to look exactly like the colors on the document thatI scanned in. I took a picture of both with my phone and tried to insert to this message so you could see the difference, but the files are too large.

NI Measurement Studio UI components for Visual Basic 6.0 message box

Hey All,
North West Quality Analyst was recently installed on my LabVIEW development machine. Whenever I launch NWQA I get a dialog box to install "NI Measurement Studio UI Components for Visual Basic 6.0" for program called "Program Name."
I cancel out of the install and I can use NWQA just fine. However, I would like to eliminate the install attempt. Any ideas on how to do that?
I've tried to find the installer file on the Distribution discs, but on the two that I thought it would be on, "Measurement Studio Enterprise Support for Visual Studio 6.0" and "Measurement Studio Enterprise Edition" the file named "MStudioUIDemo.msi" was not found.

The Dell box is running Window's 2000.
I found a listing under "Computer Management" -> System Information -> Software Environment -> Loaded Modules
that seems to have all the installed apps and such. I can send that to you privately if you desire.

Including dynamically generated jpg files in a report in PDF

Hi all,
hope I'm in the right forum.
We have an issue with images we must include in a report, when the report output format is PDF.
We are using these versions for Reports etc... :
Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2
ORACLE Server Release 10.1.0.4.2
Oracle Procedure Builder 10.1.2.0.2
Oracle ORACLE PL/SQL V10.1.0.4.2 - Production
Oracle CORE 10.1.0.4.0 Production
We need to include in a report a image (jpg or png) which is provided (and created dynamically) by NWA Quality Analyst.
We use a BoilerPlate Field, and in the hyperlink property, we have something like :
http://myserver/XBAR_GRAPH.NWG?CachedFile=something,etc.><IMG SRC="http://myserver/XBAR_GRAPH.jpg?CachedFile=....
Works fine when getting the report in HTML output format.
But doesn't work when the report is in PDF output format. Seems to be a security constraint of PDF.
Question 1 : Has anybody already faced a similar issue ? And solved it ?
We tried to include a jpg file located anywhere on our server, it works fine, BUT in our case, the jpg file returned by NWA Quality Analyst is not stored anywhere (generated on the fly)
Question 2 : is there a way, in PL-SQL (in beforereport trigger) to call the URL, get the file returned and save it somewhere ? Or display it as a image ?

we generate the png file from the QA server using UTL_HHTP package, with a defined name.
Then we get this image in our report, in PDF format output.

Actually the book thing is a great idea. I feel sorry
for you recent grads, when I graduated they were
putting English majors in programming postions.That explains so much of what I see! ;->
Seriously, I agree about the book. One important note is that phone interviews tend to run the gamut of perfunctory HR screenings ("can you spell SQL?", "What was your GPA?", "Does this guy seem to be able to communicate to other humans in the required language?") to fairly narrow, very deep technical screenings. I spend a lot of time giving the latter form.
Your best bet is to get comfortable with the kinds of questions you are likely to get (the book can help). Then consider all the questions that you hope they don't ask and decide (practice) how you are going to answer them when they do - and they often do. Don't get stunned when asked something unexpected. A simple "Hmm, I haven't really thought about that, but perhaps...." will go a long way. There are times when it is best to say "I don't know."
Don't try to bluff your way through unless you are sure that the person on the other end knows far less about the subject than you can successfully pretend to know. And be careful, some interviewers will go along with any bull they might hear to see where you take it... I know I do.
Most interviewers react badly to deceit and are probably looking at other candidates with similar level of skills to you - otherwise they probably wouldn't be calling you. Try to emphasize your abilities and demonstrate how you can easily fill any knowledge gaps you might have.
Don't try to fill lulls in conversation with information you don't really have. Nervous folks tend to chatter and get themselves into a hole, and interviewers are often taught to use this tactic to see how a candidate reacts. Just answer each question as completely as you feel is necessary and wait for the next question.

When someone kicks on the back-side and we realize that we need to get onto Project mode - make no mistake my firend, it is the Business guys. the project guys need not worry, they will get this help for free
