Business Area display in Tcode FAGLB03

Dear Friends,
We have ECC6 upgraded from April 2011. In FS10N we have business area tab appearing whereas when we use FAGLB03 the same is not appearing either as selection or when executing a G/L. Can this be resolved by applying the support package in Note 970096. By applying this support packs would result in some other adverse impact. The new G/L has been implemented.

FAGLB03 displays the balances for a GL and it add further characteristics, you can have Business Area displayed.
If however, your user needs to have the business area from the start, than the BADI specified in 1034354 can be used to display Business Area wise details from start

    Hi,
    In FBL1N in dynamic selections you can give the business area as the selection parameter otherwise after execution of report with the help of layout you can set filters for business area.
    Go to FAGLB03 give the vendor or customer reconciliation account along with business area. So after you execute the report you can choose vendor code and business area.

    Hi,
    One option, you can create role via Tcode PFCG for each user/company which do not have business area. You can disable the business area in authorization tab.
    One more option you can greyed or freezed the business area field for the company which do not have the business area by using Tcode OBC4. You can suppress the business area field for each GL that been used by the company code. In other words, you create special field status group for the company and suppress the business area.

    Hi guys,
    I have a problem in accounting document generated by VF01.
    The business area displayed is retrieved from TVTA while the user wants the business area to be taken from T134G.
    Do you have an idea what is the basis in getting the value for the Business Area (gsber)???
    Do you know also of user-exit that will perform such condition?

    It means it's a parameter (under the company code) used by accounting. In generally a sales area is linked to only one business area: so in accounting it can manage the sales from different area by business area:
    I.e. for the same company code, it can use the business are to separate the amount of sales from different sales area.
    I think the account document should have the same business area (b.a.) of the sales document, if u change it in exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_008 u could have different b.a. in sales and accounting document.
    So the best solution is set the correct b.a. in the sales document and then SAP'll move it to the next documents automatically.
    U can decide which rule has to be used to determine the B.A., these rules is set in the sales area (so TVTA table): field TVTA-REGGB:
    001 - B.A. from T134G (your case?)
    002 - B.A. from TVTA
    003 - B.A. from  based on SalesOrg/DistCh/ItemDivision (from TVTA)
    In this rules are not good for u, the best solution is set the correct B.A. in sales order, so u can use the user-exit USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP and/or USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAK in inlcude MV45AFZZ.
    If you want to allows to set the B.A. manually u should implement the exit USEREXIT_COBL_SEND_ITEM and/or USEREXIT_COBL_SEND_HEADER in MV45AFZB: in the sales document the b.a. can't be changed manually by default.

  • Problems viewing folders under business area

    Hi:
    I am using 9i Discoverer. I created a business area with the Administrator and granted access to the public. However, when I log on as a user using the Desktop I can only see the business area in the list box but no folders are shown in the available window. Any idea? Thanks.

    Well I checked previous postings and found somebody suggested refreshing the business area. When I first tried it I got the business area displayed but not the folders. I then refreshed it again and was able to see the folders too.

  • Business Area Financial Statements

    Hi Friends.
    I am in ECC 5.00 Version.
    I am using Business area for specific purpose.  I have posted documents with business area and the same are appearing in fbl3n report.  But when I execute financial statements with T.Code F.01 by selecting the business area, I am not able to get the financial statements whereas if I don't give the business area, then the financial statements are coming.
    I have selected business area in OBY6, made business area field mandatory in the FSGs, entered the business area in the documents posted and selected the business area display authorization field in spro.
    Please explain how to resolve the issue.

    You have to run two adjustment programs before taking the financials thru f.0 business area wise.
    F.5D for balance sheet adjustment
    F.5E for P& L Adjustment
    after running this program without any errors, you run the F.01 , then select the business areas , you will get the Financials Business Area wise.

  • Problem in displaying data for G/L Account in Tcode FAGLB03

    Hi,
    I am a abaper but my client is facing a strange problem in Tcode FAGLB03 that when it runs the tcode the data displayed for a purticular finanacial year then there are few months which remains blank in the display but the Carry Forward Balance is accurate.
    In the similar way when we execute tcode for previous financial year it is displaying the data accurately and filling all the months columns in it.
    Is there any way to present the missing data for that puritcular finanacial year?

    Hi,
    Please check the same with your netweaver administrator(basis consultant). He would have the user name and pwd for the SAP support portal. You can view notes in SAP support portal.
    SAP clearly says in the note that it is because of program error and you need to implement the correction notes.
    Do involve your FI consultant and Basis consultant to resolve this issue.

    If you activate Business Area wise financial statements at the company code level in Company code Global Parameters, then this field becomes mandatory on its own..

    I am using fs10n trasction in this report business area is not displayed for all sales tax liability account(RV Document type) but all other account related to this transaction business area is displaying.     If you see the same account in FAGLL03. As a standard SAP norm, Business Area is not captured in Tax Relevant Accounts like CST Payable, VAT Payable etc. I had faced a similar situation few days back. In case, you are using the ECC 6.0, then only you can use this functionality.The business area is hidden in normal case. So pls add this field in the report through layout option (Cntrl+F8) and then you canfilter down based on Buisness Area.
    Pls assign the maximum possible points if this meets your requirement.

  • Locator area displays unauthoritative business transaction types

    I created a service business transaction type (ZXXX). Some users can see the details of this BT in the locator area (nearly all of the fields) although they have no authority for displaying. Indeed when they double click the relaited row for ZXXX, systems warns "There is no authorization for displaying...".
    So i want they are not able to see these documents in the locator area.

    Our system already had business area link to each plant.
    However I don't think the business area value is defaulted from plant as a plant can be link to multiple business areas. Based on a plant, how do system determined which business area to be pulled to MIRO?

  • NEW GL: Customer/Vendor Line items cannot be displayed per business area

    Hello ECC 6.0 Masters!
    We have implemented Standard Document Splitting by Business area(BUSA). See below scenario..

    However after implementation we discovered that because the Customer/Vendor BUSA is blank in entry view, we now cannot derive reports that are normally based on the BUSA of Customer/Vendor line item, which we used to be able to do prior to implementing NEW GL.
    Some of them are below:
    1. Debtor Ageing Analysis (Standard)
    2. Customer/Vendor line items per BUSA (Standard)
    3. Several other Sublegder based custom reports we have that neeed to be categorized by BUSA
    My question now is..Is there a way to derive these Business Area information under Vendor and Customer account to produce our reports? Especially for the Ageing which is key to the business process of my client.
    I hope somebody there has experienced this before. thanks!

    You will not get ageing reports based on BA after new gl migration. You need to bring the info from the new gl tables. one of the easiest ways is to get the info from the table FAGL_SPLINFO by passign BSEG-BELNR. For defining ageing reports in new gl use t code FKI3 and FDI3 for Vendors and Customers respectively.

    I have another question on import. I imported a folder and it got imported with a warning (A folder named 'Folder Name' was created or modified during the import but is not in a business area
    Import completed, but with warnings. Please check the result.
    I can see the folder in the database table. Is there a way to add this folder to the business area? Or my only option is to delete the folder out of EUL?
