Business Catalyst - Abonement Web basic et Creative cloud

Bonjour tout le monde
C'est peut être une bête question mais je ne sais vraiment pas.
Avec l'abonement "particulier" à Creative Cloud, je crois savoir que nous avons droit à l'offre "Web Basic" de Business Catalyst
Elle donne droit à 5 sites en production, si je ne m'abuse.
Est ce que c'est 5 sites par mois ? Ou bien 5 sites en tout et pour tout ?
Je ne suis pas très familière avec Business catalyst

Désolé Claire, je n'avais pas suivi votre réponse.
Pour l'abonnement BC (Business Catalyst) hors CC (Creative Cloud), c'est principalement pour payer l'hébergement.
Vous aurez en plus les fonctions très utiles telle la modification dans le navigateur (IBE, in Browser Editing), que beaucoup réclamaient, pour échanger les corrections avec votre client, qui se répercutent sur votre fichier Muse par synchronisation.
Vous faîtes le site pour vos amis et potes, et si c'est un site sans aucune modification, ils peuvent l'héberger où ils veulent (et c'est gratuit). Si vous vous rendez-compte que vous aurez des modifications régulières (images, etc), alors plutôt que de faire des échanges incessants avec eux (le problème des potes c'est qu'ils sont (parfois) moins organisés que les clients qui payent à l'heure ), vous leur donnez un accès admin et ils font leurs modifs eux-mêmes.
Et au delà des 5 sites, le CC, c'est quand même toute la Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign… Muse, bien sûr, les outils vidéo, etc etc).

Si je veux acheter un nom de domaine, peut-on le faire directement à partir de Business Catalyst ?
Non, BC est un hébergeur, pas un bureau d'enregistrement. Donc à vous de rechercher un bureau d'enregistrement de nom de domaine.
Enfin, sur les sites publiés sur BC vs chez votre hébergeur, hormis le widget des formulaires avec Captcha, il n'y a pas de raison, on est en css, js, html, sans php ou quoi que ce soit. Je vous propose de reprendre votre sujet sur une autre discussion, et surtout de nous faire passer les liens BC et hébergé.
Parfois il s'agit simplement d'un problème de cache…

  • Transfer existing website to CS6 Business Catalyst as web host and few technical support issues

    Hi,
        I need assistance with transferring an existing website  - imagessays.com  -  (designed with Dreamweaver CS4) to my Creative Cloud CS6 account - to web hosting by CS6 Business Catalyst.
         Beyond that, need advice as to how to repair a couple of non-funcitonal links on site (check out site to see a couple of pics that don't work).  I'm looking forward to uploading more content (pitchers an' writin's) and to do major upgrade to the site, but am unable to do so ... need technical support re how to do these simple (should be) things.

    Once you have created a business catalyst site, all you need to do is to upload your existing site content to the your business catalyst site. I am assuming you have a local back up of you site.

    Hi, I have a small business in Brazil and I want to hire someone to edit my products photos. I was looking on the Adobe's website exist Creative Cloud for Teams, as I am a business, I need to use it or can I use the CC for Individuals? In Brazil to buy CC for Teams I need buy from Platinum Partners, and I beheld the average price and is very expensive compared to CC for individuals and CC for teams in other countries.
    One more thing, is there any Brazilian forum? I didn't find...

    Yes , You can surely go for CC Individual subscriptions if you wish to . If you are purchasing these subscriptoin for more then one Employee, I would suggest you to use different emails for the orders .

    I was able to reproduce the behavior you described with the way the project appears when uploaded and viewed on Creative Cloud. I have reported the behavior to our developers and it will be fixed.
    For the second issue I wasn't able to reproduce what you described. I uploaded a project from Proto 1.5 on my iPad2. Do you have version 1.5 too? and then imported into Dreamweaver CS6 version 12.0 build 5842. I wasn't getting any additional elements. Does this occur for you with a newly created project? Are you using Dreamweaver CS6 as well? Is Dreamweaver on Windows or Mac?

    Muse is probably the product you want to use. Dreamweaver does have both code and layout views.

    Webhosting plan included in CC does not include email hosting thus, you can purchase webBasics+ plan of Adobe Webhosting or choose some free email hosting providers to do that.

    Can anybody tell me what level of Business Catalyst sites are included in Creative Cloud. The web pages only say five sites, amd customer support can't seem to find the answer. Of the sites correspond only to the basic level, they really don't do anything for me.

  • BC and a Creative Cloud Membership

    I might be jumping the gun a bit but I saw this at the bottom of the new BC Site:  "Receive five complimentary Adobe Business Catalyst sites with an Adobe Creative Cloud membership." The find out more link did not answer my question which is:
    If I purchase a Creative Cloud Membership what level of sites are we talking about here? If it is let us say a webBasic Site do you pay the difference in cost to upgrade from Basic to  webCommerce?

    Hi Magda, I have watched the recording of the April Town Hall Meeting and really regret not attending now! I will make sure I get there for the next one.
    The new DW integration with BC looks great. Amazing to be able to go into BC Admin, which I call BC back end, by just clicking a tab, instead of having to have a browser open on my other screen to check things.
    I still do have a couple of questions from the meeting though:
    1. With Creative Cloud, does subscription give you access to Adobe software, or is there also a charge for the software? I can't work that out from everything I have read. I have a really old version of DW, InDesign and Photoshop, and need to pay a full $1500 fee for CS6. So if I can get access to the latest versions of those programs for $65 a month, that is a lot easier for our business to handle.
    2. With the new DW, with the new integration with BC, when you preview in a browser, is the preview online and live? (rather than looking at the file saved on your hard drive) if so that is a great improvement
    3. With the File download all sites option, will downloading the 86 sites our business has take very long do you think? It looks really great for doing webpage and customisation backups. I understand that I will still need to download data dumps of webapp items, newsletter members and shop products by going in to the back end, but that looks like a great time saver.
    4. With templates, at the moment in DW, I cannot access the templates area in a BC site by creating a template folder on the local site in DW (on my hard drive), making a template and then uploading it. BC gets confused and does not add it to the templates list in the back end. So I have to create a blank template in BC back end, then download to DW and work on it, remembering to save it as a .html file and not a .dwt file. I can create a stylesheet in DW in a stylesheets folder on my local drive and upload OK. I would be interested to see how the CSS side of things, linking templates to a stylesheet etc are now done.
    Overall, I can see that for our little business joining the Creative Cloud is what all three staff will need to do, instead of our various versions of Adobe products we are using at the moment. (My husband will have to have his Photoshop 7 version pried off him! lol! He has so far refused to update it.)
    This is all a brave new world for us, as we have been with BC since 2006 and learned how to do all this on the job, with a bit of web training at TAFE in between. I can see a greater learning curve here! But I am getting a bit less worried about it all now. Vlad has been doing a great job counselling me in various posts, including our LinkedIn group.

    Please check this document : http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2153. You do not need to do anything, just use your Business Catalyst Adobe ID to purchase Creative Cloud, and your two accounts will be linked.
    The 5 free Web Basics subscriptions you get with Creative Cloud can be redeemed only for new Web Basics sites, not for live sites.

  • Publishing News & Events to business catalyst news and a newsletter

    I have a problem that I hope you can advise on.
    We have a school website hosted in business catalyst with news & events, seperate to that we have a weekly newsletter created using word and published as a pdf.  Since going live with the web site I've found that the website news & events are duplicates of information in the weekly newsletter.
    My question is this.  In an effort to stop double handling news & events, is there a simple way of creating news & events once and publishing to both a newsletter and a news item in business catalyst.  I have a creative cloud subscription and hope that one of the many tools in the creative cloud suite will allow this.

    Ok, I can't seem to find a straight answer for this question anywhere online without something else I find contradicting it.
    PLEASE can someone tell me if my clients can edit text and images on Muse sites within Business catalyst, admin?
    Ido not care if it does not revert the changes to the muse application on my mac. I just want my clients to be able to maintain there text and images without contacting me.
    If and when the design needs to be changed on the original muse file, I will simply update the Muse file to correspond with the site online then make the further changes after that.
    I REALLY want to use Muse to create websites for my clients but if they can't update image/text content remotely then It's not going to work for me and 90% of freelance designers.
    Please can someone clear this up for me.

    I'll just clarify your request. So, you want to make sure that your site doesn't go down when you cancel your intuit account. Is that correct? If that's correct, please claim your site, add a domain name to it and post the trial URL here so that I can check your setup. If it's good they you can point that domain to us. Once you have done that and the new site is up you can cancel intuit account.
