Business Catalyst Blog into Muse

Hi there,
I'm attempting to move my entire business catalyst blog into muse so that I can rename the url instead of it being /_blog/blogname
My problem is that I cannot find an easy way to transfer the entire blog to a page. Business Cataylst has options for adding the blog to a webpage however it only transfers parts of it, such as the most recent post.
I'm a newbie and I'm trying to get my www.steannes.com/_blog/steannes to appear exactly the same on page within Muse.

I reviewed the steps to add the Blog; however, only one blog shows up on the site. I am using the {module_blogsite,5) as the reference on my Muse page. Also, in the preview in BC under Modules>blog the two post I have loaded are overlapping one another.
My steps to add teh blog to muse is
I created the blog, added the post then under More Actions I add the blog to my Muse page blog.I use insert all. Also, when I preview the blogthere is a bar that overlaps my title. Any help.

BC Gurus has free tutorials about Secure Zone, below are the links.
But these tutorials don´t show how to integrate these features into Muse.
I am sure that Chris Kellett (MuseGrid) or Steve Harris (Muse Themes) know how to do that but I don´t know how much they are charging for instructions.

Business Catalyst blog not working properly on my Muse site

I am following this tutorial to put a Business Catalyst blog onto my Muse site. Blog tutorial starts at 19:26.
I'm not sure what part I'm doing wrong, since I'm following it all accordingly, but when I publish the final version of my website, the blog module is showing up as a 'page not found' box.
My blog is all set up correctly on Business Catalyst too, and it is there. In Muse, my blog menus are pointing to /blog.
Can someone please give me some suggestions on how to fix this?
Kind of urgent, since it's for a one year anniversary celebration tomorrow, so I need my website all functional by then. I can give some more details/screenshots if you need them.

Paragraph Styles - how do i Know they are working on my site...So Business Catalyst (blog) can inherit them?

I have created my site in Muse and have adding a business catalyst blog module.
I have created my paragraph styles and added some code to the modulestylesheet.css.
Why is the blog not reading the typekit fonts?
How do I know muse is rendering the fonts properly?
Any thoughts would be appreciated,

Hi Darren,
I'm sorry you ran into trouble here. Currently, you can only use and preview the free and open-source Typekit fonts in Muse.
If you're comfortable with a little HTML/CSS, the Muse Insider wrote a post on how to insert the Typekit embed code from the Muse interface:

Or you can add the embed code to the Page Properties dialog within Muse, which will include it in the <head> of the page when you export your website.
However, we do see the value of being able to design in Muse with all the fonts in your Typekit library. This will require a deeper integration between Typekit & Muse. I'll give the team a nudge in this direction for you.
Also, I would be happy to take a look at a live url from the site. I'll be able to tell of the Typekit fonts are working and if not, suggest a solution. Let me know if you have any further questions and thanks for your patience.

Trouble with Business Catalyst FORM in Muse

I created a contact form at Business Catalyst, added it there to a published web page, copied the HTML, and inserted the HTML in Muse.
I placed the HTML on its own layer, and positioned it on the contact page, then edited it for style. This is what it looks like in Muse (image is cropped):
It looks identical when you Preview the page in Muse.
However, when I publish the site, the form is no longer on the top layer (but underneath the menu -a master page item- which in Muse is on a lower layer than the form); the form itself is positioned at 0,0 on the page, OUTSIDE the page boundary as specified in Muse, and all other page elements (except the master page items) are moved below the form vertically, but not together as designed in Muse: most (but not all) of them are stacked vertically at the bottom of the page.
In other words, the entire page layout is destroyed.
Here is what the published page looks like (image is cropped - upper-left corner is shown):

I'm setting up a new Muse retail site and need a compatible and easy to install e-commerce package. Does Adobe Business Catalyst offer an e-commerce package that embeds into Muse?

Business catalyst blog sumarry to JSON file for adobe animate

We are trying to map blog post list details to an adobe animate file. Like the module blogsite summary command for muse, we want to pass data to adobe animate. A json file could be loaded but can we pass a json file dynamically from business catalyst?

Not at the moment no, you can not have a json file like that automatically updated based on the blog.

How to insert a tumbler blog into muse web site?

Hey I was wondering if you know how to insert a tumbler blog into adobe muse? I have a tumbler account but would like to use it in adobe muse. how can I add it to my blog page in muse for desktop?

Goto your Tumblr account and then view it when you're logged out ... the URL link should look something like this?:
http://my-tumblr-blog.tumblr.com
Now copy & paste that URL link and insert it into this code snippet:
<iframe src="http://my-tumblr-blog.tumblr.com" onLoad="calcHeight();" scrolling="YES" frameborder="0" width="660" height="950" name="resize" id="resize"></iframe>
Now copy and paste this edited snippet into the Muse page where you want your Blog ... set the correct width and height in the code (see above) to fit your page ...
Cutomize it:
I would suggest customizing your Blog with the built-in customize HTML section to tweak the embedded Blog page ... i.e. turn off some of the Tumblr sections like Header, Description, etc, if you don't want them ...
Better still go over to this Tumblr Theme site and create a nice custom theme where you can do it all yourself ...
Then after that still use the snippet code above once you have copied & pasted the new customised Tumblr HTML into you Tumblr Blog:

The art is to streamline your Blog as much as possible so you get the most screen estate shown in Muse, because as an inserted iFrame widget you do lose a bit ...

Hide HTML extension on Business catalyst site from Muse

Good morning,
After done a layout design on adobe muse, Normally I publish the site to my third party hosting. It's amazing! that people will not know that i am using which platform to design this website unleash i put the design by muse badge. I done that by add some code to .htaccess on my hosting.
But my hosting speed might not good, so I try to upload to adobe business catalyst, I would like to ask is there anyway to hide the HTML extension like i used to be done on my previous hosting? I tried to upload the .htaccess too, but it not work.
I think this feature is should be include in business catalyst.@@

People in industry though can spot a Muse site from a mile away The markup (code) it produces is not that great and it does not form things that great and you are limited to what you can do such as this.
BUT
BC itself is totally supports none file extension URL's. Login to the BC site, go to the page in the site manager and edit the URL. I think you need to enable editing in the site settings and the cross syncing thing Muse apparently supports now but just know it will be a bit of a clunky process.

Integrate WP blog into Muse website

Hi,
I am about to design my own page, but would like to integrate my existing Wordpress Blog into a Muse site. Since both designs are very different, I would like to design in Muse and include the WP blog with very simple design into a Muse site. In the beginnings of HTML, you were able to include other sites (remember those ugly scroll bars).
is there any smart way to include this blog into an existing Muse website - pretty much have a header/footer/nav bar surronding the blog.

I don't think this is going to be very helpful.
I have been researching this. I like most Muse users am not a coder,
I love Muse in that it allows me to create what I am thinking about without mucking around in any code
But here is the problem....Muse creates an HTML site whereas Wordpress sites are PHP sites
I think the only way you could do it it properly is to either install wordpress onto a sub folder on your site named whatever you want your blog to be called and find a similar wordpress theme to your site then add a Photoshop button to link to that blog
or....and this is the one I am going to play with and if I can get it to work I will post my step by step instructions....because no one that I can find has tried to give a detailed how to on this process.
1.Create your site with Muse with a page for your blog in the site tree
2.Export to HTML
3. Open the Blog page with dreamweaver or another web coding program
4. change it to a PHP
5. add the code needed to make Wordpress work on this page
6. publish your site
I will admit I am really fuzzy on 5 at this point but I am working on it.
You will still need to upload Wordpress to your site
Can anyone at least tell me if this will work.

Business Catalyst Templates from Muse

Hey there,
I'm hoping someone can help me out!
Maybe i'm misunderstanding how BC and Muse are tied together, a website just fell in my lap recently. I'm trying to figure out what in Muse is telling Business Catalyst to generate a template for it.
I have many templates inside Muse but only a couple of them are being generated inside of Business Catalyst.
Basically, if I was to make a new template in Muse, how would I tell BC that I want it to be a template I can use there as well?

Hi Dawn,
Make sure that you insert the {tag_pagecontent} using the 'object -> insert html' option and not insert this tag on a master page, instead insert it on a web page.

When trying to add the domain name *wildwasatchmedia.com* so I can launch my website as GoDaddy for the register, in Business Catalyst, this happens ***error: domain name already exists, please delete any records of previous domain.*** There are no other records...... So how can I put in the Domain name so I can luanch my website?

Import Business Catalyst site into Dreamweaver {subject edited by moderator}

I created a website using Dreamweaver CC. I added business catalyst extension and want to use its feature for the site I created within Dreamweaver. However, every time I tried to open up the business catalyst section, it wants me to create a new trial site. How do I skip this step and integrate what I already created using Dreamweaver CC? I don't want to have a trial site. I want to use what I already created using Dreamweaver CC with the business catalyst extension. Help!!!!

I'm afraid that's how Business Catalyst works. You can't just upload any site to BC servers. You must first create a BC account, create a BC site template, edit your template, activate BC modules, etc... If all you want is to host your DW site without rebuilding it with BC, I suggest you look for commercial web hosting someplace else.

Adding a Business Catalyst modules to Muse

Hi,
I have been searching without success for a definitive guide to adding modules to my Muse sites, specifically a Blog and News feed. All tutorials I have found thus far require the developer tab which I believe only to be available if you pay for the full webCommerce package. However, webMarketing does include the Blog and News modules. And I am reading that I can achieve this with the webMarketing package.
Can anyone direct me to a comprehensive tutorial on setting these modules up with a webMarketing BC package.

Maybe explaining a brief history of how I got to this point will help?
I'm a graphic designer and have been designing static sites for clients using Muse. One client then enquired whether they could have a blog and news feed. After researching I settled on using BC as the documentation suggested I could do everything requested. I brought a webMarketing BC package and then uploaded the site to BC. I also brought a second webMarketing BC package for my business website. When I look at the BC Partner portal both sites that I brought with webMarketing packages are listed. I am then presented with two links for each site, one to look at site details and a manage link. The manage link takes me to the admin portal of the site, but there is no developer tab?
So the link you shared are ones I found previously and look perfect, but I can not achieve what I am after without the developer tab?
