Business Catalyst - Can I show different versions of my site pages to different types of visitors?

My organization's site is known to have three distinct type of a visitor - patient, parent, scientist.
Is it possible in Business Catalyst- and what is the best workflow - to create pages that allow to display a variation of content, based on who is viewing at the moment?
Promote certain items to the top for a patient, and other items to a scientist, for example?
Thanks, would appreciate any expert advice!

There are several ways you can accomplish that, the simplest is to have the three links ie patient, parent, scientist send the visitor to the relevant section of the site, but with each section maintaining the three links at the top.
Something like Dictionary.com | Find the Meanings and Definitions of Words at Dictionary.com where you have Dictionary, Thesaurus, Translate, ...

How do I reset Business Catalyst log-on after redirecting website to Google Sites?

I am trying to log into my Business Catalyst account after moving my website to google sites - the BC login tries to go to the new website instead of logging into a business Catalyst dashboard.
All I want to do is to make sure the Business Catalyst account is closed and files are deleted - but can't get to it.

Is the user logging out or is the internet disconnecting after 15 minutes?
If the user is logging out go to System Preferences > Security and there is an option to log-out after a specified time period inactive, uncheck that box.

Business Catalyst access permissions for different users

Hi there,
We want to have specific people have access to specific areas of a website we are developing and are considering using BC.
For example:
- Distributors will have their own section to access resources such as training manuals, videos and service agreements.
- Service techs - will have their own section to access resources such as service manuals, instal guides etc.
How does Business Catalyst allow different people to access different areas? Is it by:
- Password?
- People in the database are tagged, so they use their profile to access their own area?
- other?
If it is possible, could we be pointed in the direction of how to set this up?

Sounds to me like Secure Zones will do this for you...
You can create as many secure zones as you like and asign (or use registration forms) anybody to any zone. Ofcourse each zone can have it's own content, theme, etc...

Business Catalyst blog not working properly on my Muse site

I am following this tutorial to put a Business Catalyst blog onto my Muse site. Blog tutorial starts at 19:26.
I'm not sure what part I'm doing wrong, since I'm following it all accordingly, but when I publish the final version of my website, the blog module is showing up as a 'page not found' box.
My blog is all set up correctly on Business Catalyst too, and it is there. In Muse, my blog menus are pointing to /blog.
Can someone please give me some suggestions on how to fix this?
Kind of urgent, since it's for a one year anniversary celebration tomorrow, so I need my website all functional by then. I can give some more details/screenshots if you need them.

Business Catalyst templates not containing content in Muse built site

I am currently upgrading a clients website and have recently got into designing using Muse and thought I would try out the BUsiness Catalyst system to host it all etc. I wanted to use muse for the more static opages and the the blog for case studies and the ecommerce section for the product catalogue (even though we will not be selling online).
All was going swimmingly until I found the pages I had created for the main template pages {tag_pagecontent} or any other module on that note. The site search results was doing it too if the results can over a certain length. Its seemed that the page would be stuck at a standard height. I have dragged the content box down to meet the footer guide so in theory it expands the page when it has to but for some reason this isnt working for me. I am not sure if it is how I have sut up the footer or the page or the way I have the master pages working or something. I have tried various options but am about to give up. I either have to bin business catalyst or just use muse to create the whole catalogue but with over 200 products this could take some time.
I woudld appreciated some help from some more experienced users or techincal heads. I hope it is an easy fix or there is some way around it.

Also the sticky footer on these template pages and pages with module content (i.e the search results page) isnt sticking to the bottom as you can scroll past it. Which leads me to believe its something to do with the footer I have set up.

I did try unpinning but that didnt work for me either.
It took too long to get an answer so I am now using another system that doesnt have this problem. Hopefully when I use Muse again I wont have this problem. Sorry.

How can I concatenate different type(size, style, colour) of strings?

I would like to concatenate different type of strings (arial, underlined arial, code128 size=24). If I concatenate, it will be the same type. How can I set it up to show me the original style?

How can I ensure newer versions of the same page are opened every time I visit

I am advised by my Uni IT screen to ensure that firefox is set to check for 'newer versions of the same page with every visit to the page'. This is to ensure proper functioning inside the University's internal tutorial program.

Can you show different applications in different Dialog instances?

Hi,
We have a requirement but I don´t know if it is possible.
We have a Portal installation with One CI and 5 DI´s, let´s say that the requirement is to show in CI and DI(1) two applications, in DI(2) and DI(3) three applications different from the other two applications and in DI(4) and DI(5) one application different from the others.
Is this Posible? most of the applications are built on Webdynpro.

Really creative Solution, you are right this way it should work :O), I´m thinking that the roles will keep showing even though the applications wont work, but I don´t know if the client will like that the menues are displayed and can be selected and the applications wont show, do you know if there is a workaround that can be done on this situation? I was thinking on one but can´t detect a solution to make the roles variable depending on the applications runing.

In Business Catalyst: I have uploaded two versions of a website I am working on

I want to be able to see both versions (uploaded with separate sitenames), but I only see the latest upload. I also want my client to be able to see both.

Here are 3 options for future reference:
1. With the setup you've described, apply a Match Move behavior to the text and make the rectangle the source. Change the Transform parameter to Mimic source. This way you can still adjust the text postion as needed, but the rectangle will drive the animation.
2. Use a group to do the animation. Put both your rectangle and text in the same group and animate the group's postion.
3. Use the Link behavior.
Each of these has it's advantages depending on what you need.

Can I show different fonts and colors text on 1 multi-line text fields?

I'd like to show others that are not in my office a preview of the site I'm building before its published. Can I do that?

Print to pdf. Send the pdf.
Make a picture of the screen. Send the picture.
Publish with a different name and send the link.
That different name can be a second site, not the official one. Or publish to a different server.
Use your imagination. I just did it for you.

How to show different types of components in acolumn of a dataTable?

Giri I have found a way to show various components on conditional basis
Here is the below example for that approach
1. Create a new Project
2. Drag a dataTable component on default page (created by creator)
3. Remove column 3
4. Remove dummy data from Column 2
5. drag OutputText Object into Column2
6. drag Image component into column 2
7. drag checkBox component into Column 2. Now youe Page1.jsp code should look like something like Below
