Business Catalyst extension no longer working in DW CC 2014.1

I am trying to import a BC site in the new version of Dreamweaver. All I get is a dialog box telling me that I need to install the extension, which is already installed.
The Business Catalyst window just shows a link to a video and a 'Get Started' button which does nothing when I click it.

  • Dreamweaver Business Catalyst Extension Bug/crash

    I am having trouble with that Business Catalyst extension  in Dreamweaver CS6 ... to be exact, when i first installed Dreamweaver and the Business Catalyst extension with it, it worked perfectly fine, but after i clicked on the log out button on it, it stopped working completely and every time i try to log back into it, it crashes the whole Dreamweaver program... I have tried re-installing Dreamweaver, and it seamed to work again, but after i restarted my laptop, it stopped working again. I am guessing that it has something to do with the login, but have no idea how to fix it.
    I am running on Windows 7 HP pavilion dv7 laptop with a 2.10 GHz processor, 4GB RAM and more than enough harddisck space for everything to run good.
    I would rerally appreciate some help with this. Thanks in advance.

  • No login available in Business Catalyst extension panel in Dreamweaver CS5.

    I am not getting the login form in the Business Catalyst Extension panel in Dreamweaver CS5.
    I have added the extension and restarted Dreamweaver, but the panel still shows two buttons: Get Started ( taking me to download the extension) and Learn More ( taking me to a page that does not exist anymore).
    Does anyone know how to make the login form appear so that I can get Business Catalyst integrated with Dreamweaver CS5?

  • Can I resize the Business Catalyst Extension?

    I would like to resize the Business Catalyst Extension in dreamweaver. Right now a scroll bar sits in the middle of the extension window and I can't move this extension bar. Does anyone know how I can do so? Thanks.

  • Dreamweaver crashes when "initializing" Business Catalyst extension

    Hi,
    This was my first intent to use the the BC Extension for DW (CS4).
    First I was able to open DW and to to connect to BC via the extension panel. I uploaded my website to BC as a trail site and then the problems startet. DW would crash with almost any step I took.
    At least I was able to open DW again. But from the moment on, that I clicked "stay logged in" in the BC-Panel, DW crashes from the moment on, when "initializing" BC. That means, I just can´t use DW anymore, because the programme crashes before even opening.
    Anyone any idea?

    If you experience JavaScript error messages when using Business Catalyst extension with Dreamweaver clearing the cache of Dreamweaver almost always solves it.
    So there are two ways of solving this issues.
    The first one is to remove the extension through the Extension Manager and re-install it.
    The second one is to clear Dreamwaver's cache. Its cache is kept in a file in its Configuration folder. That file name depends on OS:
    For Windows  it is WinFileCache-<randomString>.dat
    For  MAC  it is MacFileCache-<randomString>.dat
    Deleting of that file clears the cache. After restarting Dreamweaver is creating new one.Location of the cache file defers for each version and operating system.
    Here is a list of locations depending on OS for Dreamweaver CS4
    Vista & 7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\<language>\Configuration
    XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\<language>Configuration\
    MAC: MacHD : Users : <username> : Library : Application Support : Adobe : Dreamweaver CS4 : <language> : Configuration :
    Note that folders AppData in Vista and Application Data in Win XP are normally hidden. In order to unhidden them you need to:
        For Vista:
            Open new Windows Explorer window.
            Press Alt to reveal the text menu.
            Choose "Folder Options" from "Tools" menu. In the pop-up window go to "View" tab.
            In the list of options find "Hidden fles and folders" section and mark "Show hidden files and folders". Press ok to Apply the change and to cloce the pop-up.
        For Windows XP:
            Same as for Vista except that you don't need to press Alt in order to reveal the text menu. It is always visible

  • Business Catalyst feature currently not working in Dreamweaver CS6

    Anyone else experiencing this? I can login to BC, but my module icons won't show and I can't jump to admin either. Is there a prferences setting I accidentally switched off? Is the system down?

    The Business Catalyst integration with Dreamweaver is just bug ridden. Since I first reported this bug 7 MONTHS AGO!!! (Thanks for getting on the problem Adobe) Anyway, since I first reported the problem I have purchased a brand new PC (this month) with a fresh install of CS6... I intentionally did not upgrade Dreamweaver CS6 because as soon as you do you lose all Business Catalyst function. Everything was fine until this morning when I logged on to work, launched Dreamweaver and again... I CAN'T LOG INTO BUSINESS CATALYST THROUGH DREAMWEAVER! Worked fine yesterday but today not so much... so here we go again -  unistall Dreamweaver re-install and hope it works. Not the most efficient system but when Adode doesn't respond to bug fixes for over half a year... there isn't much you can do. I'm a paid partner too... what a disgrace.

  • Business Catalyst extension not working since upgrade

    I have installed the CC 2014.1 upgrade and now can't get my BC extension too work.
    I click on Site->Manage Sites->Import Business Catalyst Site to add a BC site to DW and a dialog comes up saying BC is available as an add-on.
    That then takes me to the Adobe Add-ons page which says it is already installed. If I go to Windows->Extensions it says there are no extensions available.
    If I go to the Business Catalyst window in DW it shows a video link and a button that says 'Get Started' which does nothing.
    What has happened?

    I've installed the Business Catalyst add-on for Dreamweaver CC and I'm having a similar issue to the initial post above but I'm also receiving the error showing in the first (Dreamweaver) screen grab below. When I view applications through CC App, it shows that the Business Catalyst add-on is installed. Likewise, when I use the Adobe Extension Manager, it also shows the Business Catalyst add-on is installed. I've followed your instructions for cleaning up the Preferences. I've also tried uninstalling and re-installing the Business Catalyst add-on several times. I noticed one of the troubleshooting steps for Business Catalyst add-on states:
    a. Check the version of Adobe Extension Manager CC installed on your machine.
    b. If the version is not 7.3.3.39 or later, update your Adobe Extension Manager CC using the Creative Cloud app.
    I checked my version of Extension Manager and it's only at ver. 7.3.2.39 even though I followed the update procedure through the Creative Cloud app. I've closed all apps and re-started my computer. I've followed all the troubleshooting procedures I can find on the Add-ons website and the forums and I'm stuck.

  • I can't get the Business Catalyst add on to work due to file sync not working

    I'm trying to create a new Business Catalyst site via Dreamweaver. I installed the add-on in creative cloud, restarted my machine and Dreamweaver. I realised that in Creative Cloud preferences file sync was turned off, so I turned it on and restarted my machine and found that in preferences it was turned off again. I need to know why it won't save this setting.

    Are you running LabVIEW 7.0? The 7.1 version seems to work reliably but the 7.0 version does not to seem to work most of the time. I am having the same problems as you describe. Must be some bug in 7.0, but I have not had time to compare the code. Anyone?

  • Business Catalyst Admin - no longer have access to domain or site.

    Hello, we were using business catalyst with a domain that we have since given up and no longer have any access too. We are seeing the weekly status reports come in but can't find any way to stop them due to no longer having access to the associated domain. Does anyone know if there is a method to turn this off in a situation such as this?

  • Help after downloading the business catalyst extension

    I have downloaded the catalyst extension and when i go to dreamweaver , windows, business catalyst, nothing happens

    If you have a Business Catalyst site file open you shoud see this as in the screenshot. There is also a new 'Business Catalyst' workspace as well.

    I have DW 2014.1 installed and up to date. Followed all guidelines when installing BC extension. Restarted machine, restarted DW. Uninstalled BC extension, reinstalled extension. Adobe extension manager up to date. Creative cloud desktop is running with sync on.

    Can you try the below steps:
    1. Goto AddOns page and uninstall Business Catalyst.
    2. Now verify that BC is no more installed on your machine for DW CC 2014.1 (Goto Site menu > Manage Sites.....Import Business Catalyst Site Button should NOT be available anymore)
    3. Clean up your DW CC 2014.1 preferences. To do so, please delete the following folders:
    Win : %appdata%/Adobe/Common/15.0 ; %appdata%/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2014.1
    Mac : ~/Library/ApplicationData/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 ; ~/Library/ApplicationData/Adobe/Common/15.0
    4. Now Re-install the BC Extension from the AddOns page.

  • Import Business Catalyst site button not working

    I have installed Dreamweaver and activated it. I am trying to import a draft site which I developed on an old computer and the "Import Business Catalyst site" button does nothing. Likewise in the Bus Cat side panel, the "Get Started" button starts nothing.
    Does anyone know what the problem may be?

  • MX Records added to business catalyst but email not working since site was taken offline (subsequently put back online) by registrar.

    We've been experiencing some issues sending and receiving email since 1and1 took our domain name down. We've now got the site back live (check devonshiremarkets.com) but emails are still not being received. I have been informed the MX records have not been propagated for the domain name.
    Check MX Lookup Tool - Check your DNS MX Records online - MxToolbox and search the domain devonshiremarkets.com. You should see no MX records are associated with the domain name.
    Under the business catalyst management section the MX records have been correctly assigned to google apps MX records as follows.
    ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 1, TTL 3600)
    ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 5, TTL 3600)
    ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 5, TTL 3600)
    ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 10, TTL 3600)
    ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 10, TTL 3600)
    Is there any reason why our email is still down and what do we have to do to get it fixed?

  • Edge Inspect extension no longer working

    I recentlyl tried using Edge Inspect and it no longer works. I checked my inspect.js file and there's no "shadow" in the version that I have. I also uninstalled and re-installed the app and turned firewall on and off with no success.
    has anyone else experience this issue and found a solution to their problem?
    I'm also open to other services that offer cross-browser testing, preferably free.

  • Which extensions no longer work under 3.6.6 ?

    I hesitate to upgrade to 3.6.6 because whenever I upgrade some extension gets clobbered.
    Mozilla gives no hint about which extensions won't work under a new release, so I'm loath to upgrade.
    Is there a list somewhere of extensions clobbered or not by 3.6.6?

    The problem here is that Firefox does not develop the addons. Most addons are developed by outside people and therefore we don't support them. I would upgrade to 3.6.6 and by now most addons should be up to date and if there not give it a week or two. Note all the addons I use all work with the latest version of Firefox.
