Business Catalyst premium partner and CC

I am a BC premium partner with CS5.5 and was thinking of upgrading to CC.  My worry is I don't want to lose all my sites that i created with BC over the last 2 years.  Is this upgrade to CC a seemless one or is there issues with BC and CC??
I dont care about the 5 websites you get with CC, i just don't want my current sites getting messed up because of upgrading to CC. Any advise from BC partners would be appreicated.

CCM will not affect your current sites. Feel free to purchase creative cloud membership.

    Has the Business catalyst premium partner membership been changed, I can't find any references to it anymore. If so what changes have been made? and how do they affect normal members?

    With a premium partner account you can rebrand the BC Admin area with your company's logo, add your logo and brand to all outgoing emails/worfklow notifications and can bill your customers at your own price (markup BC prices) and setup one monthly bill if you choose.  BC will bill you for your client's sites but you are responsible for billing them at whatever price you want and you are responsible for taking the payments.  You also get a free partner website which you can use to sign up new customers and even bill them from there with recurring subscriptions if you wish.
    Besides setting your own billing rates for BC services for your clients you also receive a commission on 20% of your clients' monthly bill and if you refer a reseller or another partner you will get 10% of all their monthly charges as well.

  • How would I create a mobile blog layout, by combining Business Catalyst's Modules and Adobe Muse's mobile design function?

    The title says it all. I absolutely love Adobe Muse's ability to design mobile and tablet layouts and have grown very fond of the workflow between Business Catalyst and Adobe Muse. The only issue I have found is the ability to incorporate the blog module to a mobile design or tablet design. I understand that Business Catalyst has you insert a tag code to create a page template for the blog to sit in but is there any way to have a mobile and tablet layout for the same blog? I would love if visitors reading my blog from their phone, didn't have to switch from a phone layout to a desktop layout just to read the blog. Once they read/ switch the blog, they can no longer navigate back to the mobile website version because of the page template I have assigned to the blog. All in all, I just want the ability to have the blog fit all mobile, tablet, and desktop versions. Any ideas?

    That answer really helped and I am making progress! Now for some reason when I pull up the blog on my mobile, it says 'Error: Some files are missing or can not be loaded. Please clear cache and reload the page.' Any ideas why this might be happening? I haven't used the {system_visitorDeviceClass} that you mentioned.
    Maybe the method I used to create mobile layouts was wrong but what I did was create mobile and tablet layouts with the {tag_pagecontent} on each. Once published, I copied the html code for the phone template (as it did not automatically recognize the mobile and tablet page template were part of the same desktop layout) and pasted it to my template I had already assigned as a default. I then did the same for my tablet layout. What am I missing here : /

  • Help with Business Catalyst Web forms and Adobe Muse.

    I created a websform to log into a secure zone using business catalyst. I pasted the webform's html into Adobe Muse. After publishing my site. The websform I created in business catalyst is deleted, but I can see all of the forms that I created using Muse in the webform section. Is there a fix for this problem? Thanks

    There is a workaround. It takes a little more work, but it is definitely worth it and will solve your problem. I subscribed and learned from tutorials on the www(.)trainsimple(.)com. They have a video series called "Muse CC Business Catalyst Integration" which was very helpful. The issue that everyone on here is referring to is covered in the 3 videos labelled, "Email Sign Up Checkbox", "Moving Muse Webforms to Business Catalyst" and "Email Marketing".
    Essentially, what you want to do is create a form in Business Catalyst, turn that form into a module, assign a tag to that module, then put the tag into Muse using Object > Insert HTML. This will solve Muse deleting the web forms everytime.

    Hi ! I am new to here and confused about differences for business catalyst in Japan and United States.
    I have been learning how to develop web page using Muse, Dream Weaver, HTML, etc..for trial creative cloud before I buy.
    I live in Japan and I am wondering if there is much deferences between business catalyst for U.S. and Japan ( I guess Japanese version named Adobe Web Hosting)
    Using Adobe Web Hosting in Japan, It is so limited that I can do in online web application menu and system is not so complicated as U.S. business catalyst.
    because I am still in trial version or Is it limited like it in Japan.
    What I want to do with business catalyst is just create web page and put some product in for e-commerce and start little shop however there are no menu for e-commerce or even SEO things, etc...
    I may be still logging in U.S. business catalyst so I can use full servieces. but...

    There is only one universal Business Catalyst.
    What I think is happening here is that the site you have created is under a plan that does not include eCommerce- so what you need to do is:
    Either create a new one under Web Commerce
    or
    Upgrade the existing one to a paid Web Commerce plan
    or
    Ask Support to upgrade your trial site to Web Commerce.

  • Business catalyst only

    in my site on one of the pages i use used the content tab to sync the text to my mobile site. when i upload site via ftp (which is my normal method of uploading from muse) i notice that that page that i used the content tab on is not available. when i took the content tab out of the page and again uploaded the page was available.
    also i have a page with an accordion widget on, i upload this and the page is not available.
    I have experimented with uploading to business catalyst and found that the page with the content tabs on is now viewable and the page with the accordion widget is viewable also.
    at the moment as the page is still under development i can continue to upload to my created business catalyst site but when my page is complete i want to push it to my paid site but i cant see an option other than uploading it straight to your catalyst site.
    as i said before the upload to ftp would be my normal route to upload to an external site however this seems to not be displaying the pages right this way.
    what can i do?

    i have cleared my cache & still nothing
    if you go to my site home and click on the about page it will show with a not found page.
    if you go to my business catalyst site home and click on the about page it loads without problems.
    nothing was changed in muse in between uploading the 2 sites

  • Muse with Business Catalyst vs GoDaddy

    My client would like to make edits on his own to his website I built for him in Muse.  I currently host his site the their emails via GoDaddy. I also have two Wordpress blogs wrapped into the same hosting package.  That being said, I really don't want to move my hosting from GoDaddy to Business Catalyst.  Is there a way to sign up for a Business Catalyst hosting account and have GoDaddy point the website to the Catalyst servers so my client could make updates?  I know we'd have to pay for a Catalyst account AND GoDaddy, but that might be not a bad deal depending on the situation.  Looking for guidance.

    Yes, you can just point the web traffic to BC through the A-record.
    The blogs will then stop working and will have to be setup as subdomains.

  • Domain name deletion within Business Catalyst

    I am trying to add a domain name to a website created with Muse and hosted through Business Catalyst, but I am receiving this error meassage 'Domain already exists. Please delete all records associated with the domain before re-adding it'. Anbody know how to do this please? The domain I need to use was used in a previous website which had a single, monthly Business Catalyst hosting subscription, and I now need to add this domain name to the website I am hosting through the included sites provided with the Creative Cloud monthy subscription.

  • Business Catalyst email clients forgot password

    Client using Business Catalyst as CMS and email client DNS was moved, then when email access to the former Business Catalyst mail (mail.hostedemail.com) was not available DNS was reverted back.
    We need to determine if the following process steps are correct
    1) A recovery email needs to be sent from the Business Catalyst CMS
    with the DNS records and CNAME records INTACT reverted back to Business Catalyst CMS and mail
    2) That password will be used to log in https://mail.hostedemail.com/?_task=login
    3) Mail migration and archive can begin. Username password resets will be performed for
    each user.
    Question: Archive (mail up to the DNS and MX change of a day ago) mail is still on the server (worldsecuresystems.com) hostedemail.com

    When DNS was removed from the BC Site Admin, if the MX record was deleted then the e-mails (the entire mail account) were deleted from OpenSRS (our email provider). When the DNS was re-added, the account at SRS was re-created, but from scratch. So what needs to happen here in order to recover lost e-mail is to have this issue raised to our provider. What I'll kindly ask you to do is raise a ticket with our Support Channel, and we'll pick up from there.

    The programme itself works fine but when i click anything to do with Business Catalyst it freezes and shuts the programme down.
    I have re-installed several times and tried on both my PC and Laptop with no joy - i have even downloaded the trial to see if its a problem with the full edition and no luck...
    Any ideas?

    Okay, i figured out what it is. Might be a bug, not sure. If i create a template using dreamweaver and create editable areas, the only true editable area is the {page_content}. What's buggy is that when i download a page based on a template (page.html) through dreamweaver, it will download the page and in the code view it will show you the dreamweaver template and the editable areas you set. These cannot be changed. When you download page.html using a different FTP program, you will actually get the true contents of the page. So for example, if i enter

    using BC adding a page and select a template, when downloaded through a different FTP client, the page will look like this:
