Business Communication Management(BCM) Installation Error...

Hello,
I am installing BCM application on W2K 2003 server and SQL Server 2005. I have completed all the pre-requisite steps for BCM application. And I installed the Virtual Unit Administrator, and tried to start the application. Now I face the error ...
C:\Program Files\SAP\BCM\VUA\VUA.exe
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the applicaton may fix the problem.
According to the message I reinstalled the application several times, but no result.
I also tried to start the VUA.jar file from the folder C:\Program Files\SAP\BCM\VUA. This gave me the error as below..
com.sap.plaf.frog.FrogLookAndFeel
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sap.plaf.frog.FrogLookAndFeel
at java.netURLClassLoadn$1.run(Unknown Source)
at java.sercurity.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
The Frog.jar file exists in the same folder. Could someone suggest where I went wrong in this installation please?

-> Select the Find your software tab ->
-> Installations and Upgrades
-> Select "B" -> SAP BCM SOFTWARE
-> There you will see the available versions
-> Select the latest one (presently that is BCM60SP09)
You can also refer to the SAP Software Catalog at https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/swcat , if you prefer software being delivered to you on CD, DVD or Blu-ray.

Sizing for SAP BCM (Business Communication Management)

We have to provide a server sizing to be used for SAP BCM (Business Communication Management) module which will be intergrated with SAP CRM and is to be used for call support. As far as we have reached, we require a Windows server and will host MS SQL database with an approx consumer data of 63 lacs consumers.

Sorry, forgot to ask how much physical memory you have on each host.
Let's split it to 2 topics.
1. For ECC, since OracleDB and non-unicode page which are the 2 major factors won't be changed, so I would think here we could just do a math, as long as host A has enough memory which is allocated for Oracle and ECC (extended memory) on host B to be added up.
2. For EP, memory tuning size is basically the same for HP JDK and SUN JDK, that each server node is allocated approximately 2.5GB RAM. Besides, 0.8-1GB RAM needs to be left for OS kernel. But in your case, host B is currently holding 200 users which is a big jump for host A(note: only active user quantity matters here).
That's fine if main physical memory is a little short for host A, utilizing multiple less powerful servers as 2nd tier application server to do the load balancing is also a solution with lower TCO.

Removing Business Contact Manager BCM from my Lenovo IdeaCentre K210

I am trying to load Office 2003 on my K210. It appears the pre-loaded trial version of Office 2007 is causing a conflict... "BCM Office Addin - Office Application Version does not match". My research says i should uninstall the Business Contact Manager (BCM). I am trying to uninstall BCM but need more help... I already uninstalled the pre-loaded trial version of Office 2007. Any help would be appreciated.

Please try to disable the add-ins except for Outlook BCM one and restart Outlook to check if the issue still happen.

Hi, it maybe a permission issue of your task directory (%windir%\Tasks).

In the thread Bechir Gharbi gave some steps to fix it:
    - Remove the MP as a site system role (if it is still installed), wait for it to finish
    - Remove IIS completely
    - Reboot the server
    - Stop the Task Scheduler Service
    - Rename the %windir%\Tasks folder to something else (or move it)
    - Start the Task Scheduler Service (this will recreate the %windir%\Tasks folder)
    - Reinstall IIS, BITS, WebDAV
    - Insure BITS and WebDAV are enabled
    - Reinstall the MP

I have solved the issue. The issue is related with a wrong installation package that we have downloaded from SAP portal. I have opened a OSS ticket and they have provided me the information that we need to install BCM 6.0 service package 9 (with stand alone installatioın). then your problem probably be solved.

SAP Business One Development Environment Installation Error

I am having hard time installatin the SDK (B1DESetup_2.1)..
I always get the same error:
The installer has encountered an unexpected error... The error core id 2869.
I am running it on a Windows 7 laptop and I tried to run it as admin and also using the compatibility mode
I do not have SAP B1 installed locally (I do not have any copy of it)
IAt the end, what I want to achieve id to develop an interface module to exchange data between my application and SAP B1 using SAP DI APIs

The quick story is that we are developping an interface for a customer who have SAP B1 installed...
We do not have SAP B1 installed locally.
We need to develop using this DI API and we will test with the customer SAP B1server.
So at the end, the quiestion is is it possible for me to develop using the interop.SAPBobsCOM.dll API only... I will connect to my customer SAP B1 using VPN...?

Business Explorer 7.0 Installation error.

we have installed Business explorer 7.0 but when we execute the query designer the system gives a error as
"".NET framework Initialization error"" ""unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application"". even when we execute WAD it gives the same error. I tried reinstalling .NET framework for the suitable version but did not helped.

Hi, I wanted to know the file formats in which I can generate files from a BCM module.
I read that standard SAP Idoc is not supported; can someone help me with the formats supported or confirm if Idoc is supported now.

All the standard PMW (payment medium workbench) formats are supported in BCM.
Have a look at the T Codes OBPM1/ OBPM2/ OBPM3/ OBPM4. You can find various formats.
You can find the documentation for the same in the below path:
SPRO>IMG>Financial Accounting (New) -->AR/AP --> Business Transactions --> Outgoing Payments --> Automatic Outgoing Payments --> Payment Media --> Make Settings for Payment Medium Format from PMW.
For instance, you can use ACH format for US payments.

According to your description, we need to verify the version of the SQL Server, usually the warning of compatibility issues applies to all SQL Server Express editions when installing Business Contact Manager (BCM) 2007 on Windows 7/8. The incompatibility
was fixed in SQL Server 2008 Service Pack1 and SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 on Windows 7.
