Business Components, Views, cursors

Question

I've defined two views. One is the view of a department table (deptview), and the other is a view that joins the employee table with the department table (empview) in order to display the department name along with the employee information.
I've noticed the following behaviour in the business component tester. When I choose to display both views in the tester I've noticed that the empview controls what is shown in the deptview. For instance, if employee 1 has department A, then the only department I can see in the deptview is A.
This is definitely not the functionality I want. I want he deptview to display all departments regardless of the current position of the cursor in the empview.
I am at a loss as to how I can control this behaviour.
Note, I am working with a JSP web app, and specifically the JSRowSetBrowser.

Edit your application module and look at the first tab (Data Model). In the left hand side, your dept view probably exists both as a stand-alone view object and also as a child of empview through a Link object. On the right hand side, it is shown only as the child view. Add the standalone empview to the right hand side. It will get a slightly different name (eg. deptview1). Now when you test the AM, you should see both deptview (constrained) and deptview1 (unconstrained).
