Business connector services for PO

Hi Expeets,
I have to send Purchase order data to an external application (SQL) using IDOC when PO release. Means when PO release an IDOC send. I am getting IDOC in Business Connector.
But i have dont no how to create services in BC Developer, I got an idea but i dnt no how to start creating service.
After ending an IDOC to BC when i opened BC developer i found a component for my message type(created new) which is havin 1map and a service '<b>Transport Service</b>'
Do i need to use this anywhere or i need to create new, can anyone tell me a step by stepprocess how to create service and from where i have to start. In the develper document they onlu mentioned what r diffrent components and services, there is nothing from where i have to start
Please help me as it is very urgent

hi,
with business developer installation you get a DOCs folder where you can find the best BC guides there are - if you're not satisfied however you can always attend BC530 and BC531 from SAP
but those from docs folder are enough to start doing flows in BC,

Configuring blackberry business cloud services for office 365

HI,
As of now we are in process of moving to office 365 . We have to configure office 365 for blackberry devices .
Here we have Blackberry enterprise server and devices are Blackberry Curve and Bold , etc .
When i gone through the technet i have seen two options.

Is SAP Business connector required for faxing of scripts....

Do we need to have SAP Business connector if we want to fax the script or form ?

No, it is not required. At my company we use a third party software to handle all faxes. Really it is setup SAP as an output device, so it is just like printing to a printer. THe only differences is we need to have a header page in the sapscript which gives all of the details of the fax to the third party software. This software then strips off this first page and faxes the rest of the pages.
It is called RightFax and it runs on a separate server.

Problem with Business Connector (Service to read body in http)

Hi all,
I have the following scenario:
BC1 --> BC2 --> SAP
BC1 send a file using http. This file hasn´t XML structure because the file is encrypted. The content of the file is sent into the body of the http message, not into the header.
BC2 has a service prepared for receiving the file from the header of the http message (param "invoice"), not from the body. The call is:
http://?invoice=
I need to include a new service before the previous one,in order to read the content of the file from the body of the message, mapping the content to variable "invoice" and the continuing with the treatment.

Can you post what your expected XML result looks like ? The values structure is an internal structure of how BC represents that information. What types are you passing back as output variables in your service ? A recordlist ? Is it possible that you forgot to call a service step which converts document to string (so that you get the desired XML) ?

The problem is the connection between the Integration Scenarion Configurator (Integration Directory) and the central SLD which means that the XI is not on the SLD host.
When I try to assign the business systems, which I created in the SLD, I have to assign a service (business system) to every single role. When I am trying to add a line and display the list of permitted values a new box opens in order to select the service.
Selecting the product, i.e. SAP R/3 the pop up with the error appears.
Do you need more information please let me know which!

Missing Inbound Interface under Edit Service for Business System

Hello All,
I have to configure a Scenario at Integration Directory. Import from IR already done.
When i try to configure a Service under Party\Service\Business System I am not able to find the special IDoc type (here) PROJECT:PROJECT01 under register card "Receiver" (Inbound Interfaces) for the SLD defined Business System.
How can i add the IDoc type here?

please let me explain more in detail. All answer not really facing my problem.
At Integration Directory i want to create a Business System Service for a external incoming connection.
When i try to create under the Scenario e.g. "IS_WBSElements" the Service " BTS_Partner" under \Party\<partern>\Service\Business System\ at Display Service i couldn't find the IDoc Type PROJECT.PROJECT01. This will displayed at Display Services under Point Business System "Receiver" card (Inbound Interfaces"). There is a list of some Inbound Interfaces displayed with column Name, Namespace and Software Component Version.
When try to add a different Business System under Party\Service e.g. BTS_CCM i get much more Inbound Interfaces displayed incl. PROJECT.PROJECT01.
Perhaps there is a relation between Inbound Interface and the Business System?!

Not giving paid for next business day service

Hi Has anybody got a number I can phone in the uk for customer complaints? My nine month old thinkpad screen went. Company paid for extra next business day service for repairs. At first they said they didn't have a replacement and it would take an unknown amount of time to find one. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they found one.Next business day then became two days later because they sent out requests to all engineers by 3pm. I had the contract in front of me saying they had to receive the call by 4pm. They said sorry there is nothing they could do about it. Why bother paying for next day - poor service for a premium price.

Using Business Connector to convert a file to XML

Hi, I have been asked to see if a flat file created by an abap program can be converted to XML format using Business Connector (4.7). I have looked in the tutorial and the pdf documents but can not see how this is done. Please could someone give me some advice?
- Is this possible using built-in Business Connector services - or is it more complicated?
- Should I even bother to try to do this when it it easy for me to create an XML format file from ABAP?
- Is there a good course, book, documentation that would help me?

Hi Andy!
Our customers have this requirement to convert some "flat-file" into some XML format via Business Connector quite often. The best way (as the last post sugessted) is indeed to use the "EDI-Adapter" which is free of charge (service.sap.com/connectors).
With that module you can convert all flat-files (delimiter based, offset based, mixed, even classical EDI formats, ...) based on some definition ( = template). Be careful the EDI-Adapter Module download page states that it is supported for BC version 4.6 . However it is absolutely no problem to use it in BC 4.7 versions as well. Remember that you will NOT get any official support by SAP when using the EDI-Adapter module.
Simply import the EDI-Module as general BC package (server/replicate/inbound directory).
Generally it is very powerful, stable and well documented ...

Business connector developer-Error message 'No IDOC found in input'

Hi,
Please note that this query is related to business connector developer not to XI.
I have created a flow service based on an IDOC. When I tried to test the service from the business connector developer it gives me an error 'No idoc found in input'. I have done the setting based on the business connector configuration guide. The idoc also send to the port successfully.
Can anyone guide me how to trigger the test from business connector developer for an idoc.

Hi,
Probably you would have created the routing today, with valid from todays date. But the order you are creating may be with start date in past and system is not able to find and valid routing for the day.
I would suggest you to remove both the Basic "Start" and "End" and change the scheduling type to "Current date Scheduling", now enter. If system still not finding the routing, use the function "Read PP Master data".

Business Connector Limitations

My client wants to use business connector for mutual transfer of the EDI Documents with their customers. For some reason, they dont want to go with XI.
Just wanted to know if there are any limitations with SAP Business Connector? Would it be able to meet all the EDI requirements? What are the scenarios in which the Business Connector would fail?

These errors don't stop the business connector from starting up, but the errors are not normal behaviour. When I try to start the business connector through a Windows service then I get the message "Could not start the SAP Business Connector Service on Local Computer. Error 126: The specified module could not be found".
I have a working business connector installation on a Windows 2000 server, and when I checked the error log of that installation I noticed that it had logged the same errors about the 'WmPartners' package. It on the other hand didn't have any problems loading the 'SAP' package.
I tried installing the business connector on two different systems with identical results. Has anybody been able to get the business connector to work on Windows XP?

Business Connector Combine MATMAS & CLFMAS

Hello.
I'm wondering what's the best way to combine a matmas and clfmas in business connector 4.7?
Is there a way only sending 1 idoc from sap with the matmas+clfmas content? This would eliminate my combination problem in business connector.

Jeroen,
In SAP you can send out both MATMAS and CLFMAS. You have to set the "Send material in full" check box. You will need to have both MATMAS, CLFMAS and DOLMAS in your partner profile.
You can ignore the DOLMAS.
You then should have both IDocs in SAP BC (you may need to set the packet size to get them together).
If not build your self a simple queue by using the repository store and storing the first IDoc using the link (MATNR) as the key.
