Business Content Query

Hi All,
I would like to know the importance of Business Content Query, Like:
1. why they are used?
2. What is the advantage of Business content query against a customized query for a Business content cube?

Hi Samala,
For each Module we have Business content queries
for example : SD,MM,PM,PP etc For these we have business content queries.
We take SD as eaxample: SAP has given business content quries in SD, If the client satisfis with the Business content query, There is no need to create new query. We can use the same query.
If the client has some new requirement like adding 1 extra field to the business content report, at this time we need to customize the query.
Advantages of Business content : No need to create new query, Lot of time and manpower save

We are in BI 7.0 and trying to install a business content query "Balance Sheets Profit and Loss Statement" but while activating we are getting the error that some Particular Request has not been found or not suitable. we checked for that request in SE09 and found that there is no such request existing in the system. So what could be the cause of the Error and what to do for successfully Installing the Query.

Are you assigning a new request or creating a new one? Try to assign to a new request if you are not doing so.

Finding data in a datasource/ Business Content Query

Hello,
can you help me with this one -- background to this problem is shown below:
Question:
1.
No data was found in my infocube so I went o R3 to see if the datasource had any data in it by running rsa3 but found no datasource 2LIS_02_S012, although rsa5 shows that it exists. What could be happening?
2.
Also, how do I see the queries which come with the InfoCube? When I go into BEx, I see the dimensions to create my own queries, but where are the ones which comes with the Business content for me to use?
Background to Questions----
I was experimenting with an MM InfoCube 0PUR_C01, and my research indicated that the datasource which supplies this this infocube with data is 2LIS_02_S012. The notes on this datasource indicates it could be extracted as a standard extraction or LO. I did standard, rsa5, rsa6, etc...replicated in BW, etc.
I later created and InfoCube zpur_c01 and copied from 0pur_co1, etc. ...then later created and infopackage and loaded data into the InfoCube for the purposes of reporting.

To answer your first question.
- The datasource 2lis_02_s012 that you have seen in rsa5 is in the delivered version you need to transfer this into the active version. Select the datasource in rsa5 and click the transfer datasource button. After you have done this you will see the datasource in rsa6.
Also since this datasource is a Logistics Info Structure the LIS reporting should have been activated and in use.
For your second question
- If you have already identified a standard business content query that you want to use through the metadata repository, you can activate the report through the business content tab in rsa1.

Error in Business content Query

Hi,
we have activated the business content for General Ledger (New). We have successfully executed all data loads.
but, the standard query 0FIGL_V10_Q0001 which is activated, is not executing properly.
It throws up a message "Value '0' is invalid for property 'Ref. Characteristic' of element 'Balance Sheet Value'" and no data is displayed.
On analysis, we find that, for the calculated key figure Balance sheet value the Ref. characteristic in the Aggregation tab is set as [0]0.
Has anyone faced this issue before. could anyone help us to fix it?

Business Content query cant able to see in Bex.

Hi BW Experts,
I have installed the query 0PS_C04_Q1000 from the business Content.After installing, I couldnt find the query in Bex analyzer. But in the business Content the query is showing that it is already installed.
Can u pls help on this issue.

RRMX->Open Queries->do a search giving the query name 0PS_C04_Q1000 in Description/Technical Name area and click ok. If it is installed properly, you should find it here.
Also check table RSRREPDIR if you can see it. If not, re-install the query from BI content again and try.

Check the relevant Datasource for your Infocube in help.sap.com. Install from RSA5 and RSA6 in ECC side.
Replicate in BW and Install your Cube from BI content.
Actually you can check your cube in Meta data repository.

Error During Business Content Query Activation- Very Urgent

Hi All,
I am trying to install few queries in business cube 0pur_c01, which is already in production and already lot many queries are running.
As per requirement i have to install New quries in the 0Pur_C01
0PUR_C01_Q0012 : Ordering Activities
0PUR_C01_Q0015 : Purchase Order Values
0PUR_C01_Q0013 : Vendor Comparison re Purchase Values
0PUR_C01_Q0004 : Values Purchase Order Delivery Invoice
0PUR_C01_Q0023 : Total and Average Order Value
Out of these five quries i am unable to install 0PUR_C01_Q0012 : Ordering Activities and geeting error message during simulate install rest queries has been installed already without any issue once i have unselected the already transported
element.
I am doing the same for query 0PUR_C01_Q0012 : Ordering Activities but getting error message

To rectify this error,
BEx transport request 'SBDK900497' is not available or not suitable
Go to Transport Connection, there click on "BEX" "Create tranport request for BEX", there insert a new row, and create a new request. This is the default request for BEX queries.
While transporting , dont tranport this request, collect the objects which you want to tranport and create a new request.
Error when activating element 9W6JIW7YMO04XVOZ5ATLLFLPB
For this error, check the object in meta data repository, whether the object is in active version or not.I think this object is not in Active version thats why you are getting this error.

Problem while installing SAP Business Content - Query

Hi SAP BI experts,
I am trying to install standard SAP BI contents, but getting following error while installing following queries.
1. Warehouse Stock Analytics - Inventory Turnover - 0IC_C03_Q0024
2. Inventory Turnover - 0IC_C03_Q0017
I am getting the following error while simulating install:
1. Error when activating element 4WXUV5NRUZR0GYY1WYB22EUIA / Message no. R9118
2. Object directory entry R3TR ELEM COAFSEIKGP51QJYSMX9FCEI9E does not exist / Message no. TK753 (for Calender Day)

Hi Bidyut ,
Try to install the following objects with the option 'DataFlow Before and Afterwards ' under the grouping option .
This will collect all the necesary objects that are required for its activation .
After the necesary objects have been collected , tick mark the necessary objects then choose install .

Technical Content - Query Execution

Hi,
I have recently activated the Technical Content.
How do I identify the number of the times the query has been executed by the user? I found one column 'Number of Navigations' in the BW-Statistics workbook. What is this meant for ?

If you want to analyze a certain query, start it and filter the values from the table afterwards: Selection options: infocube, user name, queryid (can be determined in the report monitor (Transaction RSRT)-> Technical information). The STARTTIME (UTC time) tells you whether you have found the correct session.
You can recognize a session because the QSESSION is always assigned the same ID. The sequence of the navigation steps is saved in QNAVSTEP. However, you can also determine it using the STARTTIME.

How to get Business content WAD reports in BI 7.0

Hi All
I am generating CRM reports in BI. I got all the business content query designer reports but I am not able to find its corresponding WAD reports. BW 3.5 business content CRM WAD repots are available. I am working on BI 7.0 so if I implement BW 3.5 wad reports I need to migrate the reports manually to BI 7.0. Is there anyway to identify BI 7.0 wad reports. Because I couldn't find corresponding tab in BI content object types.

I understood that but the problem is I am not able to find some CRM standard web templates in my BI 7.0 WAD business content. For example there is one standard web template for "Lost Leads" (0TPLB_MKTG_C01_Q0005_V01) available under BW 3.5 WAD business content. But I am not able to find its BI 7.0 version. If I install BW 3.5 version I have to migrate this to BI 7.0 manually, while doing that I am getting some strange errors also.
Why I am not getting BI 7.0 version of that report? SAP has not yet published yet?

Problem while installing a query from Business Content

Hi all of you,
I am trying to install this particular query Inventory Turnover from the cube 0IC_C03 (Material/Stock Movements) from Business Content. Now in the third pane in Business Content under Active version available column across the name of this cube there is a calendar symbol.
a.     So does it mean that the cube 0IC_C03 (Material/Stock Movements) is installed along with all the objects that are dependent on the cube and all those objects on which the cube is dependent. (NOTE: I had selected the grouping option as In data flow afterwars)
b.     When I collapse Query Element I find that some of the queries are not installed. So I expanded Inventory Turnover query, right clicked on it and selected Install All Below.
c.     I am getting this error, Abort system error in program SAPLRRI2 and form LI_SETZEN-01- when I execute the query Inventory Turnover. However in Business Content when I installed the report Inventory Turnover under the cube Material Stock/Movement I didnt get any error anywhere. Everything was activated successfully without any errors.
Please tell me how do I install this Inventory Turnover from business content and how do I execute this report from BEx.

Thank you for that quick reply. I want to activate only the query and not the cube. I did as you advise me but still I am getting the same error when I run the Inventory turnover report from BEx.
I am able to run other reports from the cube IC_C03. But not this report Inventory turnover. I have also checked the cube and there is data in the cube.

Query modification problem after Business Content upgrade

Hi,
We have upgraded two systems from Business Content 3.1 to BC3.3. After the upgrade we have a problem when opening queries for modification: a dialogue window is opened and system says:
"AUTOMATIC CORRECTION
The following objects were not found when accessing server
Press 'Repair' to correct the problem (incorrect parts of the query are automatically deleted)
Press 'Cancel' to undo the last action
Missing objects:
- InfoObjects
| |- InfoObject 0HIER_VERS
- Affected Items
 |- Hierarchy version"
Strange thing is that the problem cannot be reproduced on consultants' laptops, only on clients' PC-s, so we believe there must be something about Windows/Excel security that produces the error message.
Have you ever experienced this (kind of) problem before? Do you have any idea what I should check?
I checked
 - Macro security settings in MS Excel,
 - logged on to the PC's as Administrator
 - logged on to BW with clients'/consultants' user ID's on clients'/consultants' PC's, problem appeared only on client PC-s
 - SAP GUI version (it is the same)
 - MS Excel, MS Windows version (the same)
I have also checked InfoObject 0HIER_VERS, it really does not exist in the system. But it does not exist in our Production system either, while the query is completely the same in both systems.
0HIER_VERS is a "technical attribute" (as I read in an SAP documentation - however, I don't really understand this term), it is attached to 0CS_GROUP (Consolidation group).

Problem when activating Query from Business Content

Hi Gurus,
I'm currently encountering problems when activating a query (Financial Statement and P&L: Actual/Actual Comparison) in the business content under these 2 cubes (0FIGL_VC1 and 0FIGL_VC2). Since I was told that these cubes are Virtual Cubes I also have already activated Basis Cubes (0FIGL_C01 and 0FIGL_C02) as a prerequisite of the 2 Virtual Cubes. I have also loaded the data for the 2 cubes and have encountered no problem at all.
But while activating the said Query (Financial Statement and P&L: Actual/Actual Comparison). I have encountered a problem during activation and only this error message appears 1. Error when activating element DO9NE34DKNREWIBWNVAW8BS7M (Technical Name of the Query) and 2. BEx transport request '' is not available or not suitable.
What other possible steps am I missing here?Is there anything else I should do or activate before activating the Query. Thank you again for all the help.

Hi Kristian,
Do the following ->
Goto transaction RSA1 -> Transport Connection -> Edit -> Transport -> Switch On Standard.
After this try activating your Query again.

Error in Query Activation from Business Content

Hi Gurus,
I'm having problems when I'm activating Query 0FIGL_VC1_Q0001 (Financial Statement and P&L: Actual/Actual Comparison) under Virtual Cube (0FIGL_VC1). Everytime I activate it, it displays these errors 1. Error when activating element 2GXNYXWAV1FOYLM46UJ2U2Q2D , 2. Error when activating element 2LOL3P78C15MAEBIFHL8MNR7R, etc.
Then when I look at the query elements, I noticed that not all elements (Structure, Formulas, etc) are activated and it displays this message "Is existentially required by : 0FIGL_VC1_Q0001 [ELEM]". Although when I search for the elements in the Business Content to activate them it seems that these elements do not exists. Please advice. Thank You.

Hi
Check if the Query : 0FIGL_VC1_Q0001 has all the Query Elemenst(Restricted Keyfigures, Calculated Keyfigures etc) have D version to install.
You can also check in the Source System if all the Query Elements corresponding to the Query are transported in D-version.
If something is missing do transport it agian.

Error during Business Content Installation of a query

Hi,
I was trying to install the Standard query(0IC_C03_Q0019) only its query elements and not infocube from Business content and after install(Simulation mode) it went into an error showing Bex transport request is not available or suitable and Error when activating element. We already have a request created by the basis team and we couldn't find the request while installing. Is the request creation for a BEx transport is different from the normal request creation??
Any help on the above problem would be appreciated.

Yes, Handling of changes to already transported Queries is different to other things of BW.
