Business email account: how do I set up iPhone4 to sync live?

I have a long-time Business email account: [email protected]
How do I set up iPhone4 to sync with this fully, live? I want mail I send from the iPhone to appear also in my Mac (Apple Mail).
Someone said something about doing this with Google and IMAP? But I only see info there about [email protected] accounts.
thanks

Ahh, Thanks but... there are about 8-10 products on that page. I followed that link earlier but it was not clear how to set up IMAP to keep my current ID & account as "the" contact points and IDs, and not gMail or accounts there.
All my previous email accts were set up by others; baby steps please.
