Business Event Does Not Appear in ESS Portal
Hi People,
I would like to ask for assistance on this problem:
A user created a business event in the SAP system. But she canu2019t make a booking in this course through the ESS portal because the course canu2019t be found upon searching it. She always got this error message: u201Crestrictions, or use a different search termu201D. We already provided her a number of workaround solutions like using different search terms, changing the field period to all, etc. but still she canu2019t see this course in the portal to make a booking.
Can you help me on this?
Thanks in advance!

Progress indicator icon does not appear in Sap Portal
Hi experts.
Currently, i Have developed a WD ABAP which contains a progress indicator icon. When I execute this WD from backend (R/3 via SE80) the Icon progress appears while the WD is recovering data, building structure, etc...
The problem appears when I access to the scenary from SAP Portal, because from SAP Portal does not appear the Progress Icon. Someone can tell me why the icon is not appearing, and how Can i solve it???
Thank in advance.
Best regardsHi Thomas.
First of all, thanks for your answer.
My problem is that I can obtain a progress indicator icon (a circle moving) when I am inside of my Ivew, but I need to show this icon also in the first step, during the initialization. The initialization of my scenary is a hard process which spent a lot of time, and I wonder if is possible show a Process indicator Icon while all data are being recovery. This icon is showed when I run my webdynpro in the Backend, but this icon does not appears qhen the new Internet Explorer Windows is opened.
Do you know how to show it???
Thanks again. -

Subscription to business event does not fire
I am working in the R12 PIM product . I setup a subscription rule function for the event oracle.apps.ego.item.postItemCreate
. I just added one line in my function to insert a value in a dummy table.
But nothing gets inserted.
Is there any table/view to check if the event was raised. Has anyone worked on PIM/PLM events. I enabled the event and created a subscription as per the PIM guide but the subscription is not raised.
Any suggestions please ?
thank you
satyaSatya
I just checked the 12.0.4 instance, This event is disabled. Did you enable it before adding subscription?
If, yes, have you used phase above 100 which defers the event, if not it is synchronous and the table should be populated.
If deferred, check the table wf_deferred.
select count(*),state
from wf_deferred
where corrid='APPS:oracle.apps.ego.item.postItemCreate'
group by state;
This SQL should return rows if the subscription is deferred one and state should be 2 if already processed oterwise 0.
You can also test it by raising the event manually using test see whether the row comes into this.
Thanks

Business Components does not appear under samplelib.server
Hi,
I am using JDeveloper 9.0.3.5 Build 1437. In the toolbox.jws, I want to see the properties of the VO, VL in oracle.apps.fnd.framework.toolbox.samplelib.server.
If I switch to category view, I am able to see the source files under the package, in the SOURCES section. But under the Business Components section, I am unable to view the business components for the package.
Any idea how to make them visible ?
Thanks,
AmitHi,
Network discovery requires that the DNS Client, Function Discovery Resource Publication, SSDP Discovery, and UPnP Device Host services are started, you may check this on both sides to make sure they are started.

Event created on iPhone does not appear in iCal
When I create an event on my phone and sync, it does not appear in iCal. Events created on my laptop sync without issue. Contacts sync both ways, but calendar events do not go from the phone to the computer. I am not using MobileMe to sync, simply using the USB cable.
I have tried the following to resolve my issues:
* Make sure iTunes and iPhone are up to date
* Make sure all calendars are set to sync with iTunes
* Try different USB ports on the laptop
* Restart phone and computer
* Reset sync history in iSync and re-sync
* Follow directions in this support article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627 to do a full reset of sync history and re-sync
Yet after trying all of those solutions, I still cannot sync events created on my phone to my laptop. Does anyone out there know of anything else I can try that might work?
Thank you,
CameronAfter a trip to the genius bar, I found how to solve this problem, at least for me:
0) Plug in iPhone
1) Start iCal
2) Export all calendars (File -> Export)
3) Quit iCal
4) Delete all calendars from ~/Library/Calendars
5) Start iCal
6) Import all exported calendars
7) Start iTunes, configure syncing to overwrite calendars on phone
8) Sync iPhone -
Common Services portal does not appear on the LMS 3.0 homepage
Hi,
I am encountering a problem on Ciscoworks LMS 3.0 wherein the Common Services portal does not appear on the homepage. This was after I tried to upgrade CW to LMS 3.2 but does not seem to work so I revert back to LMS 3.0. I even did a restore of the backup database but still no Common Services on the homepage.
How do i resolve this?
Appreaciate your help. Thanks in advance!If you're not seeing the Common Services application portlet on the Functional Portal View, then you need to open a TAC service request to get the steps to manually re-register all of the installed applications from the command line.

Sometimes ESS menu does not appear
Hi,
Sometimes when the user logs into the ESS the ESS menu does not appear
. This happens only sometimes and when we restart the ITS and ask the
user to log in again the menu appears.
I looked at the access log of the ITS and found the following entry there : access with invalid random key.
Any suggestions will be very helpful.
Below are the technical details :
ESS is being launched through the ESS menu 'PZM3'.
ITS 620 patch level 16, HR 470 patch level 45, Basis patch level 54.
Hi, I know that it is a weird problem but any brain storming suggestion would be helpful.
Message was edited by: kapil sharmaHi Kapil,
- check access log of ITS if the request was received
- check if other flowlogic services like i.e. systeminfo work
- check with a HTTP sniffer what was send to the server/client
- check the output of view source in browser
- make sure that no network device (proxy,loadbalancer...) leads to the random failure
- check trace files of ITS
Just some ideas.

Events "full day" does not appear in Notification Center
hello,
Events " full day " does not appear in Notification Center on my iPhone 6 If I add an event at a specific time today , this event is displayed. Otherwise , the part calendar ( on today's page ) show " no events " even if there is one or more events " full day " .
iOS bug or wrong setting on my part ?With the previous version of Lync if you loaded Lync, powered off, back on, loaded Lync it would appear in notification centre. But this doesn't seem to work now.
However, as I mention other colleagues with the same phone, IOS version etc do work. -
Simple WD4A Portal Eventing does not work
Hello togehter,
I'm trying to get a simple Portal Eventing to work with two WebDynpro ABAP components. I read several threads as well as a blog from Thomas Jung about this but still have no eventing. What am I doing wrong? I think that it might be only a little obstacle but I can't get it. So what I didi is:
1.) Created 1st WD4A application with a button and an action behind that button:
DATA: l_api_component TYPE REF TO if_wd_component,
l_portal_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_portal_integration.
l_api_component = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
l_portal_manager = l_api_component->get_portal_manager( ).
l_portal_manager->fire(
portal_event_namespace = 'urn:my.namespace'
portal_event_name = 'test_event'
portal_event_parameter = 'testValue' ).
2.) Created 2nd WD4A application with the following code in the WDDOinit-Method:
DATA: l_api_component TYPE REF TO if_wd_component,
l_portal_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_portal_integration,
view TYPE REF TO if_wd_view_controller.
l_api_component = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
l_portal_manager = l_api_component->get_portal_manager( ).
view ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
l_portal_manager->subscribe_event(
portal_event_namespace = 'urn:my.namespace'
portal_event_name = 'test_event'
view = view
ACTION = 'CATCH_EVENT' ).
and an action.
method ONACTIONCATCH_EVENT .
data: EVT_NAME type STRING,
evt_parameter type string.
EVT_NAME = WDEVENT->GET_STRING( NAME = 'PORTAL_EVENT_NAME' ).
if EVT_NAME = 'test_event'.
evt_parameter = WDEVENT->GET_STRING( NAME = 'PORTAL_EVENT_PARAMETER' ).
DATA:
ls_text TYPE if_main=>element_main,
node_main TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
elem_main TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
node_main = wd_context->get_child_node( name = `MAIN` ).
evt_parameter = 'IT WORKED'.
else.
evt_parameter = 'did not work'.
endif.
ls_text-text_receiver = evt_parameter.
node_main->bind_element( ls_text ).
endmethod.
3.) FInally I created two iViews (for each WD4A application) and a page, linked the iViews in the page and made a preview. Unfortunately nothing happend in the second iVIew with the 2nd WD4A application in it.
Any help?
Thanx in advance
MatthiasHello,
thanks for your answers. But the problem is not yet solved, the link gives nothing new for me.
To amend my first post:
After having created and activated my both small WD4A applications, I created 2 similar iViews (iViews for WebDynpro -> and chose WD ABAP) in my portal. Both iViews have the same namespace (which is SAP - is this ok?) and no application parameter.
Then I created both a Standard SAP page and a WebDynpro proxy page and added the 2 iViews as deltalink. The page and the iViews have the same prefix (but this is not important, isn't it?).
--> In both pages the portal eventing does not work
The ABAP server and the Portal server are the same machine and I call the portal with the full qualified domain name:
http://<servername>.<domain>:50000/irj/portal
When I test my WD4A applications in se80 I get the path http://<servername>.<domain>:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/z_event_receiver?sap-language=EN
so this is the same domain.
I even have an entry in my hosts-file for
<myInternalIp> <servername>.<domain>
- Do I have to specify the domain explicitly in addition when integration the WD4A applications in the portal?
- Is there a correlation between the Portal Event namespace, the namespace of my iViews and page and the domain name of my server?
- Does the portal event namespave to have the prefix urn: or not?
Thanks again in advance -
(TEM) Appraisal Form not showing in ESS portal
Hallo Experts,
In the ESS portal during appraisal of a certain BE, the Appraisal form does not appear. The Name of the Appraisal model appear on the portal but NOT the form itself where the user input data. (the criteria groups and criterions.)
The Appraisal form is incomplete.
The BET for the BE has correct event appraisal model as shown in its Relationship infotype.
Is this a problem with the SAP or the portal itself?
I'm not sure if the appraisal functionality uses batch job to copy data into the portal. Is there a way to tell? Or is there a SAP standard program used in batch jobs that transfers data from appraisal into the portal?
Please help.
Thanks,
OlekanWhat is the application that you are using to access appraisal in the portal please.
