Hi Srinivasan Vinayagam,,
Analyzer , WAD and Report designer are some topics or concepts that we were using in traditional BW.
But when it comes to BW on HANA, I am afraid on what intensity we would be using these concepts,
reason being extensive changes within Technology.

Create a currency coversion type for the exchange rate
Go to RRC1, enter a name for your new currency conversion type
on the exchange rate tab mark the radio button Exchange Rate Type.
enter the exchange rate type there
enter the target curr in the tar curr tab as USD
similarly in the query also enter the curr conversion key.

Business Explorer-Query Designer

Hi,
I am running a Query in internet explorer from Query Designer...When i drag and drop infoobjects certain infoobjs description i need to change as per requirements...and when i run the query from query designer it opens in a internet explorer only but i get some warning messages saying that "description for so and so infoobject is changed" but no doubt i get the report correctly... Please tell me how to suppress the warning messeges...
i tried rsrt transaction to suppress results as one option is there to suppress results but when i run that transaction its throwing dump...
please tell me anyother way to resolve this...

Hi Vijaya,
Do you get those messages each time your run the query? In RSRT you have the option to suppress message, not results...is this what you were referring to?

Business Explorer - Program critical error

This is a typical front end issue where you have to look at your GUI patch and front end patch levels.
Please refer to following SAP Notes for GUI patch and front end patch:

SAP Business Explorer 7.0 availability

Hello Expert,
We've migrated BW 3.5 query in BW 7.3 SAP System. Dataflow migration was successful but Query Designer 7.3 product version not compatible with BW 3.5 Query. Have found from SAP SCN thread that firstly we need to install BEX tool 7.0 & Validate/run all queries in 7.0.After that all these works fine in BEX 7.3.
While checking BW 3.5 query in BI Business explorer query designer 7.10 getting the following error message.
Please check the attached file ABAP dump -ST22 for the more details.
Status Messages:
Terminate:Unexpected Error:RFC_Error_SYSTEM_FAILURE-Exception Condition "X_MEssage" raised.
Terminate: Query Designer must be restarted:further work not possible
We've tried to install SAPGui version 710,720,730 but unable to find the BI Business Explorer 7.0 version in these SAPGui version & getting the same error message from All these BEx versions(710,720,730)
Can anyone guide us in which SAPGui version we'll find the BI Business explorer query designer 7.0 version

Business Explorer Roles and Authorizations

Hi,
I am using Business Explorer Query Designer and Analyzer ( Excel Work book add on) with BI 7.0.
I need to create roles and authorizations for the end users to create queries and view queries in excel by using Business Explorer Query Analyzer.
Kindly suggest me what are the standard transactions, roles and authorizations to be given to the end users.

I dont have idea about Bi 7.0 ..
If its bw 3.X i jusz used rrmx --->>excel ->addins-->>queries --->pop up window --->here we need rfs object S_RFC
Finally rrmx tcode and general roles which has S_RFC autorisation object and the query .

BI: Business Explorer language setting

Hi all,
We have installed new front end for BI 7.0. But when i running from business explorer, query "open" icon text is showing in different language (new york).
Also, when i click on open, it is not showing any query dialog box.
Please give me inputs as we are on upgradation project from 3.5 to 7.0.

Hello Amit,
Do you mean the folder icon to open queries?
This seems to be a know bug and there are two notes to resolve it, kindly take a look and follow it's recommendations.

Business Explorer (BEX) Query open Error

Hi
When opening BEX(Business Explorer) Queries from Excel , it asks for System to choose.
But business doesn't want to see this option. It should go directly to open query selection for the system it has logged in.
Say , it has logged in BIQ , it should go to open the queries selction for BIQ without asking to login to BIQ as user has already logged in BIQ.
In some other users desktop , when they open Queries from Excel it directly goes to open query selection without prompting for System selection
We are using SAP GUI 7.20 patch 4 , BEX 3.5 patch 3.
We also have BEX 7.20 but we will not use it
We tried to with applying all latest patches but we still get the same error.
We perfomred a Excel test provided by SAP , that shows gree.
Business wants to use SAP GUI 7.20 patch 4 and BEX 3.5 patch 3.
Can any one help on this ?
Note: please don't recommed to apply latest patch to GUI or BEX or apply patch to System component. . Thats not the solution as the current version works in some other desktops.
Please let me know if you want to understand more in this scenario.

Dear Das,
In that case you need to call the RRMX transaction from your BW system and if SSO works , then it leads you directly
to the Open save dialog.
For SSO , I would suggest you to please implement the below note:
Note 1498947 : RRMX: Logon mechanism for 720 GUI.

Business Explorer Error after installation of SAP GUI 7.10

Hi Experts
we have installed SAP GUI 7.10 successfully and there seems to be an error on Business Explorer.. while processing some of the queries in designer it gives out an error message " critical program error occured.The program has to close.Please refer to the trace for further information" this caused the entire application to close.
Trace : Error(08.11.07 15:19:10.965): mode completion failed, rc=-1 (error=6 UI ThreadHdl=1436)

Business Explorer install error

Hello all,
I am currently trying to update our existing Business Explorer 3.5 (patch level 11) to the latest patch version 13 with the sapadmin tool. The installation works fine but when we try to open a query in business explorer excel addin I get the following error:
<install error> Missing ActiveX component: Business Explorer Open Dialog.
The version information states that Bex is at patch level 13.
If I then manually install the patch (no objections that i'm already at patch level 13 here), everything works fine. Any thoughts on this?

Good news, i found out what the problem was. One of the dll's needed was not registered:
wdbfodlg.dll
I now manually registered this dll in the install script, but it remains strange that it was not included in the normal installation via SMS.

Business Explorer 7.0 Installation error.

Hi friends,
we have installed Business explorer 7.0 but when we execute the query designer the system gives a error as
"".NET framework Initialization error"" ""unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application"". even when we execute WAD it gives the same error. I tried reinstalling .NET framework for the suitable version but did not helped.
Please help me in finding a solution to this error.

III    Restart

Internet Explorer Error after Business Explorer Installation

I just want to know why the Internet Explorer seems to be corrupted (always blank page whichever page you will browse) after Business Explorer installation?

Error While Installing the Business Content Query

Dear Friends,
We are in BI 7.0 and trying to install a business content query "Balance Sheets Profit and Loss Statement" but while activating we are getting the error that some Particular Request has not been found or not suitable. we checked for that request in SE09 and found that there is no such request existing in the system. So what could be the cause of the Error and what to do for successfully Installing the Query.

"404 error" for business explorer

Hi Expert,
I installed SAP Business Objects Enterprise 4.0 SP2 for development, test and productive environment and they work fine. Development and Test BOE are installed in a single host instead the productive environment is installed in more hosts, in particular this is the configuration for the productive BOE environment:
host 1: WAS (Tomcat 6)
host 2: WAS (Tomcat 6)
host 3: CMS server 1
host 4: CMS server 2
host 5: CMS DB
After that I installed BOE, I also installed SAP Business Explorer 4.0 in the development, test and productive environment (I installed BE in host 3 and host 4). SAP Business Explorer work fine in development and test system instead is not working in the productive environment. In particular if i go to BI lunch pad (productive environment) and I selected the Business Explorer icon the following error message appear:
404 Missing Page
The page you requested is not available on this web server for one of the
following reasons:
I checked on Central Management console the status of the Business Explorer servers and they are in status "running".
I noted that in the development and test system the file explorer.war has been created from the BE installation program in the following folder :
"D:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjectsEnterprise XI 4.0\wdeploy\workdir\tomcat6\application"
instead in the productive environment the file explorer.war doesn't exist. How can I resolve this critical issue? Must I install some component also in the WAS hosts?

Looks like you need to do a web tier install on your tomcat server or you could copy the war file over. How did you deploy your war files when you did your initial install of BOE? Do you see an explorer folder in your tomcat6\webapps directory?
