Business Objects Live Office

I have created the crystal reports using Xml/xsd and saved on BO server ,I am trying to connect with Live Office ,I got the following error.
"An error Occured while opening the report.te report deos not exists,or you cannot make a connection to the Bussiness Objects webservices.(L0 02010)".
can any one help on this ASAP.

SWF exported to SAP Business objects Platform doesn't refresh

Hi Expert,
                   I have exported the XLF file to Sap Business Objects Platform.
Can anyone please help me in suggesting , why it is not refreshing? I scheduled the reports and am trying to get the latest instance of the webi reports.
I am using live office connection. So I was suggested to use this way of exporting for automatic refreshing of data from the webi reports.
My Built:
Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP3 with hot fix 3.1,3.2,3.3

                  I have already installed Fix Pack 2.5 in live office client .
The situation is that I have a bar chart plotted where KPI values are there against the dates(on X-axis). So, suppose I
exported the SWF on 2nd Dec . I have the date starting from 1st Nov to till date on the X axis of bar chart.
   I scheduled the webi reports on 7th dec where i changed the start date in the query filter to 28 nov
and then observed the SWF in Infoview.
Results:
1. Dates on X -axis are changed . Starts from 28 Nov instead of 1 nov.
2. The data values are not coming for the dates after 2nd Dec.
It means I am not getting the values for the dates after I exported the SWF
Can you suggest me something.

Brand New Installation of Business Objects XIr2 Application Server

Hello,
We have recently acquired Business Objects XI r2 as we are in the process of migrating from Business Objects 6.5.1
We currently use BO 6.5.1 on a small scale using Business Query via excel to access a remote Data Warehouse. I beleive we will now use Live Office in the new XI world.
We have acquired licenses for the following components, and I really would like some assistance on how to install them and in which order
Business Objects Enterprise Professional
Business Objects Live Office
Business Objects Web Intelligence
I have a windows 2003 server in place to host the application, but where do I start ? Which component do I need to install first ?

Hmm, this is Redhat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.4 - it's basically a 'snapshot' of our existing dev system.
One thing I have seen elsewhere is a problem with the libstdc++ compatability library, but it looks like that's installed (we tried tossing in a copy we had from CentOS, and got:

Live Office SP3.4/Office 2010 - Live Office objects disappear on conversion

I am testing Live Office XI 3.1 FP3.4 on a Windows 7 laptop with Office 2010 installed and have a question.
I take an Excel 2003 file (XLS) file that has Live Office connections and open it in Office 2010. Then I save as an XLSX file. While saving I get a message that states:
"The name, [1]_1_CRADDIN_DataGrid, either conflicts with a valid range reference of is invalid for Excel. The name has been replaced with 11__1_CRADDIN_DataGrid. You may still need to manually update any references to this name used in VBA code or as text arguements in functions. You must close and reopen the workbook before these changes take effect."
I complete the save then close and reopen the file. When I go check for my Live Office objects, they seem to have disappeared (meaning I right click on what used to be a Live Office object, but I no longer see Live Office on the popup menu).
Can't I convert my old data models to the new excel format? I am doing this because the XLF is taking a LONG time to open in Xcelsius 2008 SP4 with multiple server busy messages. I thought updating the Excel file might speed things up but since the Live Office objects are disappearing from my spreadsheet this is not working as expected.
If any pointers can be given that would be great. If I have missed any documenation that may help me out, please let me know. I checked the Live Office documentation and the highest thing for XI 3.1 I see is SP3, no FP3.4 (or even SP4).

How do I know if Office is 64 bit? If I go to the control panel, I see that "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010" is installed.
There are no named ranges in my sheet.

SAP Business Objects Analysis for Office 1.4 on Microfost Office 64-Bit Version

Has anyone installed SAP Business Objects Analysis for Office 1.4 SP6 on Microsoft Office (Excel) 64-Bit Version. I am getting message "The launcher was not able to connect Analysis Add-In. Make sure that Analysis Add-In is not disabled by Office Application".
When I activated the Analysis Add-In, I am getting below Error: "Excel experienced a serious problem with the 'analysis' add-in." and it is forcing to disable the add-in and asking to check for if any update is available. It was working fine on 32-bit Excel version.

Thanks for the response. It is working fine on 32-bit Office version (with OS 64-bit). I checked the compatibility (OSS 1466118 ) and it supports Microsoft 64-bit office version. Just wanted to see if anyone had successful installation.

Live Office Connection not showing Go to Object Option

Hi All,
i m using Xcelsius Enterprise 4.5. I have created a dashboard in which I m having a live office connection. I had added the live office connection from a Webi Report, Binded the Prompt and created a live office connection to the server. The report was working fine.
After a couple of days when I open the report again I find the Go to Object has been disabled in the report and the Modify Object shows only Properties option. The Refresh Object also does not work.
Could you tell me what has gone wrong and how to fix it.

I am still on Xcelsius 2008 but faced similar refresh disabled problems. May be this helps:
These days I maintain a Live Office Excel spreadsheet and import it into Xcelsius after any kind of changes.
You can maintain the data connections part within Xcelsius as required, but treat Live Office Excel report as a separate unit and set up all the refresh properties at report part level before you import it into and start developing the Xcelsius.
This way the refresh never gets affected and it works every time.

Business Object XI R2 and office 2007

Hi,
Does Business Object XI R2 SP3 (installed on unix server) is compatible with Office 2007 ?
I have checked the supported paltform documents and office 2007 is mentioned for Windows only and not mentioned in Linux/Solaries document.
I am trying to export data from a webi report to excel and when I export it in office 2007 it gives a warning "some data may have been deleted " and it export with some format missing. But wnem we export it in office 2003 its working fine

XCelsius Live Office objects and save loss

Hi all,
I'm observing an abnormal behavior using Live Office 3.1 fp 1.8 inside Xcelsius 2008 SP3.
Iu2019ve built Live Office queries based on OLAP universe inside Xcelsius;
all is ok but when I close and reopen Xcelsius the queries lost some
object or some filter. In addition if I try to delete a query it
disappears, but if I save, close and reopen the Xcelsius file it
appears. It seems as if Iu2019m not able to delete Live Office objects, nor
to make changes to query and so on. I've seen that this is a frequently
discussed problem on various forum, but i never found solutions.
Moreover i've observed the same behavior if i introduce through live office webi reports inside the dashboard: initially it seems ok, but after closing and re opening the XCelsius file, one or more reports disappear!!!
Have you any workaround to solve this anomaly?

As i said the following steps guide you to unlock the worbook.
Try this out
>>Office 2007 (Ribbon menu in Xcelsius or Excel). Select Review > Protect Workbook > Protect Structure and Windows.
Office 2003 (menu only in Excel). Select Tools > Protection > Unprotect Workbook.
>> You will be prompted for a password.
>> This is the password (the O is an uppercase o):
fazOh1+u
>> Click OK and the spreadsheet should no longer be locked.
As far as i think still you are using SP1 or SP2.
Please upgrade your Xcelsius SP and FP.

Dashboards with Webi Live office Objects issues

Hi All,
I have created a dashboard (Dashboards 4.1 SP4) connecting to webi crosstab tables which in turn sources data from Bex queries (version of SAP BW 7.1 SP5) . Initially I published the crosstab data as BI web Services and consumed these as query as web service within the Dashboards. But datasets have variable columns and changes on data refresh everyday. Therefore, I decided to use Live office connections to automate the dashboard.
As number of posts suggested, firstly, I created Live office connections for the webi queries to pull the data into excel model spreadsheet. I have created 26 live office connections in total and everything works fine until this step. Re-opening the excel document refreshes the live office connections. When I import the same excel spreadsheet into the dashboard, the import operation is running forever and then Dashboards stops responding. I would have to close the Dashboard using task manager.
To test, I tried creating the live office objects within the dashboard spreadsheet and it creates the connections fine. I do not create the live office connections through Data -->Connections--> Live office connections. I go ahead and publish the dashboard onto the portal and it gets published successfully. If I re-open the dashboard, the connections I created would have disappeared.
Also,when I create the live office connections on the dashboards Data -->Connections tab and try to publish the dashboard, it publishes forever. The generating swf window was running until I came the next morning which means that it does not publish to the BO portal. I am not sure what else I could try to get this working.
I have created OLAP connections to the Bex cubes and created webi reports using these connections. I am not sure if OLAP connections would be a problem. To test it, I created relational Universe using UDT tool and created a webi report on top of it to test and tried importing the excel with live office connection to dashboards, but it gets stuck forever.
Could anyone advise me on any of the missing steps or something else to try to get this working?

The excel takes less than a minute to refresh all the datasets when refreshed from outside dashboards. I also do not think this is a performance issue.
Today I tried importing the excel with live office connections on a different desktop with Dashboards 4.1 SP5 and it got imported instantly. The machine I was trying had Dashboards 4.0 SP6 base version and was updated with 4.1 SP4. I suspected the install might be corrupted and re-installed Dashboards 4.1 SP4 after uninstalling all the versions. The excel got imported instantly and I could see all the Live office connections and got refreshed on document open as well. I saved it to the BO platform without setting up Live Office connections through Data Manager and it got published successfully.
I closed the Dashboard and re-opened it later and setup the Live Office connections and tried publishing on the BO Portal, its running forever with Generating Swf window. Not sure what is going wrong. In the task manager, I do see two excel processes running which I think is one of dashboard and one of Live office.

Inserted object is missing (Live Office)

Hi. I'm now using LiveOffice XI3.1 SP3 + Xcelsius 2008 SP4.
I've inserted WebI object into cell "B2" and it works properly when I refresh the object. But after I save and re-open the file, I cannot see the object from "Go to object" menu.
The problem is I cannot insert new object to the old cell (B2) or delete that missing object, the error message as below
"Live Office has encountered a problem and cannot complete the requested action. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Unspecified error."

The problem is that you might not be adding LiveOffice connection to Xcelsius by Data Manager.
It is a mandatory step to preserve your LiveOffice connection into Xcelsius excel.
