There is a very detailed blog series on the topic of integrating SAP Business Objects and Enterprise portal.

  • How to show Crystal Reports in BW system to Business Object XI R3 Portal

    Hi All
I have some Crystal Reports in BW system and want to call them on Business Object XI R3 Portal.
Lets say that there are x number of reports in the system.
I need to show them on BO Portal by passing some parameters.
I am not able to start that how I can show them.
I followed one tutorial on Cystal Report for Eclipse and I was able to make a Crysral Report for Web Application. That was deployed successfully. I got one URL to run that.
But now if I want to add this link in my existing BO Portal how can I do that.
Can anyone help me in that, that how to proceed.
    Thanks & regards

We don't allow customizing our pages. Any patches installed will over write any changes you do. Create your own user interface.

  • What is the use Business objects over WAD.

    Hi Folks,
what is the use Business objects over WAD.
How sap bw is going to use Business Objects.
    Thanks,
    Cheta.

    hi,
A business object is a master record within the Measurement System, and is defined as part of the measurement class within Customizing.
Examples of business objects are wells, well completions, and measurement points.
Once the measurement object is maintained, it is saved with the business object so that when viewed, the measurement object is part of the business object.
    regards,
    Siddharth.

  • Publishing Business Objects Reports in Portal

    Hi All,
    1. In BO we have different reports like, web intelligence, crystal, deski reports. By default sap provided two iviews
            A) Business Objects Enterprise Integration Kit - IView Template
            B) Crystal Enterprise Report
By using Business Objects Enterprise Integration Kit - IView Template I am able to call all the reports (by using report id).but for this i need to create iviews manually.what is the best practise to publish BO reports in portal.
    Regards
    Sasikanth

    Hi Kundan,
If BOE is integrated with portal then the reports will be available in KM.You can use the KM Navigational iView or URL iview to the Specific location in KM,to show in portal.Kindly refer the link for further details.[BO Reports in portal|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/IntegrationofBOEXI3.1intotheSAPEnterprisePortal+7.x]

  • How to unlock the objects in Enterprise Portal

    Dear Experts,
I have not logged off properly from my Enterprise Portal.  But my object is locked when i am trying to login again for the Enterprise Portal.  Please help us in unlocking the objects in EP.
    Regards,
    Shankar

Go to Portal Calalog - Content Provided by SAP >> Admin Interface >> Admin iView Template >> Object Locking for Users (iview).
Open iView Object Locking for Users in edit mode and check if the switch is set to Yes for the Activate User Filter property. If not, switch to Yes. Save any changes you made.
Create a role and assign it the iView Object Locking for Users with a delta link.
Assign the role to your userid, and you will be allowed to unlock your own objects through this iview.

  • Updation problem while creating multiple objects from enterprise portal

    Hi All,
From enterprise portal i am calling an RFC 'BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN' to create objects .
While trying to create multiple objects simultaneously it gives error "sapuser is currently using, can't be created".
It seems like as i am creating multiple objects by calling RFC repeatedly , while the first one is not updated fully i am sending the second value to be processed.
Pl. tell me how to overcome this. Do I need to add any sleep time in EP or any other method is there in SAP to overcome this situation.
    thanks
    sandeep

    Dear Sandeep,
I have discussed this problem with EP team lead in my organisation, i have given your email id to him he will forward the solution on your id.
    If usefull reward points helpfull....

  • Business Buleprints for Enterprise portal

    hi
can any body please send me templets of busniess blue prints of EP project.
if possible please forward to [email protected]
    please send me ASAP.
    regards
    mmukesh

Instead of sending them to an individual email address, how about making an entry in the portal wiki? The idea of the forums is about sharing amongst the whole group, not getting items sent to just one person.
The same applies to other posts where we get every man and his dog asking for a specific document....
(I exclude the useless posts about interview questions. If someone seriously thinks that they're going to fool an interviewer  by asking the forum members for interview questions, then they're fooling themselves.)

  • Enterprise Portal Business Package for Dealer Poral

    Hello Gurus,
I am not much into Auto, but what I would like to understand here - is there any Business Package ( Portal Content ) released from SAP which I can deploy and access the VMS and WMS functions over Enterprise Portal.
If not, are there sets of services available in the backend IS-Auto, which needs to be activated and access over Portal as IAC templates or Transaction iViews.
This is relatively urgent query and appropriate answer will surely be reqarded.

  • Business Objects In Portal Content Studio

    Hi All,
I Installed a business package for CRM in EP 6.0 SP09 and I created aliases SAP_BW and SAP_CRM for the CRM and BW systems and assigned roles to users and was accessing them.
The Business Objects Folder in Portal content studio was empty even after the installation of BP, but Later when I checked that I found a Folder "SAP_BW"  under "Business Objects" Folder. I just want to know how did these objects come there and how
Could someone please clarify this to me.
    Thank you

    Hi Ignacio,
Should they be transported manually to the QA system or will they again be created automatically when I start accessing these BW iviews in QA system.
will it save me the loading time of a template if I transport this business objects folder to QA system by creating a transport package.
    Thank you
