Business Package related to Awards, incentives and certification

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is any business package available for various employee engagement functionalities, i.e Awards, Incentives, Recognitions, Certifications, Additional Benefits and Talent Mangement?
I need to implement the above in Portal preferrebly though business package(s).
Thansk and Regards.

Hi,
Probably you can try to check the below link for the available buisness packages.

You can try to use the ERP "ESS" business package for life and work events.
Hope this helps.

  • Portal Content - Business Packages for CRM 7.0 and IC Webclient

    Hi all
    <p>
We are looking at CRM 7.0 and SAP Netweaver Portal 7.0 integration.<br>
I've noticed that the Business Package (BP) for CRM 7.0 contains very limited business roles for:<br>
    Channel ManagerChannel Manager<br>
    Partner Manager<br>
    Channel Manager (Telecommunications)<br>
    Partner Manager (Telecommunications)<br>
    Customer<br>
    Digital Asset Management<br>
    Incentives and Commissions<br>
    only.
    <p>
In the past, there the BP for CRM 5.0 contains a lot more roles including customer service representatives and managers. Given that the standard business role export  (from CRM 7.0) and import (EP 7.0) does not work for IC Web client business roles, is there a standard way for functionality delivered in IC Webclient like Customer Service to be integrated into EP 7.0?
    <p>
Otherwise, if we were to configure each BSP page individually for IC Webclient, will there be functions that do not work? eg: alerts, manager realtime view of CSR activities, call tracking, telephony integration etc..
    <p>
    Thanks!

There are two approaches (that I'm aware of):
    - install external authentication (such as an LDAP which can be populated from the R/3 backends)
    - install an additional Java instance
I would go for both of them because
    - it will make things easier if you implement other functionality that is in the portal (non-ESS)
    - it will avoid patching one portal and to keep the SPs of both backend systems in sync with the portal

  • Possible to run 2 different Business Packages for ECC 5.0 and 6.0 ?

    Hi there,
anybody knows a solution, to support a Busienss Package for ECC5.0 and 6.0 on one NW7.0 Portal?
We build a concernportal as mainportal with different companies in one portal. These companies have their own SAP-Systems.
    It´s a complex systemlandscape:
Company ABC have a SAP HR System with ECC5.0 with one client 401.
Company XYZ have a SAP HR System with ECC6.0 with TWO clients 020 and 050.
These both companies wants to get the Business Package for ECC5.0 and ECC6.0
Our solution is to implement the Federated Portal Network, thats works very fine. (Okay, Sessionproblem with ECC5.0)
For company ABC we installed a Javastack on host to install the WebDynpros directly to targetsystem ECC5.0
For company XYZ we have a problem with FPN, because the two clients in the targetsystem.
We installed a Javastack with portal on this machine, import BP for ECC6.0, customize portal and ABAP and pick the roles vis FPN from mainportal. But only for ONE client (020).
Now we can´t connect these Jco´s to the other client, because the users, tehre are in client 050 are not in 020 for logon to the portal. The portal supports only one client as UME on a doublestack-installation.
On Mainportal we don´t install any business packages, because there are only for one Targetrelease.
SAP Help have a solution for mapping the Jco´s, but don´t help us:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/DE/af/84a34098022a54e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
    Does anyone have same problems?
Must we install a Javaonly-system, to connect the other Client for company XYZ (050) ?
    Best regards

  • ESS Business Package 50.4 iView Listing and Details

First let me start by saying that I really appreciate all of the great posts on this site. You guys are really amazing, and have helped me greatly.
I was wondering if there is someplace that I can see a listing of all the iViews in ESS complete with their overview/detailed description, system requirements, notes/support package corrections, etc. ???
I found exactly what I need for MSS in the SAP Knowledge Warehouse.
<a href="http://kwhelp.sap.com/SAPIKS/S14b582f4cc214ce98673f38ed7a2afc4/KW/IWB_STRUCT8FCCE93A4295AC61E10000000A114084/IWB_EXTHLP8ACCE93A4295AC61E10000000A114084/?LANGUAGE=EN&RELEASE=60F&IWB_INDUSTRY=&IWB_COUNTRY=&TMP_IWB_TASK=DISPLAY">http://kwhelp.sap.com/SAPIKS/S14b582f4cc214ce98673f38ed7a2afc4/KW/IWB_STRUCT8FCCE93A4295AC61E10000000A114084/IWB_EXTHLP8ACCE93A4295AC61E10000000A114084/?LANGUAGE=EN&RELEASE=60F&IWB_INDUSTRY=&IWB_COUNTRY=&TMP_IWB_TASK=DISPLAY</a> Scroll down on the left hand side under Technical Description -> iView Pools.
I just need to know if there is some place like this that lists the ESS iViews.  Would you please help?  Thank you.

    Adam,
Have you looked at the documentation that is linked to the ESS 50.4 Business Package in the portal content portfolio right here on SDN?

  • Business Packages Maintenance Planner 1.2 and Buyer 1.4 implementation

    Hi Team,
We would like to implement below Business Packages on our landscape.
Business Package for Maintenance Planner 1.2
    Business Package for Buyers 1.4
Could any one advice any technical documentation with steps to be followed to implement the entire BPs.
I'm not able to find any standard PDF to follow, that would be really helpful if any one could provide template document with the steps to be followed
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramesh

    Hi,
No need to worry. This is pretty straightforward. I have deployed many BPs using the following approach.
For each BP that is available, you also have corresponding config steps in help.sap.com.
For Business Package for Maintenance Planner 1.2 - http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/46/66a9bd5d9d5de5e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm
For Business Package for Buyer 1.4 -
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/EN/4b/8d453396515685e10000000a42189b/frameset.htm
You need to proceed as follows: (I am assuming you have already downloaded the package files)
    1. Deploy the BP files using JSPM.
    2. Follow the URLs for each BP above and you will find prerequisites and technical description and configuration information in these URLs (expand the page to get the frame on the left hand as well.) Follow the config steps, they would be pretty well descriptive.
Once done, you can assign the appropriate roles to the users who are going to use these functionalities. The roles are also documented in the same URLs.

  • Business Package for Communication with NW04 and Exchange 2003?

Hi, we are evaluating opportunities to realize a groupware integration in the SAP Portal EP60SP2. A upgrade to Netweaver is planned, so the possible solution should work with Netweaver too. Our Exchange version is 2003.
I'm thinking about the standard SAP Groupware-Integration in combination with the Business Package for Communication.
<b>Has anyone expirences with the Business Package for communication, Netweaver and Exchange 2003, yet?</b>
I know, it's not officially supported, but maybe it works.
With the OWA-iViews we've got problems to implement our Styleguide and to devide into different iViews. The informations shown in the iViews of the Business Package are adequate and we would save ActiveX.
<b>Is there another solution that works?</b>
<b>Are there other iViews from 3rd party developers, that show Outlook informations?</b> Has anyone realized something like this in a project yet?
I would be grateful for any ideas.
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,
Please note that the Business Package for Communication was only available for SAP EP 5.0. Newer releases of SAP EP contain the groupware (GW) functionalities and some GW iViews automatically as soon as KM is installed with the EP. The integration with MS Exchange 2003 should work. If you look for iViews such as Send EMail, Create Appointment, Show availability and Room Calendar, you can use the iViews shipped by SAP. If however you need the EMail inbox or the personal calendar and tasks, then the native OWA iViews are the way to go. For further details please refer to the SAP NetWeaver admin guide http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0c/30d624a0fae949902f7a4b2a8f98bd/frameset.htm.
    Hope that helps

  • I am an Entrepenuer as well as Business Manager related to Residential Developer and Construction, I am considering in buying a MacBook Pro 13" or an Ipad. I need advice on What should I get appropriate to my type of business?

Don't know What is best for my type of business?

The advice I give is one writes documents on a Mac while one reads documents and writes short notes on an iPad.  The iPad is great for surfing the net and is more portable but will not do heavier tasks as well as a Mac such as creating and editing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.  The data you create is more secure on a Mac; it has better storage and backup features.  So for a read-mostly device the iPad work great but if you get into creating and editing documents then the iPad can fall short.
For a portable Mac consider a 3 lb. 13” MacBook Air or a 3.5 lb 13” Retina MacBook Pro.  For your applications they have similar capabilities and similar portability.  The non-Retina MacBook Pro weighs a lot more (4.5 lbs).

  • ESS - Business package and training records

Which BP revision we need to import for Training Records for ESS implementation?
I am thinking Training recoreds are not available in Business Package ECC 6.0 is it true?
how can we take these applications from the old versions of Business Packages (4.6c-4.7) and what the technical requirements in doing the same
    we are using Configurations -
Backend system - SAP ERP 2005 (ECC 6.0)
    NetWeaver 2004s,EP 7
    BP for SAP ERP 2005

    Hello,
Yes Prior to moving your Webdynpro applications, you need to independently deploy the business packages in all your landscaping QA/PRD and then move the your webdynpro applications/pcd's/roles/worksets etc
you can deploy either from SDM or JSPM.
    Cheers

  • Business Package, Alias and different systems....

    Hello everybody,
I have got some questions concerning the mentioned topics.
I have a business package (Internal Sales Repr.) and it is already installed.
<b>1.</b> On each iView in the business package there is set an ID for a SAP System, for example a BW. Is this the SID or is it the ALIAS I defined for a system to access the BW?
<b>2.</b> There is a machine with enterprise portal, R/3 and BW running under the same SID. They all have different clients. (thank god it is a test system and not productive)
Do I need to create different systems in the portal to access to BW and R/3 because of the different clients?
Is it generally possible to implement SSO form the portal to the Backend, if they have the same SID?
<b>3.</b> The ID from 1. is not set as a deltalink. Is it defined by default or it is set when I install the business package?
Wow, a lot of stuff. But I hope you can help me
    thanks
    christian

    Hi Christian,
Two different system has to be created in portal. In the system object you have to set the connector properties, user admin, user mapping and the WAS for BW and ITS for R/3 properties.
You have to create the system alias and the test the connection.
For import and export of the certificates. you have to use Strustsso2 transaction.

  • Business Package on Producer and Consumer in a FPN

    Hi Gurus,
I need to know if we need to install the Same Business packages on both the producer and consumer or is it enough to install the Business Package only on the producer....
    Regards!

Whats your scenario, typically one would go about installing business packages and other content on the producer or multiple producers and federate it with a consumer portal and provide access via the consumer.
For example if you have a box which hosts ESS content, another box which hosts BI content and you have a global portal which is the box which all the end users will be accessing, then you simly have to install BP for ESS on the ESS box, create BI content on the BI box and display all this content via the consumer (global portal).
    Hope this helps.
    Good Luck!!

  • Empty iViews in PLM Business Packages (Enter Asset, Enter Project etc)

    Hi All,
We are implementing SAP PLM Business Packages 50.3.1 in SAP EP 6.0 SP16 with a SAP 4.7 backend.
We have noticed that certain iViews do not seem to work correctly - they display no entry fields at all.  For instance, in the Assets Business Package, the Asset Details Page contains a Choose Asset iView in which you can choose either Functional Location or Equipment.  When choosing either of these, the Enter Asset iView should refresh and display the appropriate entry field.  ie. either 'Enter Functional Location' or 'Enter Equipment'.  Instead, it displays absolutely nothing (ie. the Enter Asset iView remains blank).  This problem also occurs for projects in the Projects business package.
Has anybody seen and resolved this behaviour for the PLM business packages?
Any useful thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated and rewarded.
    Regards
    John Moy

    Hi All,
Thanks for the responses.  Thanks to your input, I have solved the problem.  Basically, we are working on copied versions of the pages and iViews (ie. copied into our custom folder in PCD).  Our users do not have access to the original SAP iViews.
I noticed (after reading the documentation page 116 which you referenced), that for our copy of the component loader, the parameter Java_IView_Directory was still pointing to the standard SAP location, which our users have no access to.  This explains why the iViews are blank.  When I amend this parameter to point to our custom location, everything works!
Thanks again for your input.  Points awarded.

ESS/MSS depends on your ECC patch also.  You need to download versions compatible to ECC and Portal versions.

  • How to install Business Package for CRM 4.0

    Hi,
I have downloaded the same business package but I don't know how to install it on EP6.0 SP16.
The business package is a .zip file and I don't think it would be accepted by the Portal Import or by SDM for deployment. Correct me if I am wrong.
Can you please list down the steps to install it on Portal ?
Any help on this would be appreciated. And points would surely be awarded.
    Regards

    Hi dude,
    Thanks for a prompt reply.
The business package is a .zip file and it contains the following files and folders:
    1) Two folders namely global and roles
    2) .ivu, .pag, .par, .pkg, .tpl are the file extensions inside the zip
I don't think it would be accepted by the Portal Import or by SDM for deployment. Portal Import needs .pkg for EP5.0 and .epa for EP6.0. SDM needs .sda or .sca files for deployment.
Do you remember how did you deploy it or import it ? By the way, did you import it or deploy it ? Looking at the par files here, I am sure it has to be deployed. But I have never come across this .ivu, .pag and .pkg files for deployment. Secondly, I have never come across .par file in Portal Imports.
    Any clue ?
Let me check if SDM accepts this .zip file.
    Regards,
    Deepti
