Business Packages of ESS & MSS not working

Hi
I downloaded some business packages, and i imported into Portal.
But the iviews are not connecting to the Backend system, it is showing servies are available.
What are the configurations should be done after importing into EP.
Please help me i am new to HR Related Business Packages.

Business Packages for ESS/MSS, HR Renewal and HR Administrator

Hi Experts,
Iam a basis consultant and had ew queries on the Business packages to be installed on our NW Portal system.
Currently we are on
Backend system          :           EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0
SAP Portal                    :           SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SR1
SAP_HR              600       0064
EA-HR                600       0064
For ESS MSS (both Generic & WDA),
1) Do we need to deploy EA-HR_MSS add-on on our backend ECC ? If yes, what would be the version ?
2) Based on the system we have, What are all Portal business packages (list) should we deploy into Portal? and sequence to follow?
we have different verions of (BP ERP05 ESS, BP ERP05 COMMON PARTS & BP ERP05 MSS ), which version has to be deployed ?
do I need mss add-on Portal business pack also??
3) Need to deploy HR Renewal and HR Administrator Business packages as well, so could you please advice what version needs to be installed ? Unable to find HR Renewal as a Business Package in the market place.
4) Any post-installation activity after importing the business packgages in portal ?

Also we need to patch our stack to the latest SP. Latest SP available in market is SP11 as we prefer n-1 we planned to go for SP10, but in MOPZ while selecting the target it gives option only for SP11 in the drop down. Any reason for it ?
As you could see our SAP-HR, EA-HR LSOFE are still in 600 release. If we select the target package in MOPZ to the latest will it upgrade the SAP_HR 600, EA-HR 600& LSOFE 600 components to SAP-HR 604, EA-HR 606, LSOFE 606 ?
If I had to install HR-Renewal 1.0 I would need EA-HR 607 and LSOFE 607, so can that be included in the same stack ?

ESS Business Package Error: Period type not allowed for profile ESS

Hi,
We are trying to configure the business package for Employee Self Service on Enterprise Portal 6.0. We followed this SDN contribution <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/21eb036a-0a01-0010-25a3-b2224432640a">ESS doc guide</a>
So far we have successfully deployed the business packages and followed all the configurations that were pointed out in the doc guide. Unfortunately when we try to access the Employee Self-Service portal pages (Overview, Employee Search, etc), we encounter this error:
Critical Error:
Period type not allowed for profile ESS, error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE

Cannot download the business package for ESS or MSS

Hi All,
I'm trying to download the 'Business Package for Employee Self-Service
(mySAP ERP) via
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/contentportfolio. When I
click the 'Download' link, I get taken to the URL
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/docs/mappingtexts/sapnotesusermapping.htm
where I get an IE message "The page cannot be found".
Any idea why?
How can I download this business package ?
I also get the same problem when I try to download any other version of
ESS or any version of MSS.
Please respond ASAP as I am trying to prepare a demonstration for the business on Monday (tomorrow).

Click on content for Business Suite 2005 --> Select mySAP ERP 2005 - EndUser Service Delvery --> Select Employee Self Service --> Click on the link for BP for Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP)
It should promt you to download the package.

Talent profile in the MSS not working

Hello,
I have problems with the long talent profile in the Mangers Self Service. When i press the "talent profile" link in the portal nothing happens. The talentprofil does not open. I have created a talentprofile for an employee in the ESS. The profile is filled. All the customizing activieties have been completed. Also business partners are created.
Does anyone have an idea why the talentprofile in the MSS does not work. Maybe I have forgotten something!

Standard Leave iView of ESS does not work... What to do?

Hi Experts,
We are implementing ESS / MSS. Most of the iViews of ESS are working fine. However, iView of Leave Request is not working.
1) Is it possible that during the portal installation due to some error, some of the components needed for Leave Request has not got installed properly.
2) If yes, can we take the dump / par / WD file of other SAP EP system and import it in my portal.
3) If no, what is the remedy for the solution.
Please suggest. I am getting following message while running application in web dynpro content administration :

OSS ticket raised, but no solution for IMG u201CWork and Lifeu201D events.

Package with 2 procedures not working; Please help

When I try to run the procedures that are in this package manually, each one seperately works. But when I put together these procedures in a package, the second procedure does not work or not updating the table. Any idea why this is creating a problem??
PROCEDURE UPDATE_CS_ACTIVITY is the one in the below package that does not seems working .. but when i run the procedure manually it works fine.
Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated...

How do you know the procedure is not working?
You have created a package that has two sub-programs (procedures).
In order for the sub-programs to execute they must be called, individually.
You just don't put sub-programs in a package and call the package expecting it to execute all of the sub-programs.

User does not exist in this period / ESS does not work anymore ;-(

Hello experts,
starting any ess application on portal side (leave request), I get the follwoing error code:
com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.java.FPMRuntimeException: User TESTUSER does not exist in this period
Starting application personal data I get the message: "There are no services in the area."
I know, that this error has often been discussed in this forum. So I check the hints I found, but I could not solve my problem.
The HR user TESTUSER is assigned to the portal user TESTUSER in IT0105 and the user is not exceeded.
TESTUSER got SAP_ALL on HR side.
The error appears for all users, that worked propably a few days before.
Login on portal side and HR works. ESS overview is shown for TESTUSER. For a user that has not a login to HR system it does not appear. So the single singn on (SSO) between portal and HR system seems to work.
The ESS applications worked fine until two days ago. Portal guys said, they had not done any changes on portal side.
Where could the error occure on HR side? How can I recognize if any changes have been made on HR side?

TX HRUSER seems not working.
Using the function 'Set Up and Maintain ESS User (Overview)' in TX HRUSER with my test-PERNR it is shown under 'Employees with deleted users'.
Clicking on it I got the Information:
PERS.NO: 12345678 (i.e.) NAME: Test User FROM: 01.01.2011 TO: 31.12.9999 USER: Name: FROM: TO: User does not exist.
But in IT0105 the PERNR is assigned to user TESTUSER in that period.
When I try to assign PERNR to TESTUSER with TX HRUSER under 'Assign Employees to Existing Users' I read the follwing information:
USER: TESTUSER Name: FROM: 01.01.2011 TO: 31.12.9999 USER GROUP: IT PERS.NO.: NAME: FROM: TO: no employee assigned.
Trying to 'assign employees' I get the message 'Error occurred when creating relationship for user ESSUSER-B to employee'.
Please create the appropriate assignment manually in HR master data.
But I have assigned it manualy in IT 0105.
Concurrent employment (CCURE PAUIX) is not activated.

I purchase a Mithril package but it does not work

I paid to buy 'Star Warfare:Alien Invasion, 666 Mithril package' for $29.99 but it doen not working. Can I get refun? or what should I do now?

F2 and F3(brightness control) not working

I have a HP notebook laptop .model no=15-r074TU ,with window 8 as operating system. my problem is that F2andF3 key are not working.so which driver is suitable for my laptop.

HP only provides drivers for W8.1 and W7 64 bit.
Since you installed an unsupported operating system, see if the chipset and graphics drivers directly from Intel get the graphics to work so you can adjust the brightness and change the screen resolution.
Chipset: Install the second driver listed and reboot.
