Business Packet for Projects

It looks like the bw report iview (project costs)
com.sap.pct.plm.bwloadergen.Projects
cannot find any data.
According to the documentation, the source data is the cube 0PS_C04 and the query view 0PS_C04_Q005_V001, but all I got is an empty view witn no messages.
How can I figure out if it looks for data at the right location?
Anyone else with the same experience?

    i,
I wanted to know if there is a business package for Project systems which include transactions like CJ20N, CN33, CN41N, DP81,VA23, VA25. I checked in SDN Portal content portfolio and found there is a BP for Projects 5.3 and BP for Project self service. I checked out the content which is present but not sure whether it suits my requirements.

    Hi,
The syntax of the created SDA may be wrong
Check the main attributes defined in SAP_MANIFEST.MF are equal or not to their corresponding componentelement entry.
SAP_MANIFEST.MF file is located in META-INF subfolder in the .sda file.
The values of "keycounter" and "counter" should be the same. Also the values of "keyname" and "name" should be identical.

  • Error Loading Business Components for Project

    Good Afternoon,
I am running JDeveloper ver. 10.1.2
when I open JDeveloper I get the pop up:
Error Loading Business Components for Project
    U:\Jdev\mywork\CUSTLEVR\CUSTLEVR\CUSTLEVR.jpr

You could simply edit the .jpr file outside the Jdeveloper and remove <ownerMap /> element.
Additionaly, there are some <properties> in the bottom of the file, that need to be removed as well - try experimenting with them.

I'd like to integrate this functionality in my SAP Portal 6.0, and maybe any Business Package should be the best way...
    That's all, thanks a lot!!

    Hi,
You can download the business package for project portfolio management from sdn.sap.com at <b>SDN > Developer Areas > Portal > Portal Content Portfolio > Browse Content Portfolio > All Business Packages > Business Package for Project Portfolio Management and Design Collaboration.</b>

  • Business Package for Projects 50.3

    Hi.
We are about to use the above business package but get an error message in the external service iViews included in the cProjects workset.
Error message: SAPApplication Backward Compatibility Component
When we assign the System Administration role or Super Administration role to our test user everything works fine but this is not a suitable solution.
Has anyone experienced the same problem or do you know how to solve the problem?
    Portal version: 7.0
    cProjects version: 3.0
    Thanks in advance.
    BR
    Søren Bessermann

I have and it is ok.
I might add that the role is shown correctly in the navigation and the error message is shown in the iView.
Security Zones should be sufficient as well why I don't know from where the difference in permissions comes from.

  • Business Package for Colloboration Projects

    hi, experts
I would like to know about the deployment about PPDMC (Projects, Portfolio Management and Design Collaboration). I need to deploy the PPMDC to EP 7.0.
As follows the xRPM installation guide, I need to install the CPRXRPM_UI. Is it right?
Actually, I can not find the the installation guide of PPMDC for cProjects. I got the installation guide for xRPM.
If we do not need to follow the xRPM installation guide, can I upload the PPMDC without CPRXRPM_UI using JSPM?
Please, let me know how to figure it out.
    Thank you for your concern.

    Hi Santosh
You can view the entire list of Business Packages on SDN itself. Just browse to the Developer Areas -> Enterprise Portal -> Portal Content Portfolio. On the Quick Links area, click on List of Packages. You will then be able to see the list. Check if what you are looking for is available there.
    Hope that helped.

    BP ERP05 ESS 1.41
    BP ERP05 MSS 1.41
    BP ERP05 COMMON PARTS 1.41
    BP ERP05 BUYER 1.41
    BP ERP05 HR ADMINISTRATOR 1.11
    ....few others
    Queries below -

3 - Installation sequence to be followed is PCUI_GP followed by Common Parts?
4 - I am unable to locate any proper installation guide for BP.

  • Solution Directory - How to lock a business process for a implement project

We have Solution Directory assigned to a maintenance project and I understand the checkout/checkin process and how it locks the business process in the Solution.   What is the best practice when  you are starting a new IMPLEMENTATION project that will impact existing business processes that are in the Solution?  I know that I can copy from the solution to build the new project, but it doesnu2019t lock the BP from the solution.
I have a new Implementation project, that i want to checkout/pull existing business processes for the Solution Directory.
*How can these Business Processes be "locked" in Solution Directory as they are with a Maintenance project?*

    Kelly,
You would use the maintenance project to make daily modifications.
Consider the case of a O2C business scenario. You need to almost make daily configs etc, which get pushed through, such things will go into a maintenance project.
But if you plan to enhance O2C with a CRM front end or include a better planning solution or TPM or something, then you are looking at an implementation project.
Rule of thumb. Short Scale changes : Maintenance Project, Long term/major enhancements : Implementation Projects.
Also In this case to speak about the lock down. Well the Solution Directory kind of takes care of that for you.
I am assuming that you have a solution populated with business processes. So now if you want to enhance it with a new functionality, you would use an implementation project. So when you define the implementation project, and then navigate to Solar01, and try to add business scenarios , ensure that on the Structure tab you select the Solution as the source. This ensures you are copying content from your current, updated, productive solution. Once you do that, the implementation continues on its track, whilst daily support processes are managed with the check-in / check-out functionality of the Solution and the Maintenance Project.
You technically do not need to lock the business processes down, since the Compare and Adjust functionality of a solution will help you identify the deltas  between the Solution and the implementation project and you can always make those adjustments post go-live and thus just update the Solution at one shot. Also remember that with SolMan 7.1 the Compare and Adjust functions can be used with Template, Implementation and Solutions in any permutation-combination.
    Hope this helps.
Plz let me know if you need any additional information
    Cheers!!

  • Business packages for Mailing & Project Management

Hi everybody, here is my question/problem:
I'd like to integrate in my SAP Portal (6.0.15) two new functionalities. One for mailing and other one for project management.
For Mailing I've seen "Business Package for Communication", but i've red that it only works for Portal 5.0. Is this true? Does anybody know anothe B.P. for mailing in SAP Portal 6.0?
For Project Management I've seen in the SAP Software Distribution Service this one:

Does anybody know if this is a B.P. for Project Management?
