Business Pre-Order?  No shipping for you!

Guess what?  If you pre-ordered your iPhone 4 at 3AM last Thursday, you are not getting your phone until the end of this week.  Why?  Verizon decided to prioritize consumer orders over business orders, but did not tell anyone.  They really should have come clean and said the pre-order period is just for consumers.  But instead they just let us lose a night's sleep for nothing.
If you ordered your iPhone through a business account on My Verizon and have not received any shipping notice, please call business support to complain.

I'm just going to cancel my pre-order. It's apparent that pre-ordering from iTunes is just not worth it -- this is NOT the first bad experience I've had with it.

  • Reserved for Store Pickup, No pre-order and Ship to Store!

    I'm reading all these discussions and my head is exploding. I was up @ 4am yesterday banging away like you all.
    My criteria was this; I was eligible for upgrade @ $199 with the activation fee waived (sweet). I wanted to pick the phone up at my Apple store because I trust it more then brown.
    When I clicked the pre-order link, there was NO option to have it sent to the store, it could only be sent to my house. Let me repeat that, NO option to send anywhere but house. It even says it "Pre-order your iPhone 4 from the Apple Online Store and we’ll ship it free — directly to your door and ready to use."
    So I went to the reserve in store process. There was NO WAY TO PAY for it up front. Let me repeat that; NO WAY TO PAY for the reserved phone. So I received my confirmation email and said there is a phone waiting for me on the 24th!
    I called 2 Apple stores and chatted online with 3 Apple support people and they ALL, every single 1 of them, said the same exact thing. The only way to pickup in the store is to go through the reservation process. The store will have 2 lines, reserved and general. The reserved will be there all day for you to pick up.
    So, does anyone have some proof that you pre-ordered it, paid for it and have it sent to your Apple store, not your home to pick up?

I've read other posts from people that saw the same thing on line that I did when they ordered, "see you at the store" but no other confirmation. I'm going to assume that it means the order did not go through. So keep that in mind if you got what I did.

    I was reading a post where at the end of a person's answer he said to remember to pre-order Snow Leopard for $10! Is he serious or just joking? If he is serious, where can you pre-order it? I have looked online and found nothing. Can anyone give me the real deal? Thanks,

    It applies. However - the difference is between those who bought via the Online Store and those who bought from any reatail store (including an Apple Store).

  • For those that pre-ordered on-line, did you get a separate email to accept terms?

    My order has been processing since Sunday.  I called customer service and she said I never accepted the new terms.  She said I should have received a separate email but I swear I accepted terms when I pre-ordered on the site (no such email in inbox or deleted items).  She said I'd have to place another order at this point because the "Term" system malfunctioned which would mean a 10/21 delivery vs 9/19 which is what my confirmation email states.  I'm just curious about this mysterious second email because it doesn't sound like others received it either.  My card was charged the pending $1 charge but she swears I won't get the "pending" order because she can't get the "Term" system to work on that order.  Grrrrr!

    That is just something they make you do to "feel better" to make you feel like you did something, customer service reps do it all the time.
    Take xbox live support for example, one of the simplest fixes for an Xbox360 was to unplug the power for 15 seconds, then plug it back in. However, customers would never do it, or lie that they did it or felt that turning the power button off should do the same thing.
    The simple way for customer service reps to get people to remove power from their unit was to have them "re-seat the hard disk" and to re-seat the hard disk you wanted to make sure the device was not plugged into power so you wouldn't run the risk of losing data. Of course re-seating the hard disk didn't do anything, but it got people to remove power.
    You were asked to accept terms so that
    A.) you felt like you did something
    B.) you felt like you were helped
    C.) get you off the phone/line/chat
    but in reality it was all for not

    ordered 64GB black at 10:30am EST on friday morning.. email says 10/14 but the order status page says 10/21 still.. ordered on the business B2B website. anyone else having this issue?
    yes i've read the forum and there are not any business related shipment delay questions.

    my credit card was recently caharged for my 4S so thats definitely a good sign.. hopefully we'll see shipment notifications tomorrow.. but i wouldn't be surprised if we saw them on thrusday for an OVERNIGHT delivery for sometime on friday.
    i ordered 64GB black on friday morning at 10:45am EST
    my order status page now says COMPLETED with an estimated delivery date of 10/21/11
    my confirmation email i received after submitting my order said that it was expected to ship on 10/14/11
    this is what i've been receiving from VZW customer support reps via email..
    "Based on the time and date you placed your order, it should indeed ship on the 14th. However, we will not have the tracking information until Fed Ex actually picks up the package on Friday, the 14th. Your My Biz order number is: MBXXXXXXXXX. We will not have an order number and location code until Friday, when it will process in our system and generate a tracking number. The process is different because this is a pre-order, so we do not have an order number and location code at this time. I verified all of this information with a supervisor here. So, you might just want to give us a call later in the day on Friday to get the tracking information."
    "We have completed your research equipment order. As previously stated on the e-mail response below the phone will be shipped on October 14, 2011. Once FEDEX Tracking number has been assisgned the delivery date and time can be confirmed"

  • Pre ordered, post ship, past dissappointment

    As someone who does a lot of shopping online, all I ask for a company is to be upfront with me. I place a pre order for the FFX/X-2 HD remake. Only reason I delayed making my pre order untill the 16th, was I was looking to see, if Best Buy was doing the pre-order bonus upgrade to the limited edition version. Found out it did, and bought it. The release day was 3/18. It was 'shipped 3/17'. So, i go to check the tracking information...nothing.
    So today, i decide to check the order to see if something would come up.  "La Vergne, TN, United States 03/21/2014 12:00 A.M. Package received for processing by UPS Mail Innovations" with an expected delivery date of 3/27
    Really? I translate this into the item was really shipped the day before.....as this is something i've seen when dealing with eBay transactions. 
    I don't mind if things come up, I don't mind if things get delay; but just let the consumer know..................................should have ordered from Amazon.

    Whenever a pre-order is placed on BestBuy.com, we strive to ship that item as soon as it's available. From time to time, however, the designated carrier may not take possession of the package immediately after a tracking number is generated. Since most carriers also only update their respective tracking pages when a package passes through one of their regional facilities or shipping hubs, this means there can sometimes be a delay between when shipping confirmation is provided and the package's progress can first be tracked online.

  • Change pre-order from SHIPPING to IN-STORE PICK-UP

    Hello,
    This past Sunday, 11/9/14, I placed a pre-order for Super Smash Bros. Wii U to be shipped to my home, but I would now like to pick the game up at a local Best Buy instead -- specifically, the Cambridge, MA location (Store #537).
    I spent 30+ minutes on the phone with three reps earlier today trying to do this and none of them were of any help, but I've found previous posts on the support forum wherein users had the same request granted (for example: http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Gaming-Support/Would-like-to-switch-preorder-games-from-shipping-to-in-...). Since the order has not been prepared yet (the game isn't out for another week or so), I'm hoping that this is still a possibility.

  • How has the pre-order process work for phones?

    I have some questions pertaining to prior phone pre-order processes.  I will be upgrading to the next iphone, whenever it launches.  When I pre-order do I pay the full price for the phone, or do I just pay the upgrade price?  Also, do most pre-ordered items arrive the day of launch, or do they ship day of launch?

    What price you pay is completely dependent on whether you are eligible for a subsidised upgrade from your carrier.
    Usually, most pre-ordered items are scheduled to be delivered on launch day.

  • Missing Pre Order 500 Points for Shadow of Mordor.

    I preordered Shadow of Mordor on 9/19 and picked it up on release date.  Purchase point was posted to my account today, but I'm not seeing bonus points pending or posted to my account.

    If your pre-order of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor met the terms of the "Get $10" pre-order offer, then the 500 bonus points should post to your My Best Buy account within about 20 days.  Please keep in mind that these bonus points may not appear as pending along side the base points.  I looked over your account using the email address you registered with the forum, and from what I can see, your pre-order should qualify.

  • When will pre-order beta codes for Rainbow Six Siege be sent out?

    I pre-ordered Rainbow Six Siege Gold Edition and it's supposed to include guarenteed closed beta access. I have not recieved any emails in regards to this, nor can I find any info on when these will be sent out. Any help would be appreciated

    Previously when I pre-ordered the iphone online (Apple Store) I would receive it on the same date as the release date. Does anyone know if there's a chance we'll get it on Friday Sept. 21st? Thank you.

    I preordered at 7:15 am the day they started the preorders, and the delivery time was already at two weeks.  Yet now when I review the transaction info, it's giving me an Oct. 5th delivery date.  So, yeah... you can bet that the date they gave you is the best you can hope for; there's a much better chance of it coming even later than that, rather than sooner.
