Hi,
Both business publisher and process repository are available in CD2 of BPA Suite complete (for windows OS).
Important step before installing the business process repository is that you must have installed the database. Or else you must have installed BPA with OracleLite or XE database. At the time Business process repository installation you need to choose the database option 1 if Oracle enterprise data base is installed, else you may choose option 2 which says you already have BPA installed with database.

Colocation of Informatica Server, Repository Server and Repository DB

Hi
Is there any real benefit in co-locating Informatica Server, Informatica Repository Server, Repository DB on the same VM? This VM will also have the DAV Server and the DAC Repository will be in the same DB where the Informatica Repository resides?
Is this a recommended approach?
If Informatica Server, Informatica Repository Server are isntalled on 1 VM and DB on another VM, is there a huge performance impact when I have about 1200 workflows a day to run and 1800 mappings.

But the problem is with Servers menu in CMC.
I needs to select the ReportApplication server and change the number of database records to read when preview to a higher number like 80000(default is 2000).

Change shared repository server and path

Hello Friends,
By default WCI save uploaded documents to the "/dwcipt/appsvr/wci_103/ptdr/documents/PTUpload/Active" location on same server where it is installed, Is that possible to change this default settings in the way where if any document uploaded then it save to different path/location on different server ? for example, wci installed on machine A, whenever a document uploaded should save to /wci/upload locaction on machine B. If yes could you please give me the direction for that.

Yes you can...
The location where DR stores content is defined here:
<beahome>/alui/ptdr/<ver>/settings/config/dr-server.xml
Scroll down in the file, and you'll see something like this:

You can just change those paths, to a different server, perhaps using a UNC path or mapped network drive. Move the contents to the new location, then restart the DR service.
Keep in mind, there may be a negative effect on upload performance since DR now needs to send the content to a different machine on the network... Or it could take longer to open uploaded files in the KD.... so you may want to test all this out and how things are impacted under a high load scenario.

Business Process Repository Server connection difficulties

All,
We have Business Process Repository installed and can connect to it on the same machine but are unable to connect from any remote machine.
It would appear therefore that this is some sort of configuration issue, and I see many discussions of this same problem online but no clear or direct resolution given.
Is there a clear source of information anywhere about how to get remote access going? Do others have similar experiences?

Hi Andrew,
Looks like your repository server and the client machines that are unable to connect to repository are in different sections on yr LAN. have you checked at the firewall for required ports to be opened for comminucation between Client and repository server?
You can get the list of ports in the admin documents or can directly ask Oracle support for it.

I have gone to the Central Configuration Manger and it all of the servers running except for input file repository server and output file repository server. When I start those two servers it goes right back to stopped. Now I checked the event viewer for errors and these to errors show up.

Now to give a bit of a back story as to what happened before this. We were having a issue logging into the domain on this machine. The only way to get passed this was to unjoin and rejoin it to the domain then this happened. When I try to go to the CMC using the admin launch page I get the following error.

I'm a bit new to business objects software as this system was setup way before I started working for this company and noone that put this system in place has worked here for a while now. So I'm hoping some of you can help me out a bit or atleast point me in the right direction.

BI 4.0 File repository server

Hi,
In BI 4.0, Input file repository server and ouptut file repository server, the servers are in the running mode but the HEALTH is in red state . how to make HEALTH to Green state. even i have restarted the server but it still in Red state only. whether the File repository server is down, if it is in red state. can anyone help on this. for this reason, i am not able to open the migrated webi report. it shows "The document cannot be retrieved from the File Repository Server. (WIS 30951) (Error: INF )" error

Hi,
Please check if you have changed the FRS path if yes make sure the FRS path is correct and exists.
You can do that by logging into CMC --> Servers --> Input/Output File Repository server properties.

Problem with Business Process Publisher and AIA

After installing AIA 11.1.1.5, I installed the Business Process Publisher following the instructions in the AIA Installation Guide at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/aia.htm, sec. 8.3: "Manually uploading reference process models to business process publisher".
Since I could not find the Publisher installation files in the AIAFP install I downloaded from OTN, I used the Publisher installation files from the BPA OTN download (files Oracle_BPA_Suite_11.1.1.4_OTN_1of2.zip and Oracle_BPA_Suite_11.1.1.4_OTN_2of2.zip - I did not install BPA before installing Publisher).
Now when I launch Publisher the login page says "Currently, no exports are available. You can only log in to the administration area at this time". If I login, the new page does not show any AIA contents, only the message "There are currently no profiles available". (I am not sure which “exports” and “profiles” it is talking about).
Evidently something is missing, but I cannot figure out what.

Business Process Publisher login

What is the login name for the Business Process Publisher administrator. The quick start document mentioned the default password. But I could not get an user name to work with the password.
Please help. I am helping a client with evaluation of the product.

system / manager is one default for database which can be used for BP as well.
You can define the new users and user groups at BPA administration module. according to the access privileges and the filters applicable the users can access only limited components of model exported for publishing.

Integrating Java into SAP Business One Via DI Server and the B1WS

Hello Everyone
We are using the B1WS to call the Web Services from our web application. We are able to Generate the WSDL files using the Generator application and now wish to test the connection between our web server and the DI server However I am getting a 404 error from the web service endpoint in the WSDL files (/B1WS/Service.asmx)
I've created a login request from the WSDL which all seems sound, but it's still getting 404 errors when it tries to connect to the endpoint. I've passed the request through tcpmon so I can see the content of it, and the request looks good, but isn't getting any response. Is there any other SAP configuration that needs to be done to publish these services? I have read the Detailed B1WS Word Document and everything seems fine from that standpoint.
In hope, I've made the following configuration changes to the web services application, but am still getting a 404 error:
- Given the ASPNET user and the NETWORK SERIVCE group the required permissions for the SBODI_Server in DCOM configuration.
- Changed the virtual directory home of "B1WS" from
C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One Web Services\B1WS\App_Code to
C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One Web Services\B1WS
This directory has a web.config file, and has the bin files etc, but still seems to be missing a Service.asmx file (this missing , I don't know if that's all that's missing as I don't have any reference application to compare it to as I am using Java.
As usual your help is much appreciated.

Hello everyone,
I've had the same problem with the "missing" Service.asmx.
In my case, it helped to activate "Active Server Pages" and "ASP.NET" in the Web Services Configuration in the Internet Services Manager, which were both deactivated by default.

How to Create A standalone Report Server and replce by in process server

I am new to oracle reports 10g, I have installed oracle applicaction server 10.1.2.0.2 on RHEL4 now i want to create a standalone report server and replace it by the in-process report server . I searched the net to get a proper step by step guide to do the above but dint got the same can anybody guide to step by step process to do the same and also file which are to be edited i user sh rwserver.sh -install server name bath=yes command and sh rwserver.sh server name bath=yes & commad to start it but i am not able to see the same in the enterprise manager . Thanks in advance...
Also please tell me if it is recommeded by oracle to replace the standalone by inprocess server.

App server , process scheduler , web server and DB scripts

Good Morning.
I am looking for the script which will help me in doing health check-up for app server , process scheduler , web server and DB.
The script should trigger a email when any one of the domain is down and when it get up.

If you really only want scripts you should write them yourself. If you don't understand the script how can you be expected to support it, modify it, or add new features? You don't even indicate what OS your using? I could give you a copy of a powershell script but what good is that on a linux box?
You need to identify what you really are interested in monitoring. Is it process health only? actual system integrity? Do you need to know if a process count goes under a certain threshold? Is the processes scheduler really working? Is queuing occurring somewhere? Is the web server at a critical number of open sessions? log monitoring for keywords? Do you need to actually simulate a web session which would prove the full system is working in one execution, although it won't indicate a failure will occur where some other monitoring might?
This is why the others have recommended pre-built packages that already offer most of this. If you still want scripts, gather your requirements, think about what you really need, try some stuff on your own, and if you have a specific problem with a script or how to accomplish a particular system check, post a new question, and I'll do my best to help. I think you'll get a better response from everyone if you do that.
