Hi,
Normally business scenarios in finance
a. Procure to Pay - Purchase Req, Purchase order, Goods Receipt, Invoice Receipt,  Payment to vendor, Bank reconciliation (this is End to End process)
b. Order to cash - Sale order, Delivery, Post goods issue, billing, Incoming payment, Payment allocation, Dunning, Interest calculation, customer statement (End to end)
c. Asset Accounting - Project system, WBS element, Purchase order, Receive asset, Invoice booking, Asset capitalization,  depreciation,  retirement, transfer.

  • Business scenarios for daily, weekly and nightly loads!!

Can any body tell some Business scenarios for daily, weekly and nightly loads where we monitor the loads in Production support.
    Regards
    srikanth.ch

    Hi,
It all depends on your business needs. In general on daily basis you will load the SD and MM which will cover all the stock and sales done for day. Generally most of the clients use Lo Cockpit extraction for both the modules. FI chains will run on month end for example the AP(Accounts Payable),AR(Accounts Receivable) chains will be run on the month end.
Some SD datasources : 2lis_13_vdhdr, 2lis_13_vditm, 2lis_13_vdkon - all these to pull billing related data
    Some MM Datasource : 2lis_03_bx and 2lis_03_bf.

  • Variable declaration in BEx - Business scenario's

    Hi,
I need some documents about all kind of variable declaration with some example business scenarios in MM, FI-CO modules.
will assign you a reasonable points
    Regards,
    Pooja.S

    Hi Pooja,
The processing type of a variable may be varies from business requirement.
In general we will use the processing type:
Replacement Path : If you specify a variable as a characteristic value, you do not have to specify a text for the characteristic value right away. Instead, you can fill the text field dynamically and specifically for the characteristic that you use for the variable when you execute the query. To do this, define a text variable with automatic replacement.

Authorisations: If the user belongs to Asia PAciffic region and he must see only details of his region then we can create a variable Region vt Processing type Authorisations so that he vl able to see only that region's data.
SAP EXIT: If you want to define a query that only ever displays the data from the current month, drag the delivered variable “current month” (technical name 0CMONTH) for the characteristic “calendar year/month” (technical name 0CMONTH) into the query filter.
Customer Exit: You want to use one characteristic value to calculate a second characteristic value. The InfoProvider only contains the calendar day. However, you now also want to display the cumulated value for the relevant period (beginning with the first day of a quarter) in a query.
For the first day of the quarter, use a variable with customer exit processing. If you now enter the current calendar day (for example, 06/19/2000), a start date of 06/01/2000 appears in the customer exit, and the cumulated value of this period can be displayed.

  • Terms of payment - how to cover my business scenario

    Dear experts,
I am dealing with the following business scenario.
A Sales rep proposes to the client a term of payment made up od several partial amount; for example let assume 3 partial amounts.
The Rep proposes to the client a fixed date, representing the date of the first payment that the client has to do and the installments.
For instance, the client's first date of payment is 1st february and then 1st march and 1st april.
1st february is determined on the M/AM billling data set as 30 days after actual billing date
    Issue:
If the actual billing date is not equal to the planned billing date, the result is that the client has to pay the first partial amount in a  date different fronm the one agreed with the Rep.
Is there any way in SPRO in order to link the installment to other dates rather than to actual billing date? (i.e. planned billing date, custom date field)
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Kalyan,
...how to do automate start for a process in CE7.2...
Create a new message event trigger and a new service interface(WSDL) in the process composer and link the service interface to the event trigger. Now assign the event trigger to the start event of your process as message event.
On deployment, the EVENT TRIGGER you created is exposed as web service (can be verified in wsnavigator). Execute the web service to automatically start the process. You could have a web dynpro application to execute the web service on click of a button.

  • Configuring business scenario "Quote to cash"

    Dear All,
This is regarding configuring business scenario "Quote to cash" for Industrial machinery product. In Material master (mm01) tab for Sales:general plant we have assigned serial number profile.
During GR for the order, we are creating serial numbers automatically. The user has a specific requirement of prefixing the serial numbers.
For example he wants the serial numbers to have a prefix 'Mach' i.e. Mach01, Mach02 and so on.
Please help me with the configuration details for meeting this requirement of the customer
    Warm Regards
    Mazdul

    Hi.
These prefixes are constant or it is depends on plants or depends on material type..

  • Pre-paid invoice business scenario

    Hi,
    Payment for Office premises,
At the starting of each year, all the 12 month rent of a year pay to the vendor.
For example: Suppose 5000 EUR is the monthly rent of office premises. Hence 60000 EUR (5000 * 12) paid to vendor on 1st of January 2007 for the whole year 2007. All the 12 month rent paid in advance on the starting of a year. However the actual expenditure should allocate to the each month i.e.  5000 EUR expenditure should comes on January expenditure report, next 5000 EUR expenditure should comes on February expenditure report, next 5000 EUR expenditure should allocate on March expenditure report 5000 EUR & so on.
Could any one so kind to help me out to configure such business scenario in SAP.
For your information, Purchase Order with invoicing plan can be use for such scenario, however I don’t have any idea how to allocate the total amount to each month.
Your input would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regd,
    Sp sahu

    Dear sahu,
    No configuration is required.
    1) Initially you need to post an entry  on 1st Jan of every year
Rent Vendor A/c Dr         60000 EUR ( advance Entry)
    To Bank                 Cr    60000 EUR
    2) You need to use T-Code FBS1 ( recurring transaction entries)
Create a recurring entry for 5000 EURO
    Rent A/c Dr                 5000 EUR
To Vendor A/c Cr         5000 EUR
This entry will be posted every month 1st or on 30th based on the intial entry you have created. Only you need to do is to run the Recurring entry programme, in every month.
    Assign points if found useful.

  • BPM - Restict display of Business Scenarios and Processes to Process Owners

    Hello Experts,
I have thoroughly researched but have been unable to find an answer to this question. Is it possible within BPM to filter either the business scenario or processes to the owners of that process or scenario. For example if I have BPMon turned on for Finance or OTC scenarios, I only want the people in finance to be able to view and monitor only their finance processes when they receive their alert and the same for OTC and the other process teams. Even at the process level I only want certain process owners to only have access to the processes that they are monitoring. Do you guys know if this is at all possible either through the work centers or dswp to restrict they view based on the business scenario or process?
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hello Mike,
at the moment there exists only an authorization object on "Solution"-level. So if it is an absolute must to allow views on different processes you would have to plit it into different solutions. But I don't recommend that as you might end up with an unnecessary amount of solutions.
The problem is known for some time and we forwarded it to the group which is generally responsible for the graphical display in Solution Manager, as we are only responsible for BPMon. The plan is to provide the option to create different views containing one or several processes and assigning then only these views to different users or user groups.
The shipment of this solution was targeted for ST400 SP23 but I have currently no information if it is finally within this Support Package.
I will try to follow up on this.
    Best Regards
    Volker

  • Business scenario for Visual Composer

    Dear All:
I have been searched for the document about SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer. Mostly they are about IT scenario and features. We heard that it is highly-graphic supported, code-free and provide modeling for business logic. But we are looking for clear ideas about what is the business scenario it can be applied and what s the best circumstance to recommend business users use visual composer. Can anyone provide us documents or idea about it?
    Thank you very much
    S.F

    Hi Szu-Fen,
as you already mentioned, VC is designed for code-free applications. These applications normally consume data from different sources and visualize this information in an "easy to understand" manner. They are called management cockpits. An example for such a management cockpit can be found here:
    http://www.cubeserv.com/produkte/visual_composer/visual_composer_ss2_de_k.gif
Hopefully this gives you an idea of the purpose of VC.

  • A new Business Scenario Mapping in SAP

    Hi,
I have a new business scenario with one of my client.
    Business Scenario is like this:
    1. Material needs to be transferred to government agencies. Inventory should be deducted from my plant and should be displayed with govt agencies.
    2. They will do some reseach work on the material and send the material back to my client. There will not be any change in the property of the material.
    3. Material is excisable. But for this scenario since govt is involved no sales tax and nill excise.
    4. If govt will not be able to transfer all the material back, they will pay for the differences. For example, we have sent 100 tonne material and we have received back only 99.5 Tonne. Govt will pay charge for 0.5 tonne.
Since the place where i am sending the material doesn't belong to my own entity/premise, legaly i cant create a new plant and use STO.
Requirement is to have inventory deducted from my plant upon transfer to govt, so i cant use sub contracting in MM also. Because in case of Sub Contracting the material will be valuated at my plant only.
Your help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mihir

    Hi,
You can create the governemnt agency as subcontracting vendor  and using movement type 331or333 or335 i.e for sampling you transfer the goods with nil servicecharge or cost and then take it back .As you say if they are returning only partial quantity then act accordingly.

  • Business scenario to define material combination via batch characteristics.

    Dear all,
There is one business scenario. Condition is some of the raw material just could only be available for some special material and not available for normal mixture on BOM master.
Could you please help whether we can define the below scenario on SAP system via batch characteristic ? thanks.
Case 1: In some condition, raw material only allow for some specific customer products
Case 2: In some condition, raw material only available for some specific mixture code
Case 3: In some condition, Normal raw materials could be available for all mixture except some mixture materials.
    Thanks,
    Brijesh

    Dear all,
What I mention was within the same raw material but different batch situation. for example, if the material A batch 123 could only available for Finish good F,G,H,I,J and the Material A batch 124 and Batch 125 could only for Finish good H and J. this is one scenario. For the second case , the Material A Batch 126 could not be used for finish good F and G. could you please help me to clarify those two scenario on SAP ? thanks.

  • Business scenario for CLIX

    Dear Experts,
At what business scenario we need to use CLIX instead of MDM Console ?

    Hi,
an example of CLIX that it can be used for Scheduled backups.
It helps in mounting, unmounting, starting and stopping MDM, and loading, unloading, verify and repairing MDM repositories.
CLIX is a separate MDM 5.5 application that allows you to manage MDM 5.5 repositories using a command line interface instead of the MDM 5.5 Console. CLIX makes most operational MDM 5.5 Console commands accessible via a command line interface and from within batch files, making it useful for scheduling and automating routine maintenance and backup operations.
    + An
refer to page 285 on console guide for more info. It has all the info for you.
In our project we had to use it since we required it to take backup every night and also load repositories automatically after all the software upgrades on windows server or db whenever the basis had to restart server.
