Hi,
In the RFC Service, Add the Standard Idoc's Message Inetrface name at Receiver TAB only
that all
You can Implement the same Scenario with out BPM also

  • Should i use Business system or Business service for a 3rd party file sys?

    Hi Gurus
    My requirement is to send a file from 3rd party client system to SAP ECC system.
    I want to confugure a file sender CC to pickup the file and send it to ECC system thru proxy.
    Now, after going thru the SAP definitions of 3rd party Business system (if the system is present the landscape and technical details are available) and Business service (if system's technical details is not available because it is not present in the landscape. Only the interface details are available, for ex: external webservice), i am not sure which one to use.
    What is the use of using a 3rd Business system instead of using business service in my current situation?
    In both the cases, i can use a file sender CC and pickup the file from a folder using FTP protocol.
    What is the criteria based on which i need to take this decision?
    And finally, how are the system name & host name details, which we given during 3rd party technical system definition in SLD useful?
    Many Thanks
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra
    Its always preferred to use Business service for communication with systems outside the landscape. As it does not refer to any SLD components and safe to use on internet etc.
    What is the use of using a 3rd Business system instead of using business service in my current situation?
    If you want to use 3rd party system you need to define party based communication and it acts as a party in production environment. You can also create a Standalone sytem in SLD for your use. Standalone technical system mostly refers to standalone Java applications in landscape.
    n both the cases, i can use a file sender CC and pickup the file from a folder using FTP protocol.
    What is the criteria based on which i need to take this decision?
    If your communication is party based and the 3rd party you refer is a party for ERP then it make sense to use a third party communication and use party name as well.By this i mean business wise. Else its always good to use Business service.
    And finally, how are the system name & host name details, which we given during 3rd party technical system definition in SLD useful?
    To use this third party system you need to register products on TS else you will not be able to see any Interface etc while configuring in ID. you need to add all details to it in SLD.
    Thanks

  • Can we use same Business Service for Sender and Receiver

    Can we use same Business Service for Sender and Receiver

    Hi
    In addition to the above infomation explaining about the Business Service..
    Business Service: Address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages.
    Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
    The business services are used when configuring cross-company processes also..

  • OSB: Configuring business service for JMS Queue

    Hi,
    I want to produce messages into a JMS queue from OSB proxy service. I have created business service for the JMS queue. I also want to return Status code=200, Status Messgae=Success if the message is successfully inserted into the Queue. Kindly let me know how to do this.
    I tried using Service Callout to call the business service but it is not allowing me to use it because my business service is a one-way operation. So, i tried with Publish activity but my doubt is how and where to configure request payload for the publish activity. I could not find any.
    And how do i know if the message is successfully inserted so that i can send the Status=200 back to the calling proxy service.
    Kindly help in this regard.
    Thanks in advance.

    As suggested, use QoS=ExactlyOnce as RoutingOption within the Publish to business service. If there was any error it will send the flow to error handler where you can do a reply with failure to return HTTP status code=500 to the caller of the proxy service.
    If you do a reply with success the caller will receive HTTP status code=200

  • Can I create JDE BSSV (Business Services) for REST based services?

    Can I create JDE BSSV (Business Services) for REST based services? If yes, then how? In what way it will be different from SOAP based?

    Hi
    Within Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus would handle the REST side of things, which in turn would call the JCA adapter to talk to your JDE backend, or vice versa.
    Checkout the JDE adapter docs - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/documentation/jdewardsweb-1954164.pdf
    and the OSB Docs - HTTP and Poller Transports - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7)
    OSB 11.1.1.7 introduced additional REST support, so I'd recommend using that version onwards.

  • OSB error while generating business service for FTP adapter Sync Get File

    Hi All
    I am trying to generate a business service from SOA Suite JCA FTP adapter Sync Get File, but i am getting this exception for no reasons (Rest operations list file, get file and put file are working)
    Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: java.lang.NullPointerException     Unknown ALSB Conflict.
    Is this a bug in eclipse, can any body help me. Thanks
    Sorry Forgot to mention eclipse version...
    Eclipse Platform
    Version: 3.6.2
    Build id: M20110210-1200

    Ok,
    bcoz of this issue, i had to code the entire interface in OSB console. It runs fine in OSB console (i was able to test it successfully).
    Is this a bug in eclipse or only i am facing this issue? Has anybody tried to create a business service from JCA FTP Get Synchronous jca file?
    <adapter-config name="FTPReadMOMFileOnRMSDB" adapter="FTP Adapter"
         wsdlLocation="../wsdl/FTPReadMOMFileOnRMSDB.wsdl"
         xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
         <connection-factory location="eis/ftp/RMSDBFtpAdapter" />
         <endpoint-interaction portType="SynchRead_ptt"
              operation="SynchRead">
              <interaction-spec
                   className="oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.outbound.FTPReadInteractionSpec">
                   <property name="DeleteFile" value="true" />
                   <property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="/MOMFiles/output" />
                   <property name="FileName" value="*" />
                   <property name="FileType" value="binary" />
              </interaction-spec>
         </endpoint-interaction>
    </adapter-config>
    One more doubt? The PhysicalArchiveDirectory path can be on the FTP server something like: /MOMFiles/archive. Or do i have to use the Put operation to move it to /MOMFiles/archive directory. Currently OSB console and eclipse do not accept FTP path for this parameter and want me to specify a local directory on server. Thanks

  • Conflict between 2 business services for the same SAP R/3 instance

    Hi,
    We developed a packaged solution that connects to SAP R/3 with RFC Adaptor and idoc Adaptor.
    We deliver design and configuration packages defining the entire integration schema between an external system and SAP.
    The configuration defines a business service BS_SAP_R3 containing RFC and idoc communications channels.
    When we deploy and configure the solution (design and config) on a XI instance we have a conflict.
    As the XI already contains a Business Service connecting to the same SAP instance (other integration) we want to use with our business service BS_SAP_R3, we have an error when configuring the “<i><b>Adapter-Specific Identifiers…</b></i>” properties “R/3 System ID” and “<i><b>Client</b></i>” from the section “<i><b>IDoc Adapter and RFC Adapter</b></i>” with the message, for the BS_SAP_R3
    <i><b>Check Result for Object BS_SAP_R3
    SAP system ID D46 and client 800 already exist in service | BC_TEST_SAP_R3  </b></i>
    Is there a way to solve this conflict problem?
    Thanks for your help.

    Could you give more details about the design issue and what you have on mind?
    I also suspect a design issue but do not know how to solve it...
    If in your Configuration you have 150 Receivers Determinations, Interface Determinations and Receiver Agreements referencing the same BS business service to access SAP, can you make the service configurable in any sort…
    Can you recommend another solution?
    The only solution I see it to regenerate all the configuration by hand using the already exiting SAP BS… But for 150 objects… it is not a real solution...
    Thanks for your help

  • Siebel Tools Business Services for Source Control verification

    One of the challenges with integrating Siebel Tools with a Source Control repository is that it is far too easy for an user to check in code to the Siebel Repository without that code getting checked in correctly to the Source Control repository (i.e. Subversion).
    They can turn off the source control, have it setup incorrectly, or have some permissions issues which they don't know about. Since Siebel does all check-ins as an after though you can have the two code repositories (Siebel Tools and Subversion) out of sync.
    Was wondering if anyone out there has used any of the out of the box Business Services (that start with Siebel Tools..) to build an automated process that would compare the objects in Siebel (via SIF-XML) to the files that got stored in the Source Control repository.
    Or how have you mitigated this risk?

    There are 2 things required to meet your need:
    1) be able to generate a config.jar file from the resources in the source control in a command line tool.
    2) deploy this jar file into alsb
    WRT 1) this is something we want to address by adding an ALSB ant task, but it's not available today. You best bet is also to put the config jar in the source control.
    WRT 2) this is already there. You can use the MBean APIs or WLST scripts to deploy the JAR.

  • Creating a Business Service for Start/Stop Application Service in CCB 2.3.1

    Hi,
    I'm in the process of creating a BPA script that invokes a Business Service to perform a Start/Stop for a given Account ID/Premise ID combination. The Business Service is using the base Application Service: Start Stop (CILCSSEP). I am moving the Account ID and Premise ID, along with the start date and requested by fields to the data area of the Business Service, prior to invoking it. When I invoke the Business Service via the BPA script, it throws the below error message... I'm at a loss because the BILL_ADDR_SRCE_FLG is being set to a default of "PREM" on the Business Service Schema:
    A Bill Address Source is required on the address override record. Please enter a valid value.
    One of these two is true:
    1) The Bill Route Type on this record has a Bill Routing Method of 'Postall', or
    2) The main customer on the Account has a Quote Route Type with a Quote Routing Method of 'Postal'.

    Hi,
    Can you try and do this transaction online and see if the error occurs as well? If so run it with traces on and check for the details just before the error is thrown. ( you can also switch on debug via the service call, but it may be easier to debug when doing this online. ) I am predicting this error will occur also when you do it online.
    When you are using an Account with its main Person set up with BILL_ADDR_SRC_FLG as PREM you will need a valide PREM_ID on the CI_ACCT record for MAILING_PREM_ID and the premise needs to have a switch set to YES indicating it is a Mailing Address type Premise.

  • Do I use Service Catalogue or Business Services for this?

    Hi
    I'm just looking at implementing System Centre Service Manager - I'm an ITIL expert but not a Microsoft techie so bear with me!
    I need to represent 130ish Services within SCSM which are different products we sell and support for our clients. Incidents, changes, releases etc will then be logged against these services, not the individual chunks of hardware.
    How and where do I set these up in SCSM?? I had assumed it was setting up Business services? Is that correct?
    Do the business services initially have to be associated with hardware held in SCCM or can we have a POC with a standalone service?
    A bit fat pointer would be usefu right now!
    Thanks

    You are right: Business Services can be used for this.
    You only need to specify a Display Name for the new Business Service. No other information are mandatory or requiered to create a Business Service in SCSM.
