Business system Doesnot change while transporting

Hi All,
When Transporting my business system from DEV to QA, my business system doesnot change. I already checked in SLD that my DEV business system is pointing to the correct system in QA. Also DEV and QA are on one SLD only.
You guys will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
---Satish

You also have to make sure that the DEV/QAS Business Systems are associated to the respective DEV/QAS XI system. For that, open the BS in SLD, go to the "Integration" tab and check the "Related Integration Server".
Also, make sure that both the DEV BS & DEV XI are inside the same "DEV" transport group in SLD, as well as the QAS BS & QAS XI are both in the same "QAS" group.

Henrique.

• Lync status doesnot change while on call

Hi People,
We have 1 isolated Lync issue where user's Lync status changes to busy instead of "on a call" while the user talking via Lync.
User does not have Lync mobile app or Lync deskphone so the possibility of Lync status being overwritten can be ruled out. I have tried deleting sip folder/ tracing folder asnd repairing office 2013 but no luck.
I am looking at the new sip trace of the user but can not see any input from the server when the call is connected( Not sure if there is any)
Any suggestion?

If the Lync user make a call and the call is established, the status is not busy?
Because "on a call" will be only shown with the right privacy relationship like workgroup and not for colleagues.

• Logical system Name Change Via Transport

Hi All,
Recently we made changes in parallel processing profile customizing table (/SAPAPO/SDP_PAR) and created entries for Macro Jobs and CIF.
For Application "CIF Delta Report", Logical system is mandatory and in Dev we gave the APO Dev Logical System Name (AD1XXX). Now when we moved the changes to Quality, expectation was that Logical system name for CIF Entry in the table would change to AQ1XXX - However, it still shows as AD1XXX there. Moreover AD1XXX entry is not a valid entry in Quality System and even when we see Drop Down values for that column (Press F4) - Only APO and ECC Quality systems names are appearing.
Please suggest how can this logical system name be corrected. One option is running BDLS, but when this TR moves to Production there also we might end up in same scenario (Logical system as AD1XXX instead of AP1XXX) and running BDLS in Production wont be approved.
Please suggest if there is any other option to handle this.

• XI - Transport of ID via CMS / Business System Replacement

Dear Experts,
We have installed SAP XI, and we now have our QA environment installed. We are transporting our objects from DEV to QA through CMS.
In the SLD, we have defined 2 business systems : SAP_R3_DEV and SAP_R3_QA. Each of this system is assigned to a group (DEV_GRP and QA_GRP). We have added dependencies in the "Transport" section of the business systems (i.e. SAP_R3_DEV becomes SAP_R3_QA when transporting).
So, everything seems to be configured.
Now, we are transporting objects from the Integration Directory using CMS / Transport Studio. My understanding was that occurences of "SAP_R3_DEV" should be replaced by "SAP_R3_QA", but this is not working.
Where am I wrong ?
Our configuration :
XI 3.0 - Netweaver 2004s SP10
We have 3 different SLDs (DEV, QA and PRD)

Your help would be greatly appreciated !
Regards,

Here are more details...
We have multiple SLDs : One for DEV, one for QA and one for PROD environments.
We do all the configuration in the DEV SLD, and then use Export / Import functionality to replicate data in QA / PROD environments. We did also a full SLD Export / Import in case something was missing.
In many forums / blogs, it's indicated we should go in SLD, under "Business Landscape" on the first screen, and under the Business System we can find the "Transport Target" field.
In our version of XI, which is 2004s SP10, we must go in SLD, under "Business Systems" on the first screen, and under the Business System we have a "Transport" tab in which we must indicate both a "Target Group" and a "Target System".
We have created an XI_DEV group and assigned business systems SAP_R3_DEV and SAP_XI_DEV
to it.
We have also created an XI_QA group and assigned business systems SAP_R3_QA and SAP_XI_QA to it.
In the "Transport" tab, we have configured XI_QA / SAP_R3_QA as the transport target for SAP_R3_DEV.
In the Integration Repository, we do our configuration using Business System SAP_R3_DEV.
When transporting, we tried both CMS and Export/Import methods. However, when importing in XI QA, we still see SAP_R3_DEV instead of SAP_R3_QA...
I hope this clarifies )
Thanks a lot for your time !

• Business system re-point

Hi all,
We need to re-point all the interfaces in our PI system from one R3 system to another so we need to change the Business system. We can not do it via transports as it is the only PI system that we have at the moment. Is it any way to do it automatically? -we can not mantain the BS name-
I know it is not a typical question and we are not sure if there is a way to do it but it can prevent us to re-point more than 100 interfaces manually....
Thanks a lot!!
Diana

I am not sure my assumption is correct or not, but I want to share it, in case it might help you. Since you want to re-point your existing Business System( say B1) of existing R3 system (say R-1) to new R3 system ( Say R-2). I think you can create the new R3 Systems(R-2) system in SLD in the same way you have done for R-1 and point your Business System B1 to newly created R3 System R-2. Then save the changes in SLD and refresh them in ID( SLD Refresh). See if this works out. I am assuming this since while creating business system through wizard we will provide for which technical system business system should point to. So I feel that we can edit exist business system and change the current pointing technical system R-1 to new technical System R-2.

• Business system issue

Hi All,
I am working on SAP PI 7.31 dual stack ( SP8).
Our non- Prod SLD ( dev and QA) is pointing to QA system. Basis team have created one Third party Business System in QA System SLD .
The issue is while importing the Business system in Dev system i am not able to see the required Business system.
Moreover while checking the QA system i can see the same Buisness system present in the import queue of QA system.
I have done the SLD cache refresh and also done the delta cache refresh as well!
Can some one please help me out in this or anyone faced this issue before please revert back.
Thanks for your inputs on this.
Rgards

Hi
Normally the transport path is like that
Dev----> quality--->production
In the SLD, the business system mapping should be like this
Source target
DEV BS QA and PRD PS
QA BS PRD BS
How you are importing the business system in DEV ? by using transport ? have u check the log of transport request in SE01 or SE10
You can directly assign the business system in dev
Goto Business System--right click and select assign business system-->select the business system from SLD.

• SLD: Adjust / Add logical system name for Business System [XI 3.0]

Hi,
In the System Landscape Directory, is it possible to adjust the logical system name of an already created business system?
I found in the content maintenance in Subset="All Classes", Class=SAP_BCClient" --> <MY_BUSINESSSYSTEM_ENTRY> the only possibility to add information on the logical system name of a business system.
Unfortunately, the information provided in the BCClient Entry is not forwarded to the Business System Entry for my Business System in the Business Landscape View of the SLD...
Is there another possibility to add the logical system name to an exisiting business system?
Regards
Kristian

In a third party business system, it is not possible to add a logical system, but you can delete the business system and recreate it with the same name without problems.
After assigning a new logical system to a business system, you have to go to the integration directory and reload the logical system for the business system. Therefore open the Business System in change mode and maintain the Logical System with menu service -> Adapterspecific Identifiers.

• About ABAP Technical Systems and Business Systems

Hi experts,
I have an Integration scenary with XI and an R3 vía RFC. I've already created it in the development environment and when I'm going to transport to Consolidation and Production I find that the ABAP Business System related to the ABAP Technical System of the R3 have a different name from the development one.
In the Integration Repository everything its OK because my scenario is developped on a third party system BS and TS. The problem is in the Directory because of the BS of the Message interfaces....
I think that transport Directory scenario with .tpt wont work. I'll probably have to develop it in each environment... What do you think?
Regards
Gonzalo

This is what you need to do to move from Dev to QA.
1. Go to Dev SLD and Export all your SWCV, Products, Technical and Business Systems. This is nothing but saving of the SLD objects as a CIM file on your local machine. You would also need to export the Technical And Business System poitning to your XI integration server .
2. Go to the QA SLD and then import these objects exported in Step 1 in QA SLD
3. Now, create the QA Tech and Business Systems in the QA SLD
4. Go to the Dev Business systems imported on the QS SLD and you will have an option Transport Targets. In this map the Source Business System to the Target Business Systems.
Make sure that all Dev Business Systems have the correspodning Transport Targets for the QA Business SYstems
5. Now if you import the ID objects in QA , the business systems name will be renamed automatically.

• Business system for third party webservice

Hi,
I am new to XI and idoc..Kindly help me understanding concept ..
Is it mandatory to maintain the Logical system name for Sender business system in SLD while we are dealing with Third party systems?
I have Webservice to IDOC scenario. For webservice we are using one business service in logical system is configured as legacy system. When i try to post data from pi to SAP..
It gives me error EDI: Partner profile not available when i check status in WE02.
Is it due to legacy name maintained in third party business system this name is not same to the XI Logical name.
Partner profile maintained for both sender and receiver in we20.

Logical system name fro the WebService has to be maintained in SLD and the same name has to be there in ECC in WE20.
Check the below blog:

• Why "Business System" under "Party"

Hi,
As per my understanding, the "Party" in IB-Config is mainly used for B2B integration and "Service without Party" is mainly used for A2A integration.
Under B2B scenario, one won't know the details of the application details of the partner's application, therefor we use "Business Service" , similarly for A2A scenario, one has the knowledge of the applications within the same organization and thereyby we use "Business System" in ID.
If my above statement is true ,then why do we have "Business System" under "Party" while defining the Collaboration Profile Objects in Integration Directory and similarly why do we have "Business Service" under "Service without party"?
Thanking all of you in advance.
SR

Your are correct , but in order to use Business service or Business system A2A and B2B may not be the reason always.
you are free to use Business Service for A2A scenario ,if you don't have concrete information of the system in SLD , e.g published Webservices(sender or reciever).
Similarly , you can use Business System for B2B scenario,if you have enough information of a system which can defined in SLD , e.g Customer SAP ERP .

• How can ID automatically change the business system while importing?

Hi gurus,
There are many scenarios in our PI system. It will be a tedious work if we don't use transport system(CTS+).
You know we have to create the scenarios manually in Integration Directory since the business system is different.
The question is as below (BTW:We are using local SLD for dev, qas, prd separately):
If we don't use transport system, and only use export and import functionality, and create business system group, can we make the ID automatically change the name of business system while importing?

Hi Xinjiang,
You can follow below method.
In Quality system transport targets will be DEV(Dev pi system) ---> QEA(Quality PI system)
In Production system transport targets will be DEV(Dev pi system) ---> PEA(Production PI system)
This will ensure that you does not need to create separate request in Quality system. You can use the same request created in Dev to transport to production system. This will reduce your efforts of transportation. This is the same type of approach that is followed in ECC system as well or next solution is creating transport target in each sld system as you mentioned below,
we have three local SLD, so we need to create TS and BS for PI DEV in SLD QAS, and create TS and BS for PI QAS in SLD PRD,
Following link will help you for defining transport target.

• Transport Error while transporting ID TR (Target Business System not found)

Hi Gurus,
We are facing a issue with transports while transporting a ID transport to Prod from QA.(We are using CTS+)
Its our first transport to PROD and we have checked the configuration for BC Application Server in Administration ->Content Maintenance and all looks good .
Our SLD is looks as below
We have shared SLD for Dev and QA and it looks as below
Dev's BS has target business system of QA BS
And in Prod Sld looks like as below
QA's BS has target business system of Prod BS
When we transport from Dev To QA transport works fine but when we transport from QA to Prod its gives below error and in error its points that target for Dev business system is not found in Target SLD.

Hi,
I assume you have two SLDs(SLD1 - for Dev and QA , SLD2 - for Prod) and PI 7.0 or XI 3.0.
In this case the ideal solution would be to
1. set up a SLD bridge between your Dev/QA SLD and Prod SLD. The bridge basically forwards all the Technical system SLD info to Prod. SLD.
2. Import Dev business systems information into Prod.
3. Then create transport target,
Make sure that you have created Business Groups for Dev/QA/Prod properly

• Transport target for business system not found in System Landscape Director

Folks,
We have new installed new PI 7.1 system and importing interfaces from the OLD XI 3.0 system in to new PID 7.1 system.
We are getting following error when we try to import an interfaces in to new PID system:
Import failed because of business system transfer object
Communication component XID_FileSystem: Obligatory
transport target for business system XID_FileSystem not found in
System Landscape Directory
We are yet to install PIQ system.
All the interfaces in the old XID system have transport target of XIQ system. I removed the transport taget for the interface, but transport target is still showing in the Business system under transport target head.
How can we overcome this issue as we will not have PIQ system atleast for two weeks.
Thanks in advance,
Regards
Chandu

Hi,
You need to maintain Transport Groups and target for business systems while SLD transports between your XI system and PI 7.1
Illustrated with DEv & PRD here.
Procedure:
1) Call Integration Builder screen on DEV Server with http://hostname:J2ee Port/rep
2) Call SLD (System Landscape Directory) Component from the Integration builder
Save all the Following .zip files on the Local Desktop
3) Select the Software Component & say Export that you want to Export from DEV
Server to Production server and which is going to use in the IR of XI
4) Also Select the Product of the above SWC and say Export
5) Select the Technical Systems (TS of XI & TS of the SAP R/3) and say Export
6) Select the Business System(s) & say Export; those are associated with above Exported
Technical systems.
In Production Server
1) Logon to the SLD of the Production Server.
2) Create a Technical System and Business system which points to the Production SAP R/3
3) Go to Administration TAB in the main page of SLD
4) Select the Import option to Import the SWC , PRD, TS,& BS which we Exported Earlier in DEV Server
5) Click on Browse and select the .zip files that is to Import into Production Server,
Which were stored on the local desktop at the time of DEV Server Export
And say Import Selected File Option
By this we exported and imported the SLD Objects
Now we have to create transport groups and transport targets in the Production server of SLD
Creation of Transport Groups
Edit GroupsGroup1) Select the Business systems
2) Click on New Group and give the name of the group as DEV_group & select the
Corresponding Development serveru2019s integration Server
3) Similar way create another group for Production serveru2019s business system as
PRD_group and select the Production serveru2019s integration Server
Creation of transport targets
This is to Define which business systems in two different groups correspond to each other
1) Select each Business system in the SLD and select transport TAB---click on
Add/Change Target and select its corresponding target business system.
For Example:
If you select the business system of Production XI server means
In the target you have to select group as DEVGROUP and the business system of Development XI server.
Like this do the same for other business systems also
Ex:
BS_PRD_Integration Server----
BS_DEV_Inetration Server
