Business transaction control in status schema regarding date determination

Hi all,
is there a business transaction in the status schema that can control the date determination ?
My problem is that the dates are redetermined every time I change status. I can't set the flag "Determine date only once" in the date profile because I wan't the dates to be re-determined when I change the priority. But not when changing the status. How is that controlled ?

Hi Anette,
ITS not possible to control the date determination with standard customizing. Its the event handler CRMV_EVENT that triggers the date determination on change of status. Functions CRM_DATES_RESET_CALENDAR_EC and CRM_DATES_ACTUALDATE_SET_EC are defined for object name STATUS on Event AFTER_CHANGE. You would need to modify this to change the standard functionality.

    Status Profile:
    Eg
    You want pricing for a certain sales order type to be checked before billing is possible. You can do this by specifying that the document automatically receives a self-defined status which prevents billing.
    Actions
    1. Define a status profile.
    2. Assign one or more statuses to the status profile.
    3. Determine for each status whether it is to be set automatically or manually when creating the document.
    4. Define for the status which business functions should be suppressed or at least accompanied by a warning message.
    5. Now assign the status profile to a document type or an item category, for which status management should be active.
    Based on each status u can allow or restrict the documnets that would want to system to either create, give a warning, or simply ignore.

  • Status Profile: Business Transaction Control Config (OK02)

    Hi All,
    I would need to know the use of the options 'no actions', 'set' and 'delete' under the Business transaction control in Status Profile (User Status)  --> you will need to double click on each of the statuses to view the Business Transaction Control - they are the last 3 columns.  Please provide specific example as well. 
    Also, could you help to advise the relevance of the 'lowest' and 'highest' columns in the initial screen?  Please also advise the relevance of position and priority as well. 
    I am really having difficulty understanding the definition from SAP for both items.

    Yes, the transaction code is OK02, sorry for the typo.  For the 'Set' User Status, if below is my actual config:

    a). if someone suddenly do 'complete' (this is not a system status right?). as it is indicated as 'Set Status', what status will be set? user status or system status? What will be the value for the status to be set?
    a). if someone suddenly do 'confirm WBS' (not a system status right?). as it is indicated as 'Set Status', what status will be set? user status or system status? What will be the value for the status to be set?
    Also, may I know where I can see list of system status?System status cannot be defined / added by user right?

  • Business Transaction control based on equipment status

    I have created status profile  for equipment creation . One of the user status is "Created by User" . Now If the user status of the equipment is this , I  want  to disallow notification creation through iw21 on this equipment .
    Please explain in detail how to achieve this through transaction control in status profile (I have already tried object type "maintainence notif " etc in status profile ....but did not find transaction create notification which has to be forbidden .)..
    Also please explain how to view transaction code along with business transaction in transaction control screen ..(any alternate way ?)

    I added a new status  "Rejected (REJC) " the behavior is similar to standard "Confirmed(ERLD)" .

    Business transaction 'Close' sets status 'REJC' and 'ERLD'
    Message no. BS292
    Diagnosis
    You specified in the procedure control of status REJC and status ERLD that both statuses be replaced by the procedure 'Close'. Both statuses have a status number.
    System Response
    When the procedure 'Close' runs, the System will try to set statuses REJC and ERLD. They cannot be active at the same time because they both have status numbers so the entry is rejected.
    Procedure
    Delete one of the two statuses
         or
    give only one of the statuses a status number
         or
    change the procedure control.
    Questions:
    1) Is it possible to get rid of this message?
    2) if possible, how ?
    3) what problems we may have, after doing this ??

    hmmm seems the problem i got was a bit weird. the first server that I was using was only a Windows 2000 Professional Edition. When I installed both database and OAS in a Windows 2000 Server , I was able to deploy the WAR file properly and no NLS error was displayed. However, I'm still getting the servlet not deployed problem.
    I'm getting this in the status display of the WAR File

    You cannot see the system-status in SPRO.
    You can view the system-statuses via BS23.
    Be warned - it is NOT advisable to change the system-status setting as you may screw-up your system. Remember that many statuses are used across multiple objects and multiple modules.

  • Business Transaction Control is not Working for Equipment Status.

    Hi All,
    I have created a Status Profile for Equipment / Functional Location & assigned 5 Status under this Profile i.e. NEW, COM (Commissioning), INS(Inservice), CAM (Care & Maintenance) & DCM (De Commissioned). For Status DCM i have assigned Transaction control FORBIDDEN for "Enter PM processing data , Enter PM planing data & Create Meas. Doc."activities.
    It Means, whenever user creates Plant Maintenance Order OR Notification, Maintenance Plan OR Maintenance Item & Measurement Document for any Equipment / FL having this user status (DCM), system should not allow creation of above mentioned object.
    In my scenario, system is giving an standard error message " The business transaction cannot be carried out" during creation of "Plant Maintenance Order OR Notification, Maintenance Plan OR Maintenance Item".
    But i am able to create measurement document for equipment / FL having user status DCM with Transaction control Forbidden of Measurement document creation. No error message displayed by the system.
    Can anybody tell me why its happening? Why system is giving error during order & plan creation but not for Creation of measurement document ?
    If this is not posible in standard SAP, does any body knows about any OSS note so that we can implement the same to get an error message.

    Please ensure whether both projects have the same budget profile. Other than that you need to carefully investigate how the cost was posted onto both projects in the first place. Please note in case of procurements, budget is only checked at the commitments level (search the forum as this has been discussed before).
    In case this does not resolve your issue, revert back with the budget profile settings.

  • Business Transactions missing under reference data while account Merge

    I am using SAP Standard account merge utility available in CRM 7.0 . After confirming  Master and Source  account in cleansing report when the overview page opens for confirmation and for address confirmation, i am not able to see Business transaction under the "Reference Data". all other data entities are present.
    please provide me the inputs for whether some customization is missing or some setting needs to do.

    thanks for the reply again.
    we can hide or can control  the data to be get listed in the refrence data . there is a simple customizing  (T Code BUSWU02), there on right hand side we need maintain the data entity that  needs to get displayed and to be merge with Master.

    Are we allowed to checnge system status business transaction control ? using transaction BS22?
    Or it can cause problems in the system?

    Hello Rika,
    the system status is the "stronger" one.
    Using transaction bs32 you can display the business transactions for the status maintanance. Position to one of them like "FINI" and display the where used list(F6). You will get a view where the corelation between system status and status process is displayed.
    For FINI I can see that the system status I1005 CMPD Completed is set.
    Now go to the bs22 transaction and search for the I1005 system status. Do also a where used list(F6) and you will get all the processes that delete this system status. You will see that the process QUOT is allowing this.
    So now it comes up to the status profile. You have mentioned that you have the FINI process. Check if the rejection user status is allowed after FINI by checking the lower highest columns in the status profile.
    I hope this will clearify your doubts.

    Hi Vivian,
    As such there will be no negative impact in general but user statuses are required to control business transactions according to one's need . For example say there is a project created in CJ20N but management doesn't wants to release the project without budgeting. So this can be achieved by various user statuses.
    Otherwise if you do not set the user status , it will not make any negative impact.

    I'm creating a report using report painter & would like to prevent Actual Overhead Distribution data (business transaction RKIV) from being reflected in this report. I can add business transactions in the report through Edit -> General Selection data. How do I block a particular business transaction in this report ?

    Hi Sanjeeta,
    there's several ways to do this:
    (1) On the report characteristics window, enter range of values limited the values you want. To add more range, click on the more button, and keep restricting until you have what you want. Then select "no explode".
    (2) My recommended way to do it is to create a basic SET via GS01. Table = GLPCT, Field=ACTIV.
    On the set header, Select "Suppress". Enter the values that you want included, and leave out the excluded values. You can use range of course!
    Then back on the report characteristic screen, enter you SET name and check the flag for entering sets. Select "no explode". With this option, if you ever need to change your Business transaction values, just change the SET and the report will query the updated values.
    If you use a report variant to carry out the same solution, just note that everytime you need to change the values, you have to change the variant, transport, and regenerate the report (assuming that you do not change enterprise level variants directly in production)

    I am successful in creating the transaction but is stuck as how to link my product to it.

    I need of Authorization Control for doing "Accept Quotation" business transaction in Service Order.
    Process goes as follows.
    Service Order created with Planned cost components with DIP Profile
    Service Quotation got created through DP80
    Then, Accept Quotation will be done in Service Order
    Release of Service Order
    Execution, Billing, etc.,
    Here, I want to control of doing "Accept Quotation" by only authorized people.
    I couldn't find any suitable Authorization Object under I_VORG_ORD under field BETRVORG.
    We can control that business transaction through User status. Is there any other standard object available to achieve this??

    Sorry, but I can't check at this client as we are not using CS processes.
    Try popping into debug mode using "/H" and put a break-point on "authority-check" before continuing.
    The program should now stop at all authorisation checks. See if any of these are suitable.
    If not, then you may need to use a user-exit or BADI.

    The leading business transaction category is merely a preference. For example, A transaction with the business transaction categories 'sales' and 'business activity' would be more likely to have 'sales' as a leading business transaction category than 'business activity'. In the locator for transaction processing, a transaction with this transaction type would be displayed as a sales transaction, not as a business activity. For example,When creating a business transaction type "standard order", you would choose Sales as a leading business transaction category. You could however also assign the business transaction category Activity.
