BusinessObjects XI 3.1 Designer 连接BW QUERY 问题?

请教一个问题：BusinessObjects XI 3.1 Designer 连接BW QUERY ，Designer 可以直接连接 BW 系统标准CUBE 0SD_C01 的QUERY，但是其它我自定义的CUBE 的QUERY却不能显示出来连接，这个是什么权限问题呢？如下图.

Hi Vamsi,
The structure from the base cubes will not automatically be available for the queries created on the multiprovider. The only way to get the structure there is to copy a query from the base cube to the multiprovider. You can use transaction RSZC to do this.

Hello Everyone,
I want you help in designing a query that involve OACT,OJDT,JDT1,OBGT and BGT1
Actually I want a report that shows accounts Budget quarterly and its expenditure quarterly as well..
Like shown below
Account Name
Budget from Jan to March
Budget from April to June
Budget from July to Sept
Budget from Oct to Dec
Expenditure from Jan to Mar
Expenditure from Apr to June
Expenditure from July to Sept
Expenditure from Oct to Dec
Parameters would be Fiscal Year and Date range and Account name
Can anyone please help me out in that one

Looking at the test data I have in these tables, it would appear impossible to join them all in one query without using UDFs...
They don't share any columns.

Designing LOV Query Problem

Hello APEX people,

What I have is a sequence like this:

What I need would be a SQL query returning all possible values oft my sequence like:

I want to use it as a source for a LOV...
The reason why I use the cycling sequence is: My app uses it to cycle scheduling priorities every month to groups identified by this number (1-7).
In the Admin Form, I want to restrict the assignment in a user friendly way - a LOV.

      what is the use of Report Designer and Query Designer.. and what is the difference between these two..
    I know about Analyser... that is used for designing a query and we can analyse (or) see the result of that query in that window....

Hi Ajay,
Report Designer is a newly added feature in BI 7. This helps to do cosmetic changes to the report, change the fonts, add colors etc. Please check this link for more info on Report designer.

Query Designer, is where you develop, edit your queries.
Analyzer, is where you execute the query and analyze the results.

How to design a query framwork

Hiiiiiiii,
Right now I am designing a query fram work in java & I need some suggestion to complete the work.
Main objective :
System will pas a query to the database with java and in user interfacewill show all the records of the table.
The query is unknown, suppose the given query has 30 column and 600 row.
In this case I have to show them in a maintained way(*column and it's corresponding row*) like we can see in TOD.
You can say I have to build a software for query which work like the TOD (Oracle ID).
N.B : I have already completed the portion of fetching records from the database.
Can you help me regarding this?

Can't load Print Layout Designer from Query Manager

Hi All,
I'm facing this issue when I try to load the Print Layout Designer from Query Manager.
I define my own query report and I need to change the layout for the report.
When I click on the print layout designer button is nothing happen. I've check the the RDOC table the report already created in the RDOC.
How do I call out the layout to customize it?
Please advice.

If i remember correctly you must use the menu at the top. Click tools->queries->query layout designer.

Design a Query Form to display a particular form's filed's properties

I need to design a Query form to see all the properties and its set values of each and every field (or may be any particular field) of any particular form.
So, is there any way to get the properties set and their values of a field?

You don't use a query for changing the properties in the property palette. You can set and read many (but not all) of the properties in the property pallette at runtime by using these built-ins:

The help documentation describes how to use these.
Let say you want to let the user change the color of the item. Then you can create a list item with the list of available colors, and create a button that implements the color. When the user clicks the button, it reads the color selected in the list box and changes to that color using the set_item_property.

How to design a query without using Net Weaver Query Designer

Does anyone know if any alternative way to <b>design an query without using Net weaver GUI</b>? in order to reduce the time consuming, I am wondering if there have any method which can define/modify a stack of cells, characteristics and structures without work through the GUI.

Just from what you write, I would assume that you talk about something like a mass-property-changer. As far as I know the BEx this is not really possible, but what I do normally is building one query and then either using query-views (saving more or less the navigation state) or by copying and changing the properties of the few characteristics and key figures.
But without a specific example it's difficult to exactly understand what you exactly need.

No, you have to select at least one.
Calculated keyfigure (CKF) means it's a formula of two or more other keyfigures. You can select, right-mouse click, display properties and you see how it is composed.
Under calculated keyfigures you see all available keyfigures of the infoprovider you build the query on. Just move them by drag-and drop from the left to the right into the columns.
You can have also restricted keyfigures (RKF). This means a keyfigure is restricted by one or more characterstics and their values.

Designer style query forms

In Designer WSGL it was a few clicks to set up a query form for emp where the user could enter a minimum and maximum hire date and use a multiselect box to pick departments and then the generated code would produce the necessary between and in clauses in the where.
Our users aren't used to typing "between" into a hire_ date field and typing "IN (10,20,30)" into a deptno query field is way outside their experience so I need to replicate this prior existing functionality. I've seen Duncan's LOV example code so I know how to do the UI for a multiselect box but I don't know how to bind multiple values. As far as I can tell I'm going to have to write custom form beans for every query screen and then write action code to transfer the data in the form bean into view criteria.
The query examples I've found all seem to be single-value string based, and I'm having trouble making the leap to more complex queries (like above). Is there a smarter (ie faster, simpler less code intensive) way to do this than the one I've outlined?

BI to Web connectivity: Query designer's query cannot display in IE

Hi all,
I have configured web connectivity and from SMICM if I type the URL in IE it prompts for user/password and connects to BI, however, from query designer if a query is published on web the URL will point towards standard sap.com at port 50100 and IE will display a broken link message.
After a bit of research I discovered that httpplugin.dll is missing from /usr/sap/sys/exe and there is no folder under /exe where the httpplugin.dll is expected to be.
Any suggestion, please.

Responsive Design media query question

Hello all, please forgive the elementary question. If I have the following css, are both of the images loaded on the smaller device or only the background image for the appropriate media query?

They're all loaded. The ones that get displayed depend on the user's viewport width.
