Bussiness Package

Hi
I've got a Business Package for Portal Users Release 50.5.1 in the costumers EP5.
I wonder if anyone could tell me if the same Business Package is available for EP6, I'm interrested in the part of email(read and unread).

There are no business packages for reading mails in EP6.
Youo can only send mails from EP6. But you can read mails in EP by configuring the thin mail client in EP e.g. Outlook Web Access.

Error while deploying the Bussiness package in CE 7.1 SP5

I am facing the problem while deploying the Bussiness package. The same bussiness package has been deployed on EP 7.0 using SDM. In CE 7.1 while deploying the package we are getting error. Please check the log.

I have checked all the services in NWA, they are all running fine but one of the service is not available com.sap.security.login-modules and also in the log file it is saying that nested exeception.
I am Basis consultant i couldnt able to get what is nested exception.
How to undeploy the packages?
In CE there is no SDM is there any alternative tool to undeploy and deploy the Packages like SDM other JSPM.
Please guide on this.

Hi,
You can undeploy using the IDE itself.
1. Go to Deploy perspective (Window>open perpective>other-->Deploy)
2. There u can select Deploy view or undeploy view.

How to identify order of RFC'S calling in a bussiness package component

My problem is to find out order of rfc's calling for bussiness package(ESS) component.......................i can't proceed to do modifications without knowing about order of rfc'c calling...............

Hi Rajesh,
To identify the order of RFC's calling in your application, you have look into CcAppl Component in ess/lea DC.
loadConfiguration() method in CcAppl performs the following actions
 Initializes member variables (especially the VACs and the perspectives)
 Defines the navigation graph
 Creates a list of all perspectives
In case of ess/lea, first perspective is perspCreateEdit.
Perspective perspCreateEdit = new Perspective(PERSP_CREATE_EDIT_NAME, Perspective.LAYOUT_ROW, new VAC[] { vacEdit, vacTeamView });
VAC vacEdit = new VAC(DC_NAME, VAC_FORMEDIT_PACKAGE);
public final static String VAC_FORMEDIT_PACKAGE =
 PACKAGE_PREFIX + "form.edit.VcFormEdit";
It means the first view is from VcFormEdit component, ie EditView.
In Edit view, Pt_Arq_Request_Prepare, Pt_Arq_Application_Create, Pt_Arq_Search_Next_Processor Function modules are calling to fill types of leave, Approver name,.....
This is the way to identify the order of calling function modules in application.

You can start with:

Quite a few of the CRM business packages are freely available; it depends on which one(s) you need to implment (e.g. channel management, professional services, business productivity pack, etc).

Hi Kristine,
If you're still not able to find your business package, you can try to use search functionality at pcd.
For example: If you've installed MSS and you can see from the documentation of the BP all the iViews it contains, you can try to search for iView named Change Address.. Just to give one example.
After your search returns you the iView you can chose option from right click menu "Locate from Portal catalog" and pcd will take you to the location where all the iViews are deployed.

hi,
you can find your imported BP in the following path.
Contentadmin->portalcontent->contentprovided by SAP->EnduserContent
it will be like com.sap.pct.ess.employee if it is a ESS BP.
Depending on the BP you can find it under
Contentadmin->portalcontent->contentprovided by SAP->Specalist also.

1) Download the Business Package for Employee Self Service (mySAP ERP 2004) from SDN using your SAP Service Marketplace ID.
(SDNPortal Content PortfolioBrowse Content PortfolioEvery UserSelf Service--Business Package for Employee Self Service (mySAP ERP 2004) 60.2)
2) Check the J2EE Version and Download the following Web Dynpro Development Components (patches) from service marketplace (Refer SAP Note 761266Self Service Patches to know the version to be downloaded):

CRM Bussiness Packages

Dear all,
I am new for CRM Bussines Packages.Can any one please tell me how to deploy CRM BP in the portal and how to configure with the backend systems.I am having EP 7.0 and CRM BP 5.0. I want to have a clear picture how to configure the BP in the Portal.
If a step by step procedure is explained will be greatful for me.
also please send me the docs if any one is having regarding this.

Check SAP Note: 731386 for details.
The Business Package for CRM is ZIP file containing the archive of type Software Component Archive (SCA) which has to be deployed using the Software Deployment Manager (SDM) .
1. Choose Add SCA/SDA to Deployment List. Choose Next.
2. The SDM determines the Deployment Action from the manifest data and displays the data in the archive list. The Repository Preview shows us how the SDAs are distributed in the SDM Repository. Choose Next.
3. The SDM tells us that it is ready for deployment. Choose Start. If an error occurs and you have to perform the deployment again, deployments that were successfully performed are not repeated.
4. A success message appears at the end of the deployment process. Choose Confirm to confirm the deployment.
5. Login into the Portal and check for the content in the Portal Content Directory
goto portal content -- content provided by sap -- specialist -- CRM

Bussiness Package for Project Self Service.

Dear Experts,
I have downloaded Business Package for Project Self Service and have downloaded it from service market place and imported it into portal. What are the other steps for configuration. I have searched the Help file but did not understand what further steps need to be performed.
Plz suggest what others steps needed to be performed, any wiki or step by step guide will do.

Error during deploying MDM 7.1 Sp02 bussiness packages in CE7.1 using JSPM

Hello,
I am facing error when i am trying to deploy following MDM sca file in CE7.1 using JSPM
1. BPMDMAPP02_115.sca
2. BPMDMTECH02_115.sca
I have already deployed following SCA file into CE7.1 successfully.
3 .MDMJAVAAPI02_59.sca (deployed success)
is it mandatory that all sca files should be at same path level?currently API is at 59 and App and tech are at 115 .
I am using CE7.1 trail version , i could not find out SDM to deploy sca files,so i am using JSPM to deploy sca files.

Hi,
Yes, all three should be compatible to MDM server and should be at same patch level.
But i think reason for your deployment error is different.
I found this in SAP note no 1281637
"MDM standard Portal content (iViews) are supported on SAP NetWeaver 2004 and SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s). At this time, there are no plans to migrate the content to be compatible to SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1.

Need to know the Business Package for CRM4.0 Sales in EP6.0

Hi experts,
We are trying to implement the CRM4.0 Sales business package in our EP6.0 environment( Our Backend R/3 is in 4.6B) . We would like to install complete package for the Sales module (The main (Top level) menus in the portal look like the following ==>
Activities.. Account Management ... Acquisition.. Sales .. Products.. Analysis..   Home.. R/3 Integration .. CRM integration .. APO integration..
Below every top level menus there are sub menus.. For example under Sales we would have the folliwng ( Overview.. Quotation.. Orders .. Contracts.. Billing Documents )
In the list of package from CRM (available in the SDN) the following looks like the currect one, can anybody advice please.
Business Package for SAP CRM 4.0     60.2.3   SAP AG   Unrestricted Shipment.
However, since we are only interested about the Sales Portion only can we choose to import content that is relevant only to the CRM SALES as well as CRM SALES analytics and not anything else? If it's possible the what is the procedure? If not then I assume that we will have to import the entire content and activate only the portion that we need. Please advice.

Hi Arun,
When u download and apply a busiiness pacakge u will get the complete package.
After appling the bussiness package u will get a report showing whcih all roles worksets etc are added to the portal. And also In portal contants there will be a folder created. There u can see the roles , worksets pages iviews etc.
You can edit the role and put the desired iviews or pages according to u r demand.

Read the log file(generated after importing the BP) it will give u all the information abt the contents that are uploaded to the portal server.

Business package for Learning ?

Hi All,
We are using Portal 7.0. Upgraded 4.6c to ECC 6.0. We are implementing ESS/MSS portal. Deployed the mySAPERP 2005 Business package.
But, still we are unable to find the iview, pages worksets related to Career and training (like - pre booking the training events, cancel the events, providing feedback on training activity etc.,)
I heard there is seperate bussiness packge for Career and training which we need to deploy it from portal side ?
Can any body explain me how to deploy this Bussiness package for learning ?
What all this bussiness package can it do after deployment from portal sides ?
Also, since we are using ECC 6.0 (LSo installed) which provides the BSP applications to run it on the web for training events (through ITS). How to call these BSP's into Portal 7.0 ?
Little confused how to proceed with this activity. Please, shade some info regarding the same.
Any help in this regards would be highly appreciated. points assured.

There is a seprate learning content in availble for download. That conatains the learner's role.
SAP advises to upload this package and assing the role.
But if you want to know about the bsp application then the name of the application is hcm_learning and you will need a lot of config for the same in R/3 if you want to modify the BSP application then it can be done very easily throught BSP and R/3 config.
you need to provide specific requirements with reference to modifications.
