Bussiness Rule Change
Hi All,
I need to Update the business rule for Texas creditor garnishments:
<b>Present Rule :</b> Lesser of 15% of gross income or the amount by which disposable earnings for a week exceed 45 times the federal minimum wage.
<b>
To Be Changed To :</b> Lesser of 15% of gross income or the amount by which disposable earnings for a week exceed 45 times the federal minimum wage or 45 times the state of TX minimum wage.
This is kind of urgent any kind of help is really appreciated.
Thank You.
Hi San,
It seems you already had the model and you only wants to change the Non -Exempt amount
This is already suggested by Mr Arun.
<b> include either 45 times the federal minimum wage or 45 times the state of TX minimum wage</b>
It is just a logic and you want to implement it.
Now is there anything else.
use IMG and do it .
Test it.
If still any problem , pls reply.

Is there a way to capture territory rule changes?
Hello experts,
I need to capture the change log/change history of changes of the Territory rules.
Like if Valid To is changed, then what was the previous value existing for the field.
Is there any way to capture this? Kindly suggest.
Regards.
DevashishPlease check whether rule changes are captured in standard table crmd_terrman_log
Note: A class CL_CRM_TERRMAN_LOG_API can be used to do it, This class writes to the CRM table: CRMD_TERRMAN_LOG ( table to log the info required for master data notification) and it has the following methods:
READ_ALL
WRITE
CLEAR
DELETE
UPDATE

Dynamic agent rule changement during approval steps
Hi gurus,
my question is based on a customer requirement.
they want a n-step approval with dynamic agent determination: fine.
then they want to maintain the substitutes: fine as well.
But what they want to do is to change the workflow path based on the substitute.
I mean: if the first aprover has set a substitute the first task goes to the substitute, but the following tasks have to follow the substitute hierarchy and not the original workflow path.
So we don't think the standard system way to use the substitute is not enough, but we need to determinate in the beginning if a substitute was set for some approvers.
The thing is that the substitute record is dynamic and has a validity end, and could be set after the workflow is started.
Is it possible at every step recalculate the workflow path and the next approvers (so to discover if a substitute rule has be changed or created or deleted)?
PS: we are using SRM 7.0 and the process controlled workflow.
Thank you very much in advance!
Regards,
MariaHi Maria
I mean today the workflow starts and the system calculates the path based on the substitute rules active.
OK with that.
But what if the substitute rule change tomorrow?
How you are saying the substitute rule change tomorrow?. You should not assume it. You should confirm it. You cannot implement a work flow for tomorrow's requirement. Always there will be a change even if you implement for tomorrows change. Never do that. Do only for today's requirement.
My question is if it's possible to every step of the work flow change the agents.
I feel that this approach is wrong. simple view i will give u to thing. take only 2 steps
loop.
1) for determining the approver based on business logic in one method.
2) use the expression in the user decision step and send the work item for approval
endloop.
This i have explained for simple logic, create you own logic and apply on loop and endloop. It will work.

View Message with ADFBC Bussiness Rules
Hi,
I am working with SOA ADFBC and Bussiness Rules and I developed the example set by oracle but I need to know how to display the message contained in my Class Message_Action on my website.
Thanks for your help.Hi vicente
¿¿Mi first question is: when I have to call this .lgf???
You call it when if you need to run it! as simple as that!
¿¿¿is automaticlly invocated when datas are sent to the server and when I execute "Data Manager package " such as I see in the manual?????
It can be called automatically if you put it in the default logic
OR
You can call it "manually" in running a data manager package
"what is Data Manager package "??
simple answer: A data manager package is used to call logics.
(you can tweak it in going into excel in Edata > organize package list) I think i wrote a post how to do this...
By default there are many packages running ligics thats "clears data", "copy data", move data"....
What is the business rules library? ( I have a vocabulary problem
I can use MDX or SQL to script logic???? for what??? script logic are not the fields which call files.lgf????
Yes you can use MDX or SQL logic. Even is MDX not advised.
You can do many data transformation with this!
script logics are stored as LGF files in the system and then turn (when validated) in LGX. Do a search on yoru server to look for those files... but dont touch them if you dont know what they mean...
Hope this helps

Update Rules changes from 1 ODS to another disappear upon activation
Dear Experts,
We have encountered a situation whereby we have an update rule from ODS feeding a field update to another ODS.
This update rule change works correctly as I have debugged it and you can see the resultant changed in the new (40) table. But upon activating this change, the field change disappears.
Can anyone provide an explaination and how I can go about fixing this ?
Thanks
CraigHi,
If the data source support deltas and we load the data into ODS then the update type for the keyfig. Amount and the quanty always Choose as "Addition" .So you change the update type for that KF as Addition .
Thanks & regards,

Checkpoint rule changes using csmars
is it possible to see what rule changes were done on a checkpoint ngx firewall using csmars.
e.g. what rule was changed, added, deleted
ThanksI am afraid that your question is confusing. MARS is not supposed to change the rules on any particular firewall weather its checkpoint, netscreen, pix or ASA. All you can do or find is, what rule was triggered on MARS based on a syslog message from that particular device.
MARS is sort of a passive device (until configured it for automatic mitigation, which by far till now is useless :( ) which collects the messages from all the devices in the network in the form of syslogs, correlates all the events to form sessions and presents them for rule inspection. If any of the session triggers a default of user made rules, it generate an incident.
Do let me know if i got your question wrong, otherwise plz rate if its helpful.

http://blog.cartweaver.comYeah, it's not the kind of thing you want to have thrown at you, but neither is it a big surprise. With gift cards, and rebate cards like Verizon issues becoming more popular, there's going to be an increasing need to be able to do this sort of thing, so might as well dive in, program for it and be prepared to serve our clients. eCommerce is a continually moving target, and I see it as my job to stay up with it. Hello,
I'm using GW2014
GroupWise Agent Build Version 14.0.1 -118328
GroupWise Agent Build Date 11-09-14
GroupWise Resource Build Date 10-07-14
I'm able to enable/disable a rule with modifyItemRequest.
If I want to change the sequence number of a rule, then a modifyItemRequest or a modifyItemsRequest for all rules who's sequences are changed do not work.
Is the only solution to delete and recreate all the changed rules again? (in the correct order?)
HansHello Preston,
Previous post should have been a reply to the Peek mode.
I found the problem. I assumed the sequence number was always an ascending number, but I found that rules can have the same sequence number.
I just decremented the sequence number for the Rule I wanted to move one place up (like the GW-client rule window), the new sequence number was still larger than the sequence number of the rule above so "nothing" changed. I will have to rewrite that routine.

I didn't have a problem just changing the sequence number of a rule.
If you want to change all sequence numbers, you will have to change all the
rules affected.

Applying p5665750_10131_GENERIC.zip doesnt solve the rules change problem
Hi,
Please suggest a solution to the below problem.
Initial problem : whenever user changed rules in rules repository(WebDAV repository) they are not getting reflected in the BPEL process which contains decision service.
Solution : redeploying the BPEL process or restarting SOA suite will affect BPEL process with the changes in rules repository.
But we need to solve the above problem without redeploying the BPEL process. For this we have been provided a patch (p5665750_10131_GENERIC.zip)
Installation of above patch
%soa_home%opmn\bin>Opmnctl stopall
Then I installed the patch.
And restart the SOA suite
%soa_home%opmn\bin>Opmnctl startall
Now when I am trying to access the application I am getting Promotion Status as null and the following is the stack trace of the error

07/04/27 18:39:14 pFaultMessage is [email protected]9 name:operationErroredFault
07/04/27 18:39:14 QName string is operationErroredFaultHi everybody,
Wondering if we could categorize a little bit so that we can put together some kind of tech-note. So far i have seen the following errors:
1. Something along
at line 3 column 1 in main
Caused by: FactClassException: fact class for 'loanoffer.LoanApplicationType' should be declared earlier in rule session
at line 3 column 1 in main
This one is usually caused by a RL function having above fact class as one
of its parameters. The workaround to avoid this is either use 'loanoffer.LoanApplication' as the parameter type or enable 'assertXPath' for the fact 'loanoffer.LoanApplicationType'.
2. Something like (see above)
<2007-04-27 18:39:14,928> <ERROR> <oracle.bpel.services> <::> Internal error: Function assert-object: error in call: Jess reported an error in routine DefinstanceList.definstance
while executing (assert-object duvalCounty.StudentImpl@795486).
Message: Object is not instance of duvalCounty.StudentImpl.Jess reported an error in routine DefinstanceList.definstance
while executing (assert-object duvalCounty.StudentImpl@795486).
This usually indicates a classloader issue in the decision service itself and it can
happen if you put the fact class files into some directory which is in the classpath
of BPEL PM (like ?/bpel/system/classes)
I'm following up with "soruganti" on the second issue (the one originally posted)
and we'll post the outcome here.
Juan: Can you confirm that the issue you're seeing is one of above (1.) or (2.) ?
Any stack trace available ?
Nevertheless i'm sure it is somehow unrelated to patch p5665750.

After converting a Word DOC to PDF units on ruler change to points
Everytime I convert a Word (Office 2003) document into PDF using Adobe Acrobat 7.1.0 the units on the ruler under the tool bars convert themselves from centimeters to points. So I have to change it back in Tools. It's no big deal, but I'd be most grateful to anyone with an idea how this can be prevented.
ktomica,
The link Mike provides is to Adobe's "official" Acrobat updates location.
Because you are in 7.1.0 you'd need to process each version 7 update past 7.1.0 in sequence.
Do this sequence: 7.1.1 update the 7.1.2 then 7.1.3 then 7.1.4.

Internal order "settlement rule" change
Dear Gurus,
I would like to change "settlement rule" in internal oder which has been used since go-live under ECC6.0.
I go to KO02, keyin 'order number' ,enter and click on "settlement rule" button to update.
but profitability segment line just display mode not changeable.
How can i update settlement rule in KO02?
kr,
J.once you settle an order with a settlement rule you cannot change the rule no more.
But you can create a new settlement rule.
First double click on the settlement rule you are currently using and for the "validity from field" give the last period. so this rule wont be in use anymore.
than create a new rule.
after these steps when you run the settlement, system will pick up the new rule you created.
