  • Web pages are printed incorrectly, i.e. left side of page in p.1, right side on page 2. This started recently. Correct printer is identified.

Firefox recently updated. Now, printing a web page results in left side printed on p.1, right side on page 2. Using the same Canon D9000 printer. Selecting horizontal format causes the left side of page to be printed 1/2 size on 1/4 page! Printing same web page with IE is OK. Printing from MS`Word is OK.

All web pages? Or just some? Example of a page where that happens?
Do those pages have '''Frames'''? <br />IOW, is the '''Print Frames''' section in the print dialog available (not greyed-out) for selecting '''''Each frame separately'''''?
If that isn't a Frames issue, my advice is to do the '''reset''' described here. <br />
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages#Reset_printer <br />Make sure you reset all the prefs for that particular printer.

    Hello elliegilles,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Have you just changed a toner in the printer and now the issue is present? I suggest the steps offered here: Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues, mainly the align and cleaning.
Also, would it be possible to upload a scanned image so I can see these red marks?
    Thanks,

  • The close button and right side scroll bar are gone, if I minimize the screen I can see them.

Looking at my screen, the firefox home page & all other websites I bring up, my right side of the screen (where the close X button is and scroll bar is lost behind that side of the screen.
Looking at my screen, I cannot see the right side of my screen where the X(close button), search button, scroll bar should be.
When I minimize the screen to a smaller version, I can see the whole page screen, X button, scroll, everything on the right side?

  • How do i permanetly move restart button to right side on 4.1 TenFourFox?

I am running Tiger,OSX,10.4.11,PPC on my G4PB and made the switch from FF 3.6.16 to TenFourFox. Its great but im trying to reset everything, back to normal or close to it,was before switch. The restart button is on the right side now at the end of search window. I've moved it back to the left side where i want it but on restart it returns back on the right end again and i cant find a way to permanetly move it so it will stay where i put it!!

For those who are switching to TenFourFox 7450,4.1 running,Tiger OSX,10.4.11,PPC. Great version for G3,G4,powerbook,PPC users. This problem has been resolved by me upgrading my restart button app addon for 4.1.This app puts a restart button on your toolbar,to restart Firefox, not the reload button, which is something different, for those of you who are confused. The restart button app restarts FF and it worked well with,3.6.16. But after switching to 4.1,it became incompatible. So i had to find another restart app which is the present one im using now. Mozilla hadn't posted their updated version for that app on firefox yet.I had to do a google search and download the new version app from the app designers website. It wasn't posted as a new version yet at ff because of the waiting Mozilla makes you go through before they can test & reviews it! Just bad timing on my part,i guess! Story of my life. Thanks people.Later.

  • M1319F MFP printing errors - line on right side of page

I've had HP LaserJet M1319f MFP about 1.5 yrs.   Last week, it began putting a page-length, thin line on right side of every copy. Line is slanted, about 1/4" from the side, and gradually becoming 1/2" from the side at the bottom of an 8 1/2 x 11 pg.  I ran pre-moistened laser printer cleaning paper through, same line on the cleaning paper.  I cleaned the scanner glass inside.  I removed the brand-new genuine HP laser toner cartridge,I cleaned it, reinserted the cartridge, made a copy, same line appeared on paper.  I removed the cartridge and replaced with a new cartridge.  I made a copy, same thin line appeared on copy.  This happens with copies only, not with scans or printouts.

  • Print booklet truncates right side of page in Snow Leopard

I'm trying to upgrade to Snow Leopard, but my InDesign booklets clip the right side of a spread at 8-1/2 inches. I'm using an 8-1/2 x 11 paper size, landscape, with InDesign pages 8-1/2" tall and 5-1/2" wide.  The booklets print fine in system 10.5.
I can print regular landscape pages fine. It's just the Print Booklet output. The Preview shows it as being correct.
I thought it was my 10 year old Laserjet, but I just installed a new Laserjet and it has the same problem.
I thought it was a problem with InDesign CS3, but I just downloaded a trial of CS5 and it has the same problem.

    Hi writingnorth,
Is that the right hand side of the page after removing it from the printer?
Is the text on that side missing or is it compressed?
Does the printer show any error messages?
Also, please try the printhead clean to see what happens.

I have once instlled a kind of antivirus, but i have removed it from programs to trash.
    Gotcha, Bingo, Bazinga!
Moving the antivirus to trash does not delete or disable some parts of the application.
How to remove the remaining parts of the application depends on the application as the different AV-Systems place there parts at different places and use different preference files.
At first check if the AV is still listed in the startup items (System Settings - Accounts - your account - startup items) and remove them from that list.

  • Printing Docs - how to get rid of 3 inch wasted space on right side of page

I tried to print out : Communicating With Objects
    http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/CocoaFunda mentals/CommunicatingWithObjects/CommunicateWithObjects.html
After trying several different settings and printed only the first page until I got the print more or less the way I wanted it, however...
I have a standard HP Color Laserjet 2600n, looked at all the printing preferences, and all four margins are set at (.25 inch), yet when the pages print out there are about 2.5 inches of wasted space on the left side. The space is there for the Table of Contents, but there is nothing printed there, the space is blank.
So I clicked on the Table of Contents header, so the TOC became hidden and the window only contained the text and images, then when I tried to print, I found that now there were about 3 inches of white space on each page on the right hand side. This is somewhere around a 40% waste in paper, trees, etc.
One would think that expensive as printing is, there would be a way to save paper by optimizing coverage on each page as much as possible.
Another curious thing is that the size of the text on the screen is easy to read at Safari normal (default) settings, yet when the first page is printed the text is really small.
In order to get the size of the print on the paper to be easily readable, I had to click on the large [a][A] at the top of the Safari window twice (+ 2 sizes). The text on the window was fairly large, but the print became easy to read. There was still an excessive amount of wasted space, which just goes against the grain...
Does anybody have a clue how to get rid of all the wasted space on each page ? There has to a simple way, this is 2010 and we've been doing this for 25+ years now.
I am sure it is something simple that I am overlooking ? I'd be grateful for any help.
    Thank You,

  • Slider button on right side diappeared after 6.0.2 update.

After letting Firefox update to 6.0.2, the slider button on bar at right of browser has disappeared. THe arrows appear when you roll cursor over the top or bottom, but button has vanished. Not an insurmountable problem, but still awkward as you have to use direction keys or guess where button might be on bar.

  • Any way to resize the "text" toolbar on the right side of the Pages app?

I'm a pretty recent convert to Macs. I've been using a PC for a long time, so most of my experience with word processors is with Microsoft Word. I like that Word allows you to edit your files in a 'Print View' layout, which lets you see the entirety of the document. Unfortunately, Pages seems to not permit this view. Is there a way to diminish the size of the "text" toolbar (right side) in Pages so that the user can see a 'print view' of the document?
    Thanks a lot.

Pages is permanently in "Print View", What You See Is What You Get.
The scale of the document is set by the percentage menu top left of the Toolbar on the window
The Format side panel is fixed in width.
Your problem really is that the screen on your Macbook Air is relavely small and the Format sidebar in Pages 5 is permanently large. You can hide the Format panel by clicking on the Paintbrush or Document icon, depending on which is already selected.
On my iMac 27" I have plenty of room to see a 150% view of a page with the Format panel showing, but obviously on your small screen this is not possible. You very likely would need to view the page at 75% or less.
