Button image issues

Im having issues with button images in captivate 4, after designing buttons in photoshop then saving them as PNG's and putting them in the buttons folder. When i apply these buttons to a slide the button images are missing parts and look bad.. any suggestions?, please help.

Hi there
I believe Captivate uses the color value of the pixel in position 0, 0 to determine the transparent color for the button image. You need to ensure you are using a unique color for that location. What you posted seems to infer that you have a color being rendered as transparent and the color is used in other places in the image.

  • RMS form Button image issue

    On RMS forms Button image is not coming. I think this is some confguration issue but i am not able to locate the configuration file which is responsible for this issue.

    I think this is a better way to implement your UI:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">
      <mx:Spacer height="2%"/>

              <mx:ComboBox id="accCombo" />

    thx.Standard button has problems with images due to a JSF issue. To work around the issue, remove leading / from the buttons image property and re-deploy. This should cause the standard button image to display correctly.
    Hope it helps,

  • Onmouseover for button images

    I am using images for my buttons. In the attribute section/ image attributes of the button properties I have:
    #APP_IMAGES#addrow1.gif
    I want to change the image when the user mouse over.
    I tried adding: onmouseover="this.src='/i/htmldb/addrow2.gif';" to the image, and copying the image files to the /i/ folder, but it doesn't work. How can I toggle the button image with mouseover?

    hi,
    thanks for reply. How do I post a link do I need to upload it to a server somewhere?
    I sort of got it to work in the end. When I applied onClick or onMouseDown it always applies a second onMouseOver so then I right-click the second onMouseOver in the Beahviors palette and choose onClick from dropdown menu, this seems to fix it.
    Though there is still 1 thing puzzling me. Is it possible to get the onClick image or "hit" button state to restore to original image as soon as user releases mouse button rather than when pointer rolls off the button. Only a very minor detail and not really an issue. Just would look slightly slicker if the "hit" state was a brief flash or pulse.
    cheers

  • Widget/Button image

    Hello,
    I have a problem with Button Widget. I decided to insert a rollover slidelet and on this slidelet I would like to have a button. The only way to insert button is to insert Widget and than select a button. I did it and now I would like to change the layout/view/image whatever u name it. Instead of it I have sth like this:
    I don't fully understand what does published folder mean.
    I hope u understad all

    Hello,
    If you do not like the images already provided with the Button widget, you can choose your image. But when publishing the CP-file to SWF (with its companion files HTML and JS) you will have to add the button image file to the same folder and upload all files in the folder to the LMS. The path to this button is a relative path.

  • Button Images are not shown

    Dear All,
    In one of our test instance, some button images are not shown, whereas some are.
    They are shown as grey button.
    I searched metalink, according to them patch 1238573 should be installed, which is already installed.
    What could be the reason?
    Also, is there any way to find out which images are missing?
    Regards,
    Ashish Shah

    Hi
    I've seen this happen a few times. The solution is usually to synchronise something called 'the X-Server' with the middle tier. I'm afraid that the technology is over my head, but it does work!
    The X-Server controls how images are rendered in the e-Business Suite. Your DBA should know what this is and it's a simple matter of stopping and restrating the X-server.
    That should do the trick!

  • Bug or feature? Button images prefixed with /i/

    Dear all -
    Several people have noticed that button images get prefixed with /i/, so that if you use #IMAGE_PREFIX#image.gif then the source reads /i//i/image.gif (and of course the image isn't displayed). Admittedly I can't prove that right now because, oddly, IE refuses to show source at all and FF always shows the P101 source when I use #IMAGE_PREFIX#.
    We were hoping to use a substitution string for the path so that we can pick up a file from the filesystem, but all we get is /i/&MY_IMAGES.image.gif. The substitution string works fine in the templates and elsewhere.
    #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# still works.
    However, my question is: is this intended behaviour or a bug?
    Many thanks,
    John.

    Hi Carl -
    Button Image Attributes:
    Style = Image
    Image = <our substitution string>image.gif
    (well, that's what we'd like anyway - currently we have:
    Image = #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#image.gif)
    Many thanks.
    And, incidentally, many thanks for fixing that DHTML sublist bug in 2.2 - much appreciated.
    Regards,
    John.

  • Actions menu wheel image and Go button image

    Hello ,
    In APEX 4 Interactive Reports, the actions menu wheel image and the go button are coming as html buttons instead of the wheel image and go button image.
    Is there a way I can rever to the old wheel img and go button .
    Thanks,
    Dippy

    Within the IR, under Search Bar, you can set Actions Menu Image to '/i/ws/action_32x24.gif' - this is the green wheel but does not have little arrow. I will contact our image guru and see if the old one is sitting somewhere. As for 'Go', this does not support an image but you can change the word if you need to (using Search Button Label) and set a button template to match your application.

  • Can you change toolbar button images in SQL Server 2012?

    In SQL Server 2012 management studio I do not see an option to change the button image of the buttons on the toolbar.
    In previous versions of SQL, you could go to Tools --> Customize --> Rearrange Commands, select the toolbar, click on a command and then click "Modify Selection". One of the resulting choices was "Change Button Image". You could
    choose a different image for the toolbar button you selected. Another choice was "Edit Button Image" which allowed you to create a completely new image for your toolbar button.
    I do not see any way to do this in SQL Server 2012. Has this functionality been removed or am I just not finding it?
    Thanks,
    Alan

    Hi Alan,
    Based on your description, I make a test in SQL Server 2012, and I also find that there is no option to change button image or edit button image when customizing toolbar. It seems that the functionality has been changed from SQL Server 2012.
    Therefore, If you concern about this feature, I recommend you submit the requirement at
    https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/ .  If the requirement mentioned by customers for many times, the product team may consider to add this feature. Your feedback is valuable for us to improve
    our products and increase the level of service provided.

  • Custom button images

    Hello all,
    In CP 1, I was able to 'easily' (compared to now) create
    custom button images in fireworks then import and set their states
    (up, down, over, . .). Now, it seems to be a much more tedious
    process, and I still haven't got it to work. According to the
    documentation - you now have to use .bmps, then save the img states
    in a certain naming convention, then save them in a particular
    directory! No more browse function for each image state?!?!.
    Furthermore, you can only select 1 image - and this 1 image becomes
    becomes the image for up, down, over, etc. even though I used the
    documented naming convention 'style-preview.bmp',
    'style-playbuttonup.bmp', 'style-playbuttondown.bmp'. I must be
    missing something - it cannot be this tedious to use your own
    custom created buttons. Anyone using their own buttons with up,
    down, and over states?? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Thanks very much for this information. I'm now able to create
    navigation tabs out of custom buttons. This was much easier than
    the design template for tabs on the Captivate Exchange (
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&loc=en_us&extid=1049 430).
    I opened one of Captivate's buttons (.bmp) from the Buttons folder
    in the Gallery folder (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate
    2\Gallery\Buttons) into Adobe Photoshop, then I modified the
    background and font color, saved it back into the button folder
    with the naming conventions listed here. I then copied all the
    buttons as a group against a background image on every slide. The
    over, up, and down states are inherent in the buttons when you use
    the naming conventions. I'm sure it will be easy to create the tab
    shape to look like navigation tabs.
    I found some great samples here:

  • Apex 4 - Bug - Button image automatically adding /i/ at the beginning

    Hi,
    APEX generates a /i/ at the beginning of the image path if you don't start your input value with a slash (*/*).
    Steps to reproduce the bug
    -Create a regular button.
    -Modify the button properties (attributes)
    -Set Button Style to image
    -Set Button Image to *&A_APP_FOLDR.icon_editn.png* (should render: /res/app01/images/icon_editn.png)
    The result is: <img border="0" alt="Éditer" src="*/i//res/saf/icon_editn.png*">
    Notice the */i/* at the beginning.
    Now, if I do the same but I add a slash before my bind variable.
    -Set Button Image to */&A_APP_FOLDR.icon_editn.png*
    The result is: <img border="0" alt="Éditer" src="*//res/saf/icon_editn.png*">
    I know how to workaround this one. ;) But I am looking for a permanent fix.
    Thanks in advance to the APEX dev team for the proper correction.

    This workaround seems to work for region buttons but not for item buttons. Item buttons still have the /i/ prepended to them.
