Button mysteriously disappears upon burn

Hello,
I am making a basic DVD using all DVDSP buttons. For some reason, one of the buttons disappears when I burn the disc. I can see it and it behaves normally in the simulator but when I put in the burned disc, I can't see it or access it anymore.
Also, as I've been trying to figure this out, I've even deleted the button and added a new one to replace it. Still can't see it.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you running the Universal Binary Studio?
Try changing DVDSP Menu Encoding Preferences from Hardware based to Software based or vice versa and build your project again.

Taskbar buttons are disappearing

Several times in the past couple of weeks, taskbar buttons have mysteriously disappeared. This is apparently XP, where the buttons are rectangular, and each one represents a web site. On another site, I was advised to use Alt-Tab, and that usually helped, but once, it would only allow me to go to the two windows whose buttons were there. The missing buttons mysteriously reappeared in most cases (usually on the right, regardless of where they had been before) , or at least the windows were still there when I clicked on the red X in the upper right corner for the rest.
One clue is that when an ad was slow to come up on the screen--an ad which only supported the web site I was looking at, but was not what I intended to look at--I would switch to another window and then the button for the window I had been on disappeared. I have also seen the button disappear when a site froze, even if it wasn't for a very long time. This also happened on a computer with IE7, but mainly when the site had frozen permanently. I also lost the button for a window I had been on when a popup ad came up.
On another site I was asked if this was taskbar grouping. It was not. Each button represents an individual window. Sometimes there are multiple tabs, but I try to avoid letting that happen.
I could not follow some of the advice given because this computer is at a library. The person who was in charge of the library's computers did not know what was going on.

I forgot how to come here Saturday but I posted this on another site:
I got on the computer about 30 minutes ago. It was the first time it had been turned on all day, but the Internet was already up and I just typed in the site I wanted to go to. The Internet was very, very slow. The button on the taskbar eventually disappeared but the window was still there. The site required me to select a sponsor before I could continue. The sponsor's ad came up as a popup (but very slowly to begin with, with just the blue border and the name of the site, the minimize button, the maximize button, and the red X at the top), with the toolbar so I could type in a new address. At that point, the taskbar button for the popup ad appeared, and so did the button for where I had been, but on the right instead of the left, which would be normal. No problems since then.
My responses on Monday on that other site to a response by someone who claimed none of that was a problem:
Firefox, not Explorer. And whoever was here and turned everything on must have clicked on the Firefox button. It was 12:59 and the library was supposed to open at 1:00. Nothing that happened during those first 10 minutes was "normal".
Well, it just quit. It said "Firefox is sorry" but they didn't tell me how I could get a copy of this report that will be sent. And it destroyed the stuff I had saved. Oh, sure, they act like they're doing me a great big favor by restoring the session. But the email is GONE.
It would be great if I could see what happened, and maybe it would be a clue to what's going on with the buttons.

Button should disappear permanently

I would greatly appreciate your help with the following question:
I'm currently preparing a training, which will be placed in our company's LMS. In this training, I placed a button on a non-quiz slide, which must be clicked in order to complete the training as it is one of the required "quiz points" for the successful completion of the training (so this button has quiz properties, although it is not on a quiz slide). After being clicked, this button should disappear and the caption that appears as a result should stay permanently on the slide. This button is not a quiz question per se, but rather a confirmation of completion and agreement (which is important for reporting purposes).
The problem is that because this is not a quiz slide, this information does not stay permanently on the slide if users leave the slide while navigating through the training, or if the training is closed and then re-opened. Quiz slides, however, continue to show the submitted answers and captions - and this is what I would like to happen on my slide.
Is there a way to have the button permanently disappear once it is clicked, and the caption stay permanently, so that the user (while navigating through the training, or when re-opening the training) can no longer make any changes to this slide and see immediately the caption, which states that the button has already been clicked?

Concerning the second part of my question (button disappearing permanently and caption remaining permanently when coming back for a second session): the problem is that this slide cannot be quiz slide, because it has to be formatted a certain way (which is not possible on a quiz slide), but I need the actions on the slide (upon clicking button, button disappears and caption permanently pops-up) to be irreversible. Do you know of a work-around for this?

Navionics app mysteriously disappeared from my iPhone

I purchased Navionics and downloaded on my PC and sync'd across to my iPhone3. After a couple of months it mysteriously disappeared from my iPhone and would not sync back from laptop. I have since purchased another laptop and, in desperation REpurchased another copy of Navionics. It is sitting in iTunes along with all the other (free) apps I have downloaded, but will not sync over. Also the "Sync" command only seems to be syncing 1 thing and is not updating bookmarks etc. What's going on? Any suggestions appreciated!

Sorry cannot help. I have Navionics on ipad2 purchased using my new iTunes account, but now I cannot update it because whenever I press update button, a pop-up of old account will appear and prevent me from updating. It is really annoying and disappointing.

Getting an object to disappear upon click.

I'm new to flash, just simply using catalyst to make a video player to import into my iweb site. I have a play button in the middle of the video area (changes upon rollover), and I want to get it to where on click the play button disappears so that its not blocking view of the video. Sort of like this...

note that when you click the play button it disappears and controls for the video appear below the video player. Can someone help me with this whole concept. If possible could it be where if they hit pause in the bottom controls (what you would see at the bottom on the normal flash players) to have the play button reappear in the center of the player.

Click on the box symbol with an arrowhead at the bottom left of the iTunes window (it's the fourth symbol from the left) to show or hide the artwork window. Click on the title bar of the artwork window to toggle between "Now playing" and "Selected item".

External hard drive mysteriously disappeared.

My external hard drive (Firewire) mysteriously disappeared. I can get it to pop up in Disk Utility, but I can't get it to show on the desktop. I've tried it on a few Mac computers. Do you have any idea what happened?

That's very strange. I don't think I've heard of DU exhibiting that behavior before.
I presume the reason you don't want to erase the drive is that there is un-backed-up data on it, and that if you could recover that data you could either reformat (erase) or dispose of the drive.
You may want to try downloading and using the free demo version of one or more of these data recovery utilities:
Data Rescue II
FileSalvage
VirtualLab
In each case, the demo will show you what files the full version would be able to recover from the drive. You can then decide whether the files you could recover are valuable enough to justify buying the full version of the utility.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.

Services for object buttons randomly disappearing from FB03

Hello SAP Experts,
We display an FI document via tcode FB03 (Display Document) and use the "services for object" buttons to attach documents via the "create attachment" button and also to view attached documents via the "attachment list" button.
However, quite often when displaying the FI document after a document has been attached, the "services for objects" buttons are not displayed. Just a blank toolbar appears.
Later on the when the FI document is displayed again via tcode FB03 (Display Document), the "services for objects" buttons do appear and the attachments can then be displayed.
As the attachments can be viewed sometimes, I would say that this issue is not related to security.
Any idea's what maybe causing the "services for objects" buttons randomly disappearing???

I saturated all the available iPad (3rd. generation) screen space (home screens or desktop space) with apps, and the apps that got bumped out of the last screen, mysteriously disappeared? Where are those missing quick lauch app icons?

Running my 3rd generation iPad on iOS 7.0.4, I saturated all the available iPad screen space (which would be the 15 home screens or desktop worth of space) with apps, and the apps that got bumped out of the last screen space mysteriously disappeared. Where are those missing quick lauch app icons now? The apps are still installed and can be searched/accessed through the finder, but they no longer have a user friendly access. How can I solve this problem?

Oh and Meg offered the right answer. Put your Apps in Folders, which will create extra space for the apps which have disappeared.

I have installed Firefox 4 but the "New Tab" button has disappeared. I have searched toolbars etc. but can't see it. Any ideas, please?

My "New Tab" button has disappeared off the toolbar. I have searched the toolbar menus and "Customise Toolbar" but it's just not there. Back, Forward, Stop and Reload buttons are all there.

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar. 
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions. 
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible to the left of it. 
*If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" 
*If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar 
*If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Imovie 3.0.3 edit buttons have disappeared, how do I get them back?

I am trying frantically to finish a project for work and when I opened imovie this afternoon after working with it all morning, my edit buttons have disappeared. I can view the movie but have no way to add clips, audio, etc. without the buttons. This happened once before, right after I updated my OS to Tiger 10.4.9. When I spoke with AppleCare, I believe they had me rebuild my preferences folder. It been awhile and I did not write the steps down. Can anyone help me with this?

I can longer find the airplay icon on my iPad when I double click the home icon. It worked fine and i used it for a couple of weeks to mirror with the Apple TV and then it mysteriously disappeared. Now when I double click and slide the icons at the bottom to far left, instead of finding airplay there is an extra music icon and a music control panel. If I open up the music app, there is an airplay icon top right next to volume control which works fine with mirroring the Apple TV, which suggests to me wi-if and networks are fine. I can only mirror music however. Any ideas anyone?

My "edit playlist" button has disappeared!

Recently, my "edit playlist" button has disappeared all together when I right-click a playlist. I do know how to manually add to a playlist, but it's inconvenient. It's there when I click File, but I can't click on it. I've tried calling Apple, but of course, they wanted to charge me. I tried uninstalling iTunes, but it didn't help. I would very much appreciate any help on this matter. Thanks.

I'm slightly confused by your problem.
The only "edit playlist" option is to Edit Smart Playlist, which allows you to change the rules for Smart Playlists, but that does not allow you to add or remove individual songs. Here's a screenshot of the different Playlist types:
To edit a Regular Playlist, simply drag the songs you want into it, or delete the songs from it.
If you highlight a regular Playlist and click on File, the Edit Playlist is greyed out and cannot be used. Frankly, I don't know why it's even shown.
If I want to delete the song Dap Walk from this Playlist, I simply right-click it and choose Delete:

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).
