  • Oracle Reports - PDF report

    I have a PDF report designed using oracle report builder 6i. This report has a margin that prints the total of all the quantities to be ordered via a QUOTE. If this report prints beyond one page, then the total will print on all the pages. Users do not want to see the total on all the pages but only on the last page. I really need to keep these total fields on the MARGIN section of the layout. Is there any way, i can still keep these fields on the margin and print them only on the last page of the report? The report builder do not let me set the 'print condition' as the 'last page' because it is in the margin section. Any idea on this issue??

    I would create a trigger for your MARGIN totals so they print only on the last page.
    Have the trigger return TRUE if current page = total pages, else return FALSE.
    This will make sure your margin totals are only visible on the last page.

  • SQL Report - PDF Report Printing. How to show one row per page?

    Hello
    I have successfully created a simple SQL Report.
    Than I enabled Report Printing to PDF (default Report Layout).
    Export to PDF is working good by default.
    Now I want to see one report row per one PDF page. Is it possible?
    How I can change the amount of rows per PDF page using default report layout?
    I tried to create a User Layout with MSWord Plugin. it's quite suitable for data forms.
    But I still did not find a way around for my question.

    I would create an User Layout (.rtf) with MSWord. Load your XML data and use the table wizzard to put the fields in your document.
    Put this code after your last field and before the 'E' (= <?end for-each?> tag):
    <?split-by-page-break:?>

  • How to open an pdf report On click of some command button in adf

    Hi,
    I have to generate some pdf report or some pdf document on click of some command button .Could any one please tell me how to achieve this.
    suggestion would be appreciated,
    Regards
    Vinay kumar

    So what you're saying is the PDF already exists on your web server, and all you want to do is navigate in the browser from your ADF application to the PDF, yes? If that's correct, let's assume you're PDF exists at:
    http://www.acme.com/someCustomPath/myFantasticReport.pdf
    Consider the <af:goButton> or <af:goLink> controls, which include the destination attribute. As such you'd do something like this:
    <af:goButton destination="http://www.acme.com/someCustomPath/myFantasticReport.pdf"/>As you can see the "go" controls are for navigating to resources not inside your ADF application, while the "command" controls are reserved for navigation among resources in your application.
    In order to generate the destination URL, just replace the destination attribute with an EL expression that retrieves it's value from a backing bean:
    <af:goButton destination="#{myBean.giveMeTheUrl}"/>Regards,
    CM.

  • Radio Button and combo box in Pdf Report.

    Hi,
    I have to make a PDF report with text box,radio buttons and combo boxes.
    The data in the text box will populate from the data base table.
    Similarly the radion button will enable the particular radio button from  a set of available radion buttons as per the value from the database.
    Same with combo boxes.
    The report putput should come in PDF.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The report sud be pdf output with details like name of person showing in textbox ,then there will be list of radio buttons out of which particular radio button will be checked  as per the option for that particular person in the database.same with combox with for example A,B,C option from the look up is coming but it will be showing the option as per the name of person.We can take the name of person as the primary key.
    The Problem with input controls is that they can be used to filter the report as radio buttons and combo box but they can't be sown in the report itself.

  • Open PDF report on clicking a URL link

    Hello,
    I have a requirement to open a PDF report when clicking on a URL.
    Example : Open a Purchase Order PDF report when clicked on a URL from a different web based system (non APEX). I was able to open APEX pages from the web pages but i am not sure how to open a PDF report. I will have to pass PO number in the URL.
    I would really appreciate it If anyone can give me some direction. I have created PDF reports within APEX and called from within other Pages in APEX but not outside of APEX.

    Sorry I really didn't mean to be stupid ;)
    below is my requirement. We use oracle ebs and we use forms version. Our requirement is to open various PDF reports by clicking a buttons/menu in different forms with in Oracle apps forms. We have APEX developer who can create PDF reports in APEX easily but the technology on ebs side is complex to develop simple PDF in the way users want. So we were thinking if we create a PDF report in APEX..and call the apex report from ebs. Is this possible? Inow we can call other APEX web pages from EBS.

  • Urgent: Issue while displaying the PDF Reports Using XDO Common region

    Hi all,
    In our product code we are trying to display the PDF Reports, using the xdo common region.
    Previously we were writing the pdf reports direclty onto the response direclty.
    This displays the report onto the browser but if navigate throw browser back button, it doesn't displays the report as the response stream is empty while navigating through back button.
    So to solve this issue, i tried to write the report using the OAHTMLWebBean and xdo common region. Here is the code:
    ByteArrayOutputStream xdoOutput = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    XDOUtility.retrieveReport(xdoOutput,
    parameters,
    prop,
    appMod
    BlobDomain bxdoOutput = new BlobDomain();
    bxdoOutput.setBytes(xdoOutput.toByteArray());
    String redirectURL = DocumentHelper.getOutputURL(pageContext,
    bxdoOutput,
    "Report",
    "PDF");
    OAHTMLWebBean outRegion = (OAHTMLWebBean)createWebBean (pageContext, OAWebBeanConstants.HTML_WEB_BEAN, null, "IFRAME");
    outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("src", redirectURL);
    outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("width", "100%");
    outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("height", "100%");
    outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("title","Report");
    outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("name","Report");
    pageContext.getPageLayoutBean().addIndexedChild(outRegion);
    This successfully displays the report in the XDO Common region. But now the issue is that there are hyperlinks in the Report displayed where from where the user can navigate to other detail pages.
    When we click on these links, a new session starts in the xdo common region.
    Is it possible that when the user click the links in the report displayed, instead of starting a new session in the xdo region, the detail pages is displayed with in the older session.

  • Passing report value to PDF report query

    I apologize if this has already been asked and answered.
    Here's the scenario --
    I have a monthly sales page which displays the company sales for each day of the specified month. I also have a working report query and RTF layout which accepts the invoice date as a parameter which was created with the BI Publisher Word plug-in.
    What I would like to do is add a link or button to each row of the report that would call the PDF report, but passes the #invoice_dt# column in as the parameter. Invoice_DT isn't a session state variable, so is it possible to pass this to the report query?
    Thanks,
    Leigh

    Well, in my search for an answer to a different question, I did run across the answer to this in another thread.

  • Barcode printing in XML report PDF output

    Hi All,
            I want to print barcode of invoice number / purchase order number in the XML report PDF output.
            Anyone please suggest me with your ideas and experience.

    Hi Bogdan,
    The steps mentioned in the doc is what i did in order.
    I couldn't understand the step # 13 & 14.
    Log in as XML Publisher Administrator
    Navigate to Administration --> Font Files --> Create Font File
    Available fields are Font Name and File
    --> for Font Name, choose any descriptive name
    --> file will browse your PC to locate the font file
    Navigate to Font Mappings -->Create Font Mapping Set
    Mapping name is the name you will give to a set of fonts.
    Mapping code is the internal name you will give to this set
    Type: 'PDF Form' for PDF templates. 'FO to PDF' for all other template types.
    Create Font Mapping (this allows you to add fonts to a set)
    Font Family is the exact same name you see in MS Word under Font. If you don't use the same name the font will not be picked up at runtime.
    Style and weight must also match how you use the font in the RTF or PDF layout template. Normal and Normal are good defaults.
    Language and Territory should remain blank (NULL) unless you have a strong business reason, as these fields can cause the font not to be picked up at runtime.
    Navigate to Configuration General -> FO Processing -->Font Mapping Set. This can also be done at Data Definition and Template level, via the corresponding Edit Configuration button on those pages. The hierarchy is Site-> Data Def -> Template.
    Select your new mapping set.
    Make sure the font is not referenced under File --> Properties --> Custom in the RTF template file.
    Under General, set a Temporary Directory. The font will be stored under a /fonts directory at runtime, initially created the first time the font is used.
    Upload a template that uses your special font and test using preview or by submitting a concurrent request.

  • HTML Markup Doesn't Show in PDF Report

    I've got an Application Express screen from which I'm generating an Oracle Report, using APEX 3.0 and Oracle Reports 10g.
    Calling the report, I specify DESFORMAT=PDF. For the most part, this works fine. I'm able to display BOLD text and font colors and UNDERLINED text, but the STRIKETHROUGH will not show in the PDF.
    In testing, I've used both strikethrough tags ("s" and "strike"), and neither shows in the PDF file. When I run the same report in Report Builder, using the run paper report button, I can see the strikethrough as intended. I'm also able to change the DESFORMAT to HTML when I call the report from APEX, when I do so I can also see the strikethrough. My customers, unfortunately, prefer the PDF format.
    Any ideas?

    Are you exporting or printing to PDF? You must export.
    You must also select the options for interactive content.
    What preset, if any are you using?

    Hi,
    You may convert the spool of your report into PDF quite simply, this has been discussed many times in this forum.
    If you want to provide additional functionalities, especially of your report consists in a table (well, that is generally the case, isn't it), you can use a tableView that provides sorting, filtering, ...
    Besides, it is also possible to turn the tableView content into Excel but you already have this one...
    Any reason (release ?) you chose BSP over Web Dynpro ABAP ?
    Best regards,
    Guillaume
