Button refuses to link to client website

Hi again. I am having a real problem trying to get a button to link to my clients website. I have other buttons that go directly to websites and work fine, however I have tried over the past two days and still can not get to their website. When I click on the button I have attached what comes up on screen. Does it have anything to do with the 20% that comes after the .com???? I have typed and re-typed it a million times......any ideas.....not great to have their brochure that doesn't link back to their site. Any help would be so appreciated.

thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately I can't seem to get rid of the space. I have manually typed it over and over again. I have copied and pasted directly from the client website. I have placed my cursor before the m and arrowed over it and deleted. I have put my cursor at the end of the m and deleted which deletes the "m". I have put my cursor at the end of the .com and tried to arrow over but it won't move. I am at a total loss of how to get rid of a space that I swear doesn't exist but apparently it must!!!!! Should I do something right after I type it? I tried going out of the button menu so I wouldn't put any extra spaces inadvertently. Can you go into InDesign and try to make a button and see if it links? I know I am asking alot but I can't think of anyway around it???

I was reading up that it's possible to this with menus, and tracks but can you do it with a button and how?
I am hoping to create a button that people viewing my discs on a computer can click on the link and their web browser will pop up and take them to a website.
Any help is appreciated.

dvd@ccess questions are being asked once a week on this forum, so I'll repeat why it's useless:
- Mac users have to enable the feature in the preferences of DVD Player in order to for the links to work.
- PC users have to install a small application on their PC, and they have to reboot the PC in order for the links to work.
- On top of this, it's still unreliable, and may not work on some computers.
It's a dog: Don't use it.

Muse Website issue - I can't send direct page links to clients

Hi all
I would like to send my client a direct page link from my website so that they can view some photos I have taken for them.
The page is purposefully not listed on the site menu so that is has a low level of privacy.
When I enter www.domain.com/photos.html on a browser I get a error 404 message back. I have also noted that when I look at the live website I only ever see www.domain.com on all the pages I navigate too. It never changes to show www.domain.com/intro.html for example.
Insight would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you haven't moved your domain name, but instead the Muse site is being presented inside a frameset that's hosted wherever your domain is. If you "View Source" on your home page you should not see any mention of "frameset". If you do, you'll likely also see the URL for where your site really is. If you use that domain name, probably xyz.businesscatalyst.com, the direct links will work fine. They'll also work if you really assign your domain to the site rather than just showing the new site's contents inside a frameset hosted somewhere else.

Linking to a website and launching default web browser

I'm nearly finished with my most ambitious game ever. I would like to link to my website where I have several of my other games. I want the button to launch the users default web browser and automatically go to my website. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Firefox refuses to go to any website, won't open bookmarks, just won't work. Oh HELP!!!!!

I tried to open Firefox this morning and got a message saying that the installation was malformed (huh?!?!?!?). It opens but refuses to go to any website, it won't open any of my bookmarks, and it won't allow me to refresh or do ANYTHING AT ALL. I am running Mac OS 10.4.11 and I have ordered Snow Leopard but it hasn't arrived. Meanwhile, I'm unable to upgrade Firefox until Snow Leopard arrives...is there ANYTHING I can do to get my Firefox back in the meantime? Help.....!

Submit Button in web linked form

I have created a form with a submit button and have inserted the form as a link on my website, Ithe form upload perfectly but the submit button when pressed creates the error "operation not permitted". I do not need this data to be tracked in a spreadsheet, but I want to make it easy for the person to complete and send back without having to do a save as and attach manually to an email. When I test the form from my desk top it works perfectly, outlook opens up with the recipients email address and the completed form is attached as a complete PDF, why is it not working when I insert it as a link. Any help would be much appreciated. I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro 10. Thank you

I have created the WD application. Unfortunately, the requirement is online processing form which is attached in the SAP transaction. So, when user open document number of one transaction, the form will be displayed and user can fill the information in this form. Then after that user will click SAVE button to submit data to SAP.
Any advise?

Add hyperlink or button to open document in client application

I have SharePoint 2013 and Office Web Apps 2013 integrated with it.
I configured the default behavior when clicking on a document in a document library to open it in web app.
And I want additionally to have column in this library with hyperlink or button to open document in client application.
I can click on menu near document name with WAC preview and then click "change" button. But in this case I make 2 clicks. So I want to have this "change" button as a column in the list of document library.
How can I do it?

text type column - richtextcolumn.
Then I created workflow associated with documents library and added action to set field in current element

I configured this workflow to run on element creating and editing.
Then I upload a document and see link to this document appearing in richtextcolumn.
But when I click this link it just download document and then open it in client application. So if I change something in this document and try to save it, it will be saved in my local download folder and not sharepoint.

Got a strange one here . . . it may be network related I guess, but I'm not sure.
I recently finished work on a large WebHelp project. When I outputed it to HTML I noticed that certain words have been 'hikacked' and used as links to external websites - webopedia.com being the most common:
Federated Instant Messaging (IM)

allowing other IM networks to message their users. Federated IM networks
often communicate using open standards, such as <a href="http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/F/XMPP.html">XMPP</a>.
It's almost as if Google Adwords or some other site has taken over my document. These are certainly not links that I have put in; I generally only link to other pages within the same document and hardly ever go out to other sites. The only external links I have added to the project are for legitimate sites (Adobe and Avaya).
Has anybody else experienced this, and does anybody know how to stop it happening?
Any help or advice would be appreciated,

Okay, question here. The document you say is exhibiting the issue, did you create that document yourself? If not, then perhaps whomever created the document to begin with added these links.
I suppose that you could troubleshoot this by creating a fresh document. If the fresh document doesn't have the mysterious links, you can rule out any automated and nefarious forces at play. But if creating the document DOES seem to contain the links, you have other issues at play here that warrant further and deeper investigation.
By the way, is this content originating from a Microsoft Word document or is it just basic HTML pages?

Can i make a button change anchor link when you scroll down the site?

I am trying to make a scroll site.. and i have navigation buttons on the right, a full menu, but also a "1 topic up" button and "1 topic down" button.
Is there any way that i can have those buttons change anchor link when you scroll down the site.
Example:
I am at home, then i press "1 topic down" and gets scrolled to the next topic on the website, but then i cant make the button change to link to the anchor below that, so the button becomes useless after that 1 press.
Is that in any way possible in Muse to make it change link?

You can try to create different buttons on page positions where down scrolling will be active with separate button actions. For example you click on "I topic down" , page scrolls and there is another button placed with "Next Topic down" , on click this would scroll the page more and similarly along the length of page.
Button with anchor link scrolling down the page cannot be used for different anchor links, creating different buttons with anchors is the solution.

Is it possible to host digital ipad documents on a client website for purchase?

I am currently looking at turning some fact sheet information pdf files into interactive files that can be downloaded for a fee exclusively from on of my clients website to their member only network. Is this possible and do I need any special information for this and if so is there a link to the information?

I use to be able to click on a link in a website to watch a video and it would launch windows media player. I have installed the plugin but it still will not launch

Windows Media player will not launch from a video link within a website. it worked until I installed FF4. I did install the plug in but still nothing it just goes to a black then blank page when you try to launch the video.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...

Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.
Then... Try putting these numbers in Network>TCP/IP>DNS Servers, for the Interface you connect with...

Then Apply. For 10.5/10.6 Network, highlight Interface>Advanced button>DNS tab>little + icon.
DNS Servers are a bit like Phone books where you look up a name and it gives you the phone number, in our case, you put in apple.com and it comes back with 17.149.160.49 behind the scenes.
These Servers have been patched to guard against DNS poisoning, and are faster/more reliable than most ISP's DNS Servers.
The Interface that connects to the Internet, needs to be drug to the top of System Preferences>Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations and checked ON.
10.5.x/10.6.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

When you are setting up links to other websites? So, you are
creating a
page, and on that page is a link to a website that contains a
Flash
element? Can you clarify, please?

Why can't I link to any websites using Blogger?

I recently set up a blog using Blogger and the link button doesn't link me to any websites. The test link shows that everything is fine but the text, when published, doesn't have a link to anything - shows just the test. I have already contacted Blogger and posted this question and examples on their forums. I have been told that the links work perfectly on Firefox 3.6 and they are correctly set up with all the proper coding. No one seems to be able to give ma an answer. I can't get this to work in Explorer or Safari either.

Does the link work on a different device or a computer? It's possible the video they linked to is not available for viewing on a mobile device, or that the link is bad.
