Button Set - Stuck at making selection on gradient area

Hello,
I have been trying to create a button set with a foreground shape as shown here:

What I am trying to accomplish is when this guy creates a selection with pen tool and deletes part of gradient from the button set, this gives it a shape/theme to the button set – This way I can create any shape on the buttons and they look like a theme. (maybe I am not explaining well but you get the idea)
Where I am stuck is when I select all buttons and apply gradient to all, it only applies to a single layer (button) instead of all even though I can see all selected. Also when I make selection with pen tool and delete the gradient, it deletes from only one.
Can someone give me a step by step please? Much appreciated!!

When all the buttons are in a single layer than the effect will happen in all the button, I think all the buttons are in seperate layers
so first make the selection and cliick on the particular layer in the layers window ( F7) and than try what you want .

When I press the home button three times to bring up the Guided Access settings, the screen rotates 90 degress and crops some of the page, so selecting the disabled areas on the screen/page is inaccurate once I start Guideed Access. How do I fix this?

Hi. No, I haven't been able to resolve the issue. I called Apple's technical support and they had me restore the iPad to factory default settings, which did not fix the issue. Next, they suggested that I take the iPad into an Apple Store and exchange it for a new one, which I did. This also did not fix the issue. The people at the Genuis Bar at the Apple Store determined that there is a bug with the current version of the iPad software, since every iPad we tried in the store behaved the same way. They said they would report the bug to Apple's technical support and hopefully it would be addressed in a future release of iOS for the iPad.
Please help Apple!!

Sorry to hear you are having a similar problem. Last night I went to the tool bar at the top of iphoto, clicked on "File", then clicked "Browse Backups" in the drop down menu.    I have an external hard drive that is set up to Time Machine.   The Browse Backups opened the iphoto pages in the Time Machine. I selected a date one day ahead of the day I performed the now infamous update, and it showed my iphoto library as it had existed that day.   I then clicked "Restore Library" at the bottom right corner of the Time Machine screen.   Roughly 2 hours later my iphoto was back to normal.   When I opened iphoto there was a message saying I need to upgrade my program to be compatible with the new version of iphoto(version 9.2.1). I clicked "Upgrade" and within seconds it had done whatever upgrading it needed to do.
The only glitch in the restoration was that it restored the library as it appeared last week, so I no longer had photos I had imported this past weekend.   I simply went back to the Browse Backups in the drop down menu, when Time Machine opened I selected the page showing my pictures from this weekend and again said to Restore Library.   Roughly 45 minutes later the library was restored including the most recent photos.
I am now a happy camper.
I don't know if any of this will be of help to you because your email says you are having trouble with photos imported after the upgrade was performed.   Have you had any pop up notices when you first open iphoto, that tell you you need an upgrade to be compatible with the new iphoto?     If so have you clicked "upgrade"?
Good luck Liz, if you have Time Machine running as a back up to your library, maybe you wil be able to get help there, by following my instructions above.   Otherwise,   good luck with your investigations.   I'd be interested in hearing how you make out.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store, then.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

Workaround for keyword button sets bug

Thought I'd post this in case anyone else is beating their head against a wall trying to use custom keyword button sets.
BUG: Control bar sometimes displays the wrong captions for the keyword buttons. Cause: Deselecting a keyword button set in the "Edit buttons" dialog will cause any active button sets after it to appear corrupted in the control bar. For example, with the default set of "Photo Descriptors, People, Stock Categories, Snapshots, ..." try unchecking the Stock Categories button set. When you return to the control bar, use the popup button set selector (just under "Add Keyword") to select Snapshots. Instead of the Snapshot keyword buttons, you will instead see the button captions from Photo Descriptors, though if you click one of those buttons, it will apply the appropriate keyword from the Snapshots set.
Workaround: Rearrange the order of the button sets list in the Edit Buttons dialog to make all checked button sets appear before all unchecked button sets. In other words, don't have any gaps where you have an unchecked button set followed by a checked button set.

I tried following the directions that I received about restoring my iPod touch. But there is one flaw. My power button is stuck and I am unable to turn it off. How can I go about either getting it fixed or restoring my iPod?

Easy, first make sure that the itunes on your computer is up to date. Next connect the ipod to your computer. If you have itunes 11.0 or above, wait until the device appears in the upper right hand side of the screen, or you can press ctrl-s, and the side menu will appear, and you can see more clearly the ipod appearing under the device category. Next simply click on the ipod and on the summary screen, you should see restore. Press restore, and you will see a dialog box asking to back-up & restore, restore only, or cancel. If you have information to save, press back-up & restore, if you want to wipe the device clean and start over, press restore. Once it's all done, you should be good.
If your ipod is less than a year old and not a refurbished device, contact Apple at 800-676-2775 for assistance on repair and replace. If you are near an Apple Store, go to http://www.apple.com/retail/ and find your local Apple Store and set-up a genius appointment and go in and have your device repaired or replaced.If your ipod is a refurbished device, it has to be 90 days old or less to be repaired or replaced for free.I hope this helps.

My iPod Nano 7th generation is stuck on language selection screen. Language can be selected but "Done" button cannot be pressed.

Sounds like a hardware malfunction with the device. Could be the clickwheel itself or the logicboard. Either way, you'll need to send your iPod in for service if you want to be able to use it again.

My home button gets stuck and some days it wont work at all what shall i do?

My home button is not repsonsive, I have booked it at the Genuis Bar to be look at as it it still under waranty, but until then there is a way of adding a virtual button that allows you to bypass the home button. Thought I would share this with you all, as after looking everywhere on the internet I havn't found anyone mention it.
First make sure you are on version 5
got to SETTING>GENERAL>ACCESSIBILITY>ASSISTIVE TOUCH
You will then have a button on the bottom right hand corner screen that is always there (you can move it around if its in the way). Pressing it will allow you to go to the home screen.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

Can you save your own theme and button set up so I can use the same format

Can you save your own theme and button set up, so I can use this same format for similar content. I want to keep the button content and the theme the same without having to create it everytime? I am trying to streamline the process for multiple dvd's with the same menu and buttons but different content. Does that make sense?

I am only new to this caper too, but I am pretty sure you can save a theme as a favourite by pressing the "save theme as favourite" button under file. If you have edited an existing theme but don't want to lose it, make sure you untick the replace existing button.
