Buttons change to colors I didn't request

I have several buttons in my menu, they are BrushMed from the Palette's Shapes -> Apple.
The buttons are all the same style and have identical parameters except for the things that should be different, like coordinates, text, asset, and navigation. I can click on different buttons and see nothing in the Inspector change except those items mentioned above. All buttons have the same Highlight Set and Selected Highlight. None of the colors in the Highlight Set are red.
When I actually burn a disk, some of the buttons have an unrequested red tinge around them and actually turn red when I click on a different button. E.g. on one menu I have buttons A, B, C. "C" has a red tinge. If I click on B
"A", then "C" turns red during the time between the click and when the menu disappears.
I did use red briefly in a previous test of the DVD, but I changed it from red to green. Based on other messages on this topic, I removed the PAR directory and the *_TS directories just to make sure, and re-built the project. No help -- that red is still there, not in the Simulator, but when I use the DVD player or a real DVD.
Another clue?
If I select Display Background on the Settings dropdown, button "C" shows a red background. I have no idea how to change that -- it doesn't correspond to anything I can find in the inspector.
Can someone explain what's going on here?

Thanks for your concern. There is always a chance that there was something detectable I was doing wrong, but I just couldn't see it. Do people here send each other examples of misbehaving projects to see if the other person can see something that they can't? Virtually looking over someone's shoulder, as it were?
Knowing how large video assets tend to be, it might be a large undertaking, unless I were, for example, able to simplify the example by removing unnecessary assets without the problem going away. I guess mailing a few DVDs to UK from the U.S. isn't as easy as emailing a small file, so it would have to be a pretty nasty problem to warrant that.
But how about some better diagnostic tools? For example, if I were able to get a text print-out of the data structures inside my project, or at least a relevant subset of them, I think it would have been obvious what the problem was. All I would have had to do was compare the properties of 2 buttons that appeared identical in the Inspector, but behaved differently.
Are there diagnostic tools like that that I haven't heard about?

One of my colleagues managed to accidentally change the color of the LED inside the Push Button. He didn’t know how he did it and we couldn’t figure out how to change it back. It’s easy enough to replace the Push Button with a fresh copy from the Buttons & Switches pallet but I would like to know how to control this parameter. Does anyone know how to do this?

Please post a VI with the troubling pushbutton so we can see the issue.
If you are talking about the LED shown in the attached jpg,
that color can NOT be changed at run-time. Use the Paintbrush.

Boolean button changes color briefly when pressed

Hi, I am using Boolean button as a toggle, so I only want text changes when it is pressed with no changes to button appearance.
I am able to change the color for On in properties to match the Off color (I am using the Silver palette so normally On is yellow), however when the boolean button is changes to On, there's a brief changes of color still. Is there any way I can get rid of it?
In fact some of my buttons blink black while others blink yellow. I have no idea where that is set.

There are 4 colors for booleans ON and OFF plus going from ON to OFF and going from OFF to ON
You only see the transition color when you have the Mech latching set to "latch when released"
Set it to "Latch when pressed" and you will not see the transition colors
You can set all 4 colors by using the Colors [4] Property

To Use: Create a property.
Array of up to 4 (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs, where Foreground Color is the foreground color of the Boolean control and Background Color is the background color of the Boolean control. Color pairs include False, True, True to False, and False to True.
You can set the color of the front panel object by wiring a hexadecimal number with the form RRGGBB or by wiring the color box constant to the property.
This property is similar to the Colors option on the Appearance page of the Boolean Properties dialog box.
If the Boolean control has four (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs for the four states, this property always returns an array of four (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs when reading. When writing, you can pass in an array of length 1, 2 or 4. If you pass in only one element, this property uses that element value for all four states. If you pass in two elements, this property uses the first element value for the False and True to False states. Similarly, this property uses the second element for the True and False to True states.
If the Boolean control has only one (Foreground Color, Background Color) pair for all four states, this property returns an array of one (Foreground Color, Background Color) pair when reading, and uses the first array element when writing. You cannot change a Boolean control with one (Foreground Color, Background Color) pair to a Boolean control with multiple (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs.
This property only uses the True to False and False to True states when you set the Boolean control to latch or switch when released. You can get and set these (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs even if you do not have the control set to latch or switch when released; they just are not used.
Because this property does not change the data of the Boolean control, you can set it at any time.
You can use the this property for Boolean controls on the Classic, Express, Modern, and Silver palettes. You cannot use this property for Boolean controls on the System palette.

How can i change the color of the text on a button in Roll Over or Click state (Cs5.5)

Here is the problematic:
1° How can i change the color of the text on a button in Roll Over or Click state (Cs5.5)
- I've many button in a doc im creating
- the color of the buttons is white with black stoke & black text
- in roll over state i want them to inverse the color coding (the text white & bottom black)
- currently the text becomes invisible as black on black cant be seen (ive stroked it white but that looks ugly)
- i would just like to know if there is a function made for this?
My other questions:
2° Ive a presentation on which Ive created buttons which tigger pop-up animations
- i have 5 buttons which trigger animations
- the viewer can chose to Click on any of the buttons randomly
- the problem is once the animation is open how can it be close... either:
a) by it self after "40" seconds
b) when ther viewer clicks another button
3° Ive created buttons linking pages..
- "go to page xxx"
- when i do a preview and click on the buttons the links dont take me to the right pages
- is that normal? (maybe in preview its suppose to be like that)
4° I would like to intergrate YouTube videos in the presentation so they play inside the docment.. when i tried.. it said the 'link isnt a flash video'
- what should i do?
5° Once i export it into Swf. how how can i visualize it? or put it online?

You should setup Object Styles - these can also include Paragarph Styles that can be triggered when the Style is selected.

Does it work properly when you export it to the finished file?

InDesign won't link directly to youtube videos. I think your best bet would be to use Downloader to download the video and embed them directly in Indesign.
5° Once i export it into Swf. how how can i visualize it? or put it online?

You can look up how to embed a SWF file into your HTML - but it depends what you mean by "online" there's a dozen ways to get a file "online".

How can I change the color of the new tab button?

Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to change the color of the new tab button, list all tab button, and tab groups button. I have been searching for personas that don't make it hard to see those particular buttons for days now, but since I can't seem to find any I was hoping there was a way to change those buttons' colors to make them more visible with the personas.

I want to change those 3 buttons (and the "show more bookmarks" button that appears when the window is too small to show them all) to white or some other more visible color. I know there's a way to change the background of those buttons, but I'd prefer if I could change the '+' button itself in the new tab button for example. Is there any way to do it? Because it's so hard to find personas that don't make it hard to see text or buttons.

How do I change the color of a button in swing?

I'm using swing to create an interface and it's made up mainly of buttons. Gray isn't exactly the prettiest of colors and I'd love if I could change the color.

Theme colors - Change the color of buttons

I went through the tuttorial, "Adding Styles to Components"
I were able to change different properties of buttons by creating a Style Class with the same name as that of the theme but with different style attributes.
This had the desired effect except for the background color.
I played around abit with the style editor settings of a button with a theme applied on it, and found that when you are in the background tab of the editor and you select your desired new color, that there are no changes EXCEPT for when you select the " Repeat-y" from the "Tile" drop-down list. Only problem is you get a funny stripe through the middle of the button.
Is this the only way to change the color of buttons, linked to a theme, to a new color?

To find the style properties defined in class Btn2, go to the theme's read-only css_master.css file:
In the Projects window, expand Libraries > Default Theme > com.sun.rave.web.ui.defaultheme.css.
Double-click the css_master.css file to open the file.
Search the file for the style class of interest, such as Btn2.
For example, to set a Btn2 background-color, both background-color and background-image must be defined to override the existing style class. Since you cannot make edits to the read-only css_master.css, use the style property editor to set the background-image to null and the background-color to the one desired for your component.

Changing box color with buttons

I'm kind of new to this whole flash thing...but here's what i
have:
I have a couple different .fla files that are opened via
buttons on a main "index" file.
It's probably easier for me to give an example:
Let's say I have files: "index" (as the main page), then
"page 1," "page 2," "page 3," and "page 4." On the "index" page, i
have buttons that display the other pages; 1,2,3, and 4.
What i'm trying to do is have three different boxes, say a,
b, and c on page 2, each one representing a different piece of
equipment.
On the additional pages, i'll have three buttons...each one
changing the color of one of the boxes. For example...button 1 will
turn "box a" green, button 2 will turn it yellow, etc... Then when
you go to the next page, button 1 will turn "box b" green, etc...
I've been doing tutorials, but i just cant figure out how to
code this. If anybody can help, please email me

So I right clicked on the button I want to use this with and
pasted this code. I changed the (box.mc) to (box_a)...the name of
the color box. When i run it, an error comes up "Statement must
appear within on handler" and the source is
"btn.onRelease=function(){
I don't know if i'm supposed to change something else, but i
tried it with "btn1.onRelease" also (the name of the button)

Play Button Changes Color To Red, Can I Change It?

In the Sliding Planes theme, when I preview, the Play button (originally dark blue) turns red. It has to be something set in the theme since other themes have a change in color of the Play button as well (sometimes to yellow and other colors). Is this changeable? I would rather the color not change and stay dark blue. Thanks a lot!

Ok, I think you answered my question. I just want to make sure you know that it's not the highlighting persay that I'm talking about, it's just the fact that the button changes and stays to red, it's not that it only gets red when you're selecting it but that once the menu starts and the text flies in and the drop zones are in motion the top writting and everything is the color I want but the Play button turns red automatically before I select it or anything. But I think you answered my question in that the theme I selected requires the Play button to turn red automatically to distinguish it from other buttons. I wouldn't mind it turning red when I would press enter or something to play, like for a second to change color to know that I cliked it, but what bothers me is that it's red the whole time which off sets the color scheme that I'm trying to make on the menu. Programatically changing the color of buttons on LV OI

I've modified the sample Operator Interface shipped with TestStand.
Buttons are linked to subsequences, so when a button is pushed a subsequence is running (boolean buttons).
What I would like to achieve is that, once a subsequence was called and the result was OK (pass) then the color of the button should change to green.
If the subsequence is failed then the button should change to red.

Red, green, and yellow are not conducive to red-green colorblind individuals, and the gray scheme in the Graphite appearance is too dull.
