Buttons for music won't work

It used to work perfectly then suddenly it stopped working for some reason. When I play music, I cannot control it on the lock screen at all. I press pause and nothing happens. Same thing with the skip forward and backwards buttons. I know it knows I pressed it, because the buttons light up when I press them, but it has no effect on the music. Did Apple remove this feature for the iOS7? That's what I have. Or did I accidentally remove this feature? Please help me. It's very annoying. Thanks in advance.

You can try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
However, some onther users have reported the same problem so it it may be a bug in iOS 7

I have a mid year 2010 MacBook Pro utilizing Mountain Lion 10.8.3 OSX. For some reason the F1 and F2 buttons are not working for brightness. Maybe I turned something off by mistake? Button named "Play" won't work!

Hello folks,
I am working on fairly simple project and I need only one button on a menu so I created one with text says "Play"
and then I try to simulate and click on it, it just won't work.
Why is that????? I did every possible way I could think of although I am pretty novice with Studio Pro.
Can anyone help me with this issue please?

Hi.
If you are using APack for your audio files, yuo can tweek the db settings (the default is -27). You can do tests by changing this all over the place. Maybe that might help.

HT4437 I'm using an ATV2 and an ipad successfully for with airplay. Now I added a brand new ipod touch to the setup. However, for some reason airplay for music doesn't work if my projector connected via HDMI2DVI connector is turned off.

If I turn on the projector it works fine. Interesting fact is, that this is exactly the same behavior that I have when playing videos from the iPad. Worth to mention is that the ATV2 is connected to the speakers via optical cabIe. Is there a setting that I'm missing? I can't imagine that Airplay for music from the iPod requires a turned on Video device connected to the ATV2. Thanks.

Hy Alley_Cat, that was the last bit on information that I wanted to add to the question. All devices say they are up to date. Which means that iPad and iPod run 5.0.1 and ATV 2 4.4.4(3330).

Double clicking home button for music player

my sister got the new ipod touch 4g and she cant listen to music while she is playing a game that stops the music. how does she listen to music while playing a game?
also my ipod touch is a 2g and i double click the home button for the music player to come up and i can listen while i play. i have the 2.2.1 OS and if i update to the current 4.2 will i still get to keep this feature?

Jeong-hun Sin, 3.1.3 has the same issue, and I do not think Apple is ever going to fix this issue. They still haven't even fixed the live updating playlist sort order issue...
roaminggnome he's referring to a pop-up controls issue that has been talked about on this forum ever since the release of the 3.1 firmware.

In 3.0 and older versions, if you're in an app/game you can double-click the home-button to access the iPod pop-up controls to resume the playback of a song/podcast that had been previously paused/stopped.
In 3.1, if a song had been previously paused you cannot launch the pop-up conrols to resume the playback of the song. You're forced to exit the app that you might be in (lets say safari, or a game), and then resume playback using the music app.
Jeong-hun Sin, I upgraded to 3.1.3 a few days ago, and have found a few improvements:
- Many 3D games are MUCH smoother/faster under 3.1.3, than 3.0. I downgraded back to 3.0 just to see if I was just imagining things, but games like Coconut-racer, and Asphalt 5 were not as smooth as they were under 3.1.3.
- If you happen run apps that have live video streaming where the video playback controls do not appear (e.g the BBC world, Al Jazeera news, sure there's more), the iPod Touch no longer randomly reboots when using those apps.

Setting Keyboard Shortcuts for Services won't work

I've tried to set Keyboard Shortcuts for Services like "New Terminal Tab from Folder" but it won't work. I even tried it on my friend's machine to no avail.
Here's where I'm setting it up. And yes, I've turned on the checkbox & set the shortcut I want. I've even tried a few different keyboard shortcuts that are complicated to ensure that it's not competing with something else.
To note, I'm using TotalFinder but my friend, whose machine I tested this on, doesn't.
We are both running 10.8.2 on the latest MacBook Pro with Retina Display, 15".

I have a similar scenario......except my services that I created run one time, and then won't run again.
For example, I created a service to open a new blank email message for me to type in. I assigned Cntl-Opt-Comm-M to this service. I hit the key sequence and it works the first time.....the mail window pops open.
If I then close the mail window that it spawned and do it again, no mail window opens.
I also did this to create a blank Calendar event and also another one for Reminders.
They all run one time and then not again.
Any ideas?

I have airplay button but it won't work from imac to ATV. Phones are a-go however...

Current household setup:
-most recent imac that didn't get lyposuction. Not upgraded to 10.7.5. Currently sitting at OS update one before that.
-2x Iphone 4S
-Apple TV, most recent model, updated to latest update.
-Linksys 2600E wireless router
So currently, I can airplay and mirror from both iphones to the Apple TV with zero issues. Music streaming, youtube mirroring and browsing all works flawlessly. However, when I attempt to stream a .mp4 movie from itunes to the apple TV by either playing it on the imac OR playing it from the Apple TV it fails.
Everything worked perfectly until I updated the Apple TV to 5.1. The moment that update went through, it "broke" airplay between the imac and ATV. Now, in iTunes I still have the airplay icon and it's clickable to select Apple TV for streaming, but when it begins, it just sort of hangs then eventually times out.
I've managed to get it to work briefly (for 20 minutes) by changing some router settings, but nothing permanent. From memory (I'm currently at work) the settings on my router are as follows:
-WPA, non hidden SSID
-MAC Address filtering OFF
-2.4GHZ on 20hz only (as suggested by apple support page)
-5ghz on 20 to 40
-Port forwarded the following ports, now this is from memory so may not be 100% - 123, 3689, 5353 http://http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2463
-the band or channel signal is set to Auto for both.
These are the settings as recommended by Apple and it still doesn't work. I think that the 5.1+ update screwed with some wifi settings in the ATV airplay fuctionality but I'm pretty confused about everything. How come it works via iphones, but not from the imac? (which is also on wifi)
My iphone, iMac and Apple TV have the same home share account logged in, all on the same WIFI network, through the same router. It's odd.
If anyone has suggestions or answers, I'd be thrilled to try them out or look into them further.

Order of "New" button for creating project not working

In Project Server I've added several EnterPrise Project Types, and now I want to sort them the way I want in the "New" button in project center. But no matter what I do, the order is always the same. For instance, if I tick the box for the "Construction"
EPT, it does not go to the end of the dropdown list when you click the "New" button.
I have tried this in other deployments and it's working, so how can I debug this?

Have you configured the EPT order in the server settings, as per the section #11 in the following article?

In case you did, I've never heard or seen such a bug. I'd advice to recreate EPTs from scratch since they are just containers.

Button inside MC won't work - Basic

I'm a pretty novice user of Flash 8. I have a basic button
that when users click on, just takes them to another frame on the
timeline. When it's outside the movie clip of a map, it works fine:
on (release) {
gotoAndStop("Scene 1", "villa2");

you just have a path issue here and need to call the correct
path. If there is only one scene then you do not need to use the
scene parameter. dz's code will work by calling to the _root
timeline or use _level0 or _parent._parent (if understand your
structure correctly) so it should read:
on(release) {
_root.gotoAndStop('villa2');
that is if this code is being attached to the button, if it
is on the timeline of the button's parent clip it would read:
the_btn.onRelease = function() {
_root.gotoAndStop('villa2');
I find it interesting that a getURL would work for this
though, I'm not sure how you would have done that, but I digress
PS. you can post your fla here, zip the file, mount it on
your server, and post the address to the file using the http link,
