Buttons moved after building - how to prevent this?

Hello,
I used Adobe Encore (CS4) to make an interactive video. I imported my vids, which were made with other software, 480 x 360, connected them, add some buttons, and build the whole thing. I chose medium quality, the same resolution, Flash DVD and F4L. After building, my interactive vid was working perfectly, except for one thing: the buttons I made in Photoshop were smaller and out of place (but still working though). Does anyone have some experiences with this? How can I use the same resolutions (the vid can't be too big) but keep the buttons in place? Thanks for helping!!

You can see the problem in the first post (Attachment : image.gif). This is the printed page... all the SPACES are replaced by "è". When I control this incorrect page in Acrobat Pro, all the controls are OK, but a new line about encoding appear In the Times-Roman Font (Attachment Sans-titre-2.jpg in yellow)
I think this is an encoding problem. But I can't control all the fonts for all the pages, if controls are ok
Yes, I always make an ads' copy in PDF X-1a:2001 when i receive the ads before insert them with Indesign.

Disable anti virus software and try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall.
Quit then relaunch the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Then click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads

Using Fill & Sign on Flat Forms Results in PDFs with Messed Up Entries, How to Prevent This?

I am hoping you can help me out here:
Adobe advises to use the "Fill & Sign" function to fill in a "flat" PDF form. (Acrobat Help | Fill and sign PDF forms)
However, doing so results in a filled-in PDF that can be printed OK: (the below screenshot is from the print, which I rescanned)
But opening the PDF again, it looks like this: (I just lost an hour of work as I did not print the first try, it happened again on second try, but this time I had printed)
Why is this happening? How can I prevent this from happening? What are alternative (digital) ways to filling in a flat PDF form / what is the most effective way of doing this?

The ",screenshot is from Adobe Acrobat (saved and reopened the same file), it also looks the same in Preview and in Chrome.
The font is (should be) Helvetica, it is one of the four fonts listed on the top of the alphabetical list of all fonts (which I take as "recommended"), and it was the pre-selected font.
There are also line breaks in "messed up" PDF that I definitely did not type in...

Posting is happening in a blocked cost center , how to prevent this ?

During allocation of cost , credit entries are being posted to a cost center where all postings are blocked . To find the reason I searched SAP notes and found 203521 and 512403 where it's mentioned during cost allocation credit posting can go to a blocked cost center and in cost allocation SAP system does not correctly evaluate the lock indicators .
Program corrections provided in those two notes are for lower versions not suitable for ECC 5.0 ; so can anybody suggest me the most relevant note ? OR can anybody suggest me any alternative way ( other than implementating program correction ) to prevent this credit posting in a blocked cost center ?

Calender appointments automatically deleted - how to prevent this?

Hi, I have an iPhone 4s. I noticed that all my old calender appointments have been deleted - from 23rd November backwards.
1) Is there a way to prevent this allowing me to determine when and what to delete?
2) Is there a way to restore the lost appointments?
This is really important to me, and I would appreciate any assistance any of you can provide.

Search on "Ben" "cluster" "type def" to see I have been bitten the same way.
THe earch will reveal the various things that have been suggested depending on which version of LV.
Ben's first rule of cluster
Avoid like the plague deleting elements or renaming them.
Other stuff:
If you have to delete an element, for change its representation to something that will break all instances e.g. change numeric to string. THen go fix all of the broken VI by tossing all refs to the field you want to delte. THen delete it.
in ealier version of LV it was better to have all of teh VIs that use that cluster open when the change is made.
In recent version NI has recomended edititng the cluster with all callers closed with the theory being that LV handles it better when opening the VI.
Since I follow "Ben's first rule of cluster" I don't run into the bug often with LV 2009.

Whenever my new iMac updates or is shutdown, I lose all the Bookmarks that I've created in Safari are gone. Anyone know how to prevent this?

Several times now I have created a Bookmark list in Safari but everytime the iMac updates the software, or I shut the computer down, I lose all the Bookmarks. Only the pre-installed Bookmarks remain. Does anyone know how to keep this from happening?

You installed the "Genieo/InstallMac" rootkit. The product is a fraud, and the developer knowingly distributes an uninstaller that doesn't work. I suggest the tedious procedure below to disable Genieo. This procedure may leave a few small files behind, but it will permanently deactivate the rootkit (as long as you never reinstall it.)
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data. You must know how to restore from a backup even if the system becomes unbootable. If you don't know how to do that, or if you don't have any backups, stop here and ask for guidance.
Step 1
In the Applications folder, there may (or may not) be an application named "Genieo". Genieo may be partially installed even if this item is absent. If it's present, select it and open the Finder Info window. If it shows that theVersion is less than 2.0, download and install the current version from the genieo.com website. This may seem paradoxical, since the goal is to remove it, but you'll be saving yourself some trouble as well as the risk of putting the system in an unusable state.
There should be another application in the same folder named "Uninstall Genieo". After updating Genieo, if necessary, launch "Uninstall Genieo" and follow the prompts to remove the "newspaper-style home page." Restart the computer.
This step does not completely inactivate Genieo.
Step 2
Don't take this step unless you completed Step 1, including the restart, without any error messages. If you didn't find the Genieo application, or if you couldn't complete Step 1 for any reason, stop here and ask for instructions.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.
If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select

If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those listed above, move them as well. There's no need to restart after each one. Some of these items will be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
Restart and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.
Step 3
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including ones called "Genieo" or "Omnibar," and any that have the word "Spigot" or "InstallMac" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Your web browser(s) should now be working, and you should be able to reset the home page and search engine. If not, stop here and post your results.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install this software. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad has a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If youever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Genieo developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.

While synchronizing addon previously not installed on current PC firefox resets settings of this addon to defaults. How to prevent this?

One defenitive scenario for an example:
1. On the desktop I've got Flagfox with certain timeplaces being set (it holds for any addon with synced settings, by the way).
2. Syncronization of addons (and settings) is enabled in my Sync account.
3. When I add notebook as another device to my Sync Flagfox is installed with default options.
4. The most evil: this default options of addon *overrides settings on the Sync server*.
5. I receive default Flagfox settings back to my desktop from Sync server and lost my configured set of timeplaces.

I don't think so. If you install an extension then you get the default for all prefs that it creates unless probably those prefs are already there, possibly from a previous installation, but that isn't guaranteed as well as it depends on the startup code of the extension (e.g. using the same version or it is an update). I don't know how prefs are synced and maybe syncing prefs only work after a restart. Extensions that do not require a restart (No Restart) may even behave differently.

Try an SMC reset, which can often fix that: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 . Note as you scroll down, there are two sets of directions for MacBooks, depending on whether you can remove the battery or not.

IPhoto 11 Flagged folder randomly changes to contain ALL my photos, even though I only just selected 10 or 20 photos. Then it will reset to the right number, sometimes. Anyone know how to prevent this behavior?

I am using iPhoto 11 and flagging photos in Events, and the Recent Flagged folder updates to contain those photos properly, UNTIL I navigate around in iPhotos to other Events, or in other folders, then the Flagged folder shows 20000+ photos (my entire library has been put under Flagged!)
It resets back to my intentionally flagged photos if I go and flag another photo, but it is unnervering to see all my effort (temporarily?) wiped. I am worried this problem WILL eventually clear my flagged photos and I will need to start over.
So, I am wondering if anyone has seen this behaviour and found a way to prevent/avoid it?

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

On every update I have done, it deletes my playlist, does anyone know how to prevent this?

Every update I have done has resulted in my losing my playlist. I was happy to see yesterday after I did the update my playlists were all still there, but my joy was a little premature because when I went to listen to my music this morning, all of my playlists were gone and all of the music on my phone had the circle next to it like it had to be downloaded. Very Very frustrating.

I have had this happen as well. What I had to do was sync the iPod to remove the album and the resync the album back to the Classic. I've had this happen with my iPhones as well. Must be a bug in either the current OS or iTunes versions.

I have this situation: Say that I am RDP to a Windows server 2008 at least. I noticed that when I have an RDP session and I stopped working (idle) but still logged in, then I come back to it, the RDP session goes away as if I just got kicked out.
However, when I logged in again, I'm back to my session.
I looked at my GPO and I don't have anything set that relates to Terminal Session.
What is it and how do I fix this so I don't get kicked out?

Yes, set it to 1. You do not want to set it to 15 minutes or longer because that will most likely not fix the issue you are seeing. NAT Firewall timeouts are the most frequent cause of this issue,
and they are often set to 10-15-20 minutes by default.
I forget exactly, but I think in practice it will actually be 5 minute intervals when it is set to 1. The reason I said what I did is I didn't want to tell you it means minutes (which is what it means) and then you test it and realize that it is not
sending the keep alives at 1 minute intervals. If I remember correctly you can get lower by setting it to other intervals, for example, setting it to 2 would actually be more frequent than setting it to 1, but because I have noticed it stop working when
using the other intervals I recommend you set it to 1, which is the default.
Additionally, the exact behavior of the keep-alive may vary depending on the precise version, service pack, hotfixes that you are running.
The above is the longer explanation. Again I recommend you enable it and leave it at default of 1 and make sure to restart your server so the change takes effect.

How to prevent this IRRITATING software from launching

Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition 3.2 was installed the last time I accepted the upgrade to Acrobat reader or somehow that I do not recall. Now it launches on its own when I connect a camera or a disk drive or any memory card that has photos on it and it must consume computer resources. I do not want this. I have tried to fin out how to change the setting but this company has produced software that cannot be easily controlled, entering the realm of Malicious software. Does anyone know how to stop it?

Like Howard Strateman, I find so very very annoying that there is no option to turn off Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition 3.2 opening automatically directly any camera or card reader is attached. I do not want to remove the program completely (though I may have to unless someone offers a solution) I just do not want it taking control of my computer (Windows PC) every time there is a JPEG in sight.
I guess there is someplace in the Registry that can be edited, but I am very anxious about making manual changes in the Registry.
If Adobe won't provide an answer, please can someone help us (there must be many thousands of us) who feel let down that a trusted software company like Adobe encourages us to download free software that hi-jacks our computer without express permission.

I see the problem, but I have no idea really. Except to say if it appears in this forum it is a core issue as it affects both Thunderbird and Firefox.
