Buttons on chapter pages won't "select" in proper sequential order

I am exporting a multi-chapter movie from iMovie 6.0.3 to iDVD 6.0.4. When previewing with DVD Player to see how the finished movie would function when viewed on TV, I find that it's impossible to advance through more than 3 scene buttons on any chapter page in sequential order - no matter which "theme" I select for the movie. On the Reflection template, the chapter and page forward/back buttons select in a seemingly random sequence.
The movie map page shows all chapters in proper order, so there are no clues there to the malfunction in navigating between chapter buttons. Does anyone have a solution/ workaround to this problem?

Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I was thinking along the same lines - so I played around with re-sending the project to iDVD, moving between themes, and doing a series of edits in my chosen theme to see the results of consciously working with the chapter menus in different ways.
Surprisingly, I got the best result (a predictable and orderly, though not sequential, movement through all six chapters on a menu page) when I selected the "free position" option to release the buttons from snapping to grid, and then shifted the buttons slightly to align their edges in a particular relationship to each other (arriving at this finding was pure serendipity).
In some cases the original chapter title was long enough to overlap another button, but this did not seem to cause the random movement between buttons, as short titled-buttons seemed just as likely to be affected, whether or not they followed a long-titled button. But it seems possible that the presence of any long-titled button on a page could somehow affect the behavior of the entire page, or that there is something related to the titles that triggers or contributes to the problem (ie, even text that looks short enough may exceed some parameter) so I think this is worth keeping in mind.
Once the chapter button is selected (no matter how arduous it is to get there) it always plays the right clip. And "play all" plays the entire movie in correct sequence. So this quirk seems to be related to the specific code which determines how chapters queue for selection on the menu page.

I developing my own document in iBooks Author. I've created several chapters but can't get my pages to filp in priview. Instead, the separate pages in a chapter just scroll the entire length of the chapter.

Sliding occurs regardless of orientation.
The page curl/turn/flip animation is not part of the navigation when creating books with iBooks Author.
If you use Pages, as one example, and generate an industry standard e-pub, page turn animation is enabled by iBooks on iOS by default.

Button condition on page item and Validation error Conflict

Hi,
I have a select list page item and a button on page whose condition is based on the select list page item value(eg, If (:P2_item1='val1'){return true;}) with condition type=PL/SQL function returning boolean. This buttons submits the page.
It' coming fine in normal case. However, if I select some value val2 from the list and then click the button, and if there are any validation errors (like mandatory check or email check fail etc), then the button disappears because it evaluates the button condition based on the changed value(val2), but the page has not yet been submitted because of validation errors.
I think this can be solved if I create the button condition based upon database column value instead of page item as db col value won't change until the page is submitted.
This look like very basic use-case and I would like to know if there is any better solution to this problem.
Note: I am using Apex 4.2.1

I don't want to show/hide the button on the change of the page item lov value, so i am not using Dynamic action.
What i was is to make button visible based on a condition(which is based on page item), for which we have condition attribute of a button available.
This is a very common thing where a user chooses the button condition as Value of item/column in expression 1 is null/expr2. But what if the user changes the page item value but it doesn't get submit due to validation error. In that case, the button condition fails.
So, i guess i have to use column name in expression 1, can u tell how to do that?
Expression 1 = IF (:P2_STATUS='val1') then return true;
How to change the above to use db column 'status' instead? Any direct way(like #Status#) or I have to query db to get it using select.
Any alternative approach?

How to add a second page to scene selections link

I imported a QuickTime that has 12 chapter markers. iDVD automatically creates the main page that has two links: "Play Movie" and "Scene Selection". When I try to burn the DVD, I get an error telling me that the "Scene Selection" page has more than 12 buttons. If you add the 12 scene titles and the back arrow button, then there are 13 buttons. Therefore, I must add another page that will contain at least one of the 12 scene titles. My question is, how can I keep the one main page so that when I click on "Scene Selection", it takes me to a second page that has a few scene titles and also has a page advance arrow that if clicked, will take me to the next page of scene selections. The only way I can figure out how to do it is to have the main page contain two links: one for scenes 1 - 6 and one for scenes 7 - 12. What am I missing? Thanks for any help.

On the scene selection page use the "+" button to create a new submenu page:
Select the last scene link, go to the submenu and paste. Go into the Preview mode and make sure the link works. Then go to the first scene selection menu and delete that last scene link.
If you copy and paste more than one link to the subkmenu remember the order they are added to that menu determines the order they will be highlighted when using the DVD player's remote device.

Can I add Action button on each page of my pdf document

I have created many power point slides with an action button on each slide that allows the user to click to display a video clip.   I would like to create a pdf document of this and replace each of my action button in ppt with an action button that works in Acrobat.
I noticed that action buttons can be added to forms, but I want to be able to add an Action Button on each of my ppt slides to start playing a video clip (each slide will have a different video).
I would like to do this using any coding method (i.e. Javascript, VBA, C , etc).   I think acrobat uses Javascript.
The reason, is that I want to display my power point slides on an IPad and they don't support hyperlink in power point.   I believe IPad does suppport the full acrobat capabilities.
Can this be done ??
Any suggestions where to start ??

NO problem creating the buttons and then playing this back in Acrobat. Works great.
However, unfortunately, none of the PDF viewers for the iPad support playing movies.   So playing it there won't work :(.

Broken Menu Page - Won't Show On Screen (But, Works Functionally)

I've created an iDVD '08 project and have created a disk image to check and make sure everything is working properly. Unfortunately, when I play the DVD (disk image) one of the menu pages won't appear on screen when you navigate to it. I can blindly navigate that menu page's options (because I have them memorized), but the menu itself never appears.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Further Details:
I've tried creating multiple disk images and the problem persists. I've also tried to tweak the options on that specific menu to see if that would fix the glitch, all to no avail.
The menu in question appears in this order: MAIN MENU (Choices: 1 Movie, 1 Sub-Menu) --> SUB MENU (Choices: 5 Sub-Menus) --> *BROKEN MENU* (Choices: 3 Sub-Menus, 2 Movies, 1 Slideshow) --> FURTHER SUB MENUS
All of the menus have custom MP3 music playing in the background. Most are longer, but this specific menu page that is broken has music that plays for 01:38 (loop duration of 01:39). (The music plays. Again, you just can't see the menu.) In the one drop zone, there is one picture. (I don't know if this picture is a .jpg or a .pct.)
I'm using the "Brushstroke" theme (a 6.0 Theme) and the broken menu is a "chapters" theme. (All of the other "chapters" sub-menus appear fine.)

I fixed it.
Just in case anyone else has this issue, the problem (I think) was this: I had a "Movie" button on the sub-menu page in question that had only a " " as the title text.
(This was by design. The "movie" was intended to be a hidden "Easter Egg" that viewers could play only if they knew how to navigate to the button.)
I fixed the problem by adding actual text to the button's title text. (I managed to make that title text disappear by changing the opacity, thereby making it invisible.)

How to add another Chapter Page for more then 6 chapters & add right arrow?

I created a project via the Magic iDVD option and it worked great and added multiple chapter pages for more then 6 chapters. Now, I manually added a submeno off of main and added 6 chapters but I need multiple pages since I have 40 chapters... I can't figure out how to add another chapter page and create a RIGHT ARROW navigation button for the next pages...
I also looked at the map view and see that on the working pages there is page connected to page... I also cannot find a way to add a page connected vi map view...
I have searched the forum but none of the answers were clear on how to do this... any help would be appreciated...

Adding the submenu is easy...making the button for it a "right arrow" is not.
You can keep adding submenus to other submemus by navigating to the appropriate menu and then choose the "add submenu" command from the iDVD project menu. This can be done in either normal or map view.
However, this creates a "folder" button, (or other things in some themes) not a right arrow. I agree it should be a choice! My 2nd best solution is to chage the folder button to a "text only button" and label it "More Chapters > >"
Another solution (3rd best??) is to use command-shift-4 when you are one one of your other menus that DOES have a right arrow, and take a mini picture of the arrow. Then choose one of the oval menu buttons on the button pane, and drag this tiny picture onto the button. Re-size it to make it close to the same size as your other buttons. It will have a funny edge on it from the button style, but it will look like a right arrow.

After spending three months building a twenty six page Book Project in iPhoto i added a page and later decided to delete the page. I selected the page, pressed the delete key and confirmed the delete dialog box ( i didn't read, dummy) by pressing the delete button. The whole project was gone, the undo menu was grayed out and there was nothing in the iPhoto trash about my Book.
Surly I can find this if I knew the path to find the project in a library on a back column I have of my hard drive.. Could anyone help me?

Sorry I'm having a hard time getting this.
If I go to my hard drive BIGMAC>Library>Application Support>iPhoto>the only thing in this folder is Themes.
However, when I "Get Info" it's 580MB for 24,421 items. iPhoto says I have 35,977 photos. I would think the database would be into the GB for this many photos.
If I go to BIGMAC>system>Library>I find nothing about iPhoto
Is the iPhoto file in the Application Support the one I need to replace with my backup?

Pages won't open on ipad 1

I am trying to access an excel file in my dropbox, but pages won't open on IPad 1. Any ideas? I shut it down, then turned back on. No difference.

Double tap Home button and delete Pages from multitask-bar.
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.
Try again with Pages.
If no joy, delete Pages and redownload again.

Try quitting Pages and then reset your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Firefox 17 on Windows 7 prints blank pages after printing selection

I need to be able to highlight text on a webpage and print only that text using the print selection inside the file/print tab. However, instead, I am getting only that highlighted text AND then blank pages (with headers and footers) keep printing (how many pages that print depends on the actual size of the webpage).
I have Windows 7, 32bit and Firefox 17. I updated Firefox this morning and restarted but the problem still exists. I did not have this problem when I had Windows XP.
The print selection works properly in IE9.

Firefox's Print Selection feature has always left much to be desired...
What I get is blank pages ''before'' the selection but not after. You get blank pages for the entire document? That's especially unhelpful.

Before learning about the above, I wrote a small script to isolate the selection for printing. I wouldn't use it if you are filling in a form, making a purchase, etc., since the script duplicates part of the page and this may break the form. On the other hand, at least there is some level of undo without reloading the page.

When in trying to make an order on a company site, after order is in place and it needs to be reviewed before it is placed, buttons on this page will not respond such as allowing a change to the shipping address.

Making an order from Barnes and Noble. When page came up that said "review this order and make any changes needed" before clicking on "place this order", wanted to make changes, but clicked on "change button" and it would not respond. Opened an email from a realtor and selected house to view photos. Clicked on "more photos" and it would not respond.

Okay, try clearing cache and cookies of the browser. [[Clear Recent History]]
Also add-ons could be effecting this. See if [[Safe Mode]] helps.

Delete interactive buttons on all pages

Hello,
I'm new here, and I'm from Germany, so I apology in case for any missunderstandtings.
The Problem:
I have a PDF with like 1000 pages. On every page, there are interactive buttons like "Next", "Previous", "Contact" and so on...
Now I'd like to delete the "Contact" button only, on every page in the document - in one single hit. All the contact buttons have the exact same settings, they have been duplicated throughout the whole document. So the button should be the very same on every page.
There must be a way to delete all of them Contact buttons again - in one hit. So just like saying "duplicate onto all pages" I would just like to say "delete this button on all pages".
Is there a Javascript code to handle it? Or any other way?
Just to say it again: In one hit means all at the same time. I do not want to go through every page highlight every Contact button and then delete. That would take me ages for 1000 pages. And I have several dokuments to do that in...
