Buttons set in FCP do not appear in compressor preview

I would have expected that markers set in FCP would be seen and useful as chaprter marlkers in compressor.
Is there some reason they do not appear, which is my case?

Barry,
As you may know, Apple has only give token support for Blu-Ray over the years. The Share to Blu-Ray option is important to some people, but it is in no way a full-fledged authoring solution of the type you're looking for.It will give you rudimentary menu and chapter options and is really designed for single files.
If you don't want to try some PC solutions, two Blu-Ray alternatives come to mind: 1) Toast Titanium and 2) Adobe Encore. Encore is a popular choice, but the catch is that it's only availabe by purchasing Premiere Production Suite (which I belive costs $1,600). Toast, while more limited in capabilities, is around $100.

I kept it off like it was overnight, in the morning agin recharged it, but still it is not switching on. it is not responding, except when i connect the charger, it gives a blink noise that recharge has started. I removed the SIM and tried restart it but no response, What should i do to restart it please?

Seems to be working again, I haven't done anything though. And the "wifi" led on my laptop is off, which should mean that the interface is down.
This is driving me crazy I don't understand how the all thing works, if anyone has any tips that would be very nice.

customized template AGE3 collection report,we have taken print outs before a month,vendor
reference number get printed in report,now it is not appearing
What could be problem ?

We are using SAP Business One 2005 B (7.40.252) SP: 00 PL: 41.
Latest patch upgrade to PL:46 will solve the issue ?

Thru a workaround i brought up vendor reference number in print preview/print,
Applied formatted search in journal remarks of ap invoice thru query
SELECT $[OPCH.NumAtCard]
,this will populate vendor ref. no in journal remarks
which can be displayed in details in aging report.
Is there any solution other than above to bring vendor reference number in print ?

Document content do not appear in finder preview, quick look or cover flow

The contents of all types of appleworks documents do not appear in finder preview, quick look or cover flow on both of my computers. The generic AWKS logo appears.
Why does this happen and what can be done to correct this?
I have repaired permissions a number of times and have restarted the computer.

AppleWorks 6 was written before OS X & long before Leopard & Quick Look. There hasn't even been an update since January 2004. The ability to create the image for Quick Look likely will never happen.

I have one photo caption which will not appear when I preview my photobook

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
I have just assembled a photobook with captions for most of the pictures. One of the captions will not appear when i preview the photobook although it does appear in the assembled book.

Delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Button Setting Variable - Text Field Not Updating

Hi,
I am working with Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows.
I am unable to make the following work: When the user clicks a Button, a Text Field appears with the text associated with the Button clicked. I have tried accomplishing this with a variable declared in the Document JavaScripts, buttons setting the value of the variable, and a Text Field containing a Custom Calculation Script that returns the text associated with the value of the variable.
Everything works - except the Text Field doesn't return the text associated with the value of the variable. I have an app.alert (for now) in the button scripts so I can see if the variable has the correct value - and it does - but when the Text Field appears - the text never changes.
What I have observed: if I go back into the Custom Calculation Script of the Text Field and do nothing, go back out, go to Preview, and click on a Button, the text updates to the previous variable value (not the Button variable value I just clicked).
So - I think - the Custom Calculation Script isn't seeing the new variable "on the fly". Even though the app.alerts are. I don't think this is a Field Calculation Order problem. But maybe it is. And this is where my brain power ends. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Three unwanted programs joined the 30.0 update from a reminder button on taskbar, and do not appear in downloads.

Today, 6/18/2014, on my laptop, running Win8.0, a Firefox icon appeared on the taskbar, saying a new version 30.0 was available. I clicked on it, but missed as it closed. Upon opening the hidden icons, I clicked on the Firefox icon, the words 'update Firefox 30.0' appeared as I clicked on the icon. Then all hell broke loose. Adblock plus didn't stop anything, so the items were believed to be from Mozilla. A box appeared on top, saying "Update Windows 8 Drivers", and was flashing. The download box for Firefox may have been opened, and before allowing an install, several programs and add-ons were offered, but I tried to decline them. I clicked on the driver update, and Advanced System Protection from 'powerbundle.systweak.com, Driver support from secure.driversupport.com and System Speedup from www.systemspeedup.com were all downloaded without asking. They did not appear in the 'Downloads' history. Also, a Microsoft box appeared asking to download to Win Explorer, (like am I nuts?), I use Mozilla on purpose. Closed that box. Next, the Adv. Sys. Protector was analyzing my computer, with a Microsoft logo on the screen. It said I had 167 registry problems. After viewing, I decided to close all open windows. Then, in Programs, I found the three new programs and uninstalled them. When I opened Help About, in Firefox, the new version was just starting to install.
These boxes appeared so fast, and weren't touched by Adblock, at first I thought you might have bundled some features, and add-ons. You should find out who is gaming your installation process and shut them down. Microsoft has been trying to get me to update to win8.1, but I have declined, so I thought the box I was seeing was a recommendation from you to install win8.1 for protective purposes, though that is exactly why I have chosen not to do the upgrade. This question is being sent from the desktop computer that is now since I just checked, starting to update to 30.0. The programs, and Firefox do not appear in the downloads box, so maybe they were entering via Explorer? You don't stick anything else on your updates, so I wasn't expecting this.

Go to Mozilla.org and download the '''full''' installer and save it.

I have bought a Bose soundlink AirPlay which is set up correctly but not appearing on my air playlist. However my apple TVs are. Anyone got any idea?

I Have bought a Bose Soundlink AirPlay which is connected to my home wifi. My MacBook, iPad and iPhone are all connected to the same wifi. The Bose sometimes shows up on the AirPlay list but mlst of the time does not appear. I have 2 Apple tvs which show up in the list but the Bose seems to be the problem. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be?

Try this:
1. Turn off router, AirPlay Speaker and iPad
2. Turn on router and then wait 30 seconds for it to complete start-up process
3. Turn on AirPlay Speaker and then wait 30 seconds for it to complete start-up process
4. Turn on iPad and test AirPlay Speaker

Delayed text captions not appearing (except in Preview "Play this slide")

Can anyone explain why my delayed text captions are not appearing in any mode BUT Preview/Play this slide. When I do that type of preview, the text captions show up exactly when I set them (starting at 27s - and are set to display for 'rest of slide').
There are eight delayed text captions and none of them show up with I preview the Project, From this slide, or Publish.
The visible flag is on, time is "rest of slide", appear after 27s, effect is not relevant, and it is not a layers issue.

Belive it or not, I wasn't being sarcastic. Only Buttons, Click Boxes or Text Entry Boxes will pause playback of a slide. So I figured if I asked how many you had, you would scrutinize the slide and perhaps discover one you had missed.
Play this slide doesn't behave like the other preview. This doesn't mean it's bad, just different. You simply have to understand that the only real reason for using that type of preview is to achieve a rough representation of timing elements. When will they appear and disappear. As you have discovered, you may not interact with them. You may only watch them. It's a bit like watching something through a window. You cannot reach through it and touch anything.

Banner does not appear in web preview

I have a banner image that I put at the top of my webpage it looks great in DW. However when I go to web preview in Firefox or IE it does not appear on the page in the browser, just the title bayshore. Can someone please let me know how to fix this.

This is a strange way to show the site. Can't you just upload the page?
In addition, I tried running that piece of code through the validator and you do have issues with the HTML that could cause some display issues. I would recommend fixing those first to see if that helps:

Roll over images not appearing in a preview

I've created a new project and have had had previous success in making roll over images/captions work but now nothing in this new project is appearing when I preview the slide, not the images or the roll over captions. I'm using Captivate 6.
Sorry if i'm not explaining it properly but I've only started using the program this week and have no idea about any of it.

I note you said: Preview the *SLIDE*. And in that type of preview, all you will ever be able to do is to view when objects appear or disappear or move. Interactive objects such as rollovers will never work in the slide preview. You must preview a different way. (Project, Next X number of slides, From this slide, etc)

Set as available and not appearing as such

I complain that my son and grandchildren never call for iChat while my son complains that I am never available when they call. My computer is always on, iChat has been always on for some weeks now. My son never appears in my Buddy list as at his computer. Are we just missing each other? I have set energy saver for computer and screen to 'never sleep' and so I do it manually when I leave the computer. Screen saver seems to be unstoppable - could that make a difference? Why does he think I am not there? When we are lucky and coincide we can talk and see each other quite well, so it can work, that I know.
He runs Leopard on a new Mac Book ( think it is).
You could save our relationship if you can solve this one for me!

There are several possibilities here.
1) You have an AIM name and he has added you as an @Mac name.
2) The reverse. (both in names and ends)
3) a straight forward misspelling of a Screen Name.
4) The names have become Blocked. (Check: iChat > Preferences > Accounts > Security tab and the list with the Edit button)
You seem to be saying that he is not in your Buddy List (As an Online person) Check Blocking and spelling and type of Account/screen Name you have him set as.
You can do this by highlighting his name in the Buddy list and using the Apple Key and i together (Get Info) and looking at the Address card tab).
In addition you seem to say that you do appear in your son's Buddy List but he never sees you as Available and this seems to be the Screen Saver/Sleep feature possible showing you as Away.
It sounds as if two things are happening.
Your computer is showing you as away.
You have added him as the wrong Buddy Type or misspelt his Screen name.

The menu button on my tablet does not appear when using firefox Aurora

I have a tablet Android v4.0.3 and I installed Firefox 15c - Aurora via the downloaded apk file
1. There is no entry in my list of application
2. Firefox does not invoke the menu "soft button" on my tablet. I see the backup, HomePage and ActiveApplications, but not the menu button
I am using an 8" tablet, ARM v7 variation, ARM cortex A10 the Momo
I downloaded the full-screen add-on, but I do not have a nenu button
I see all ther required toolbar icons in Aurora, so I do not have an issue there.

The version of Aurora is 15.0b2 and not 15c as stated above. I downloaded Aurora on 2012-07-10, the day that I opened this problem qustion

Clips from FCP are not appearing in MOTION!!!

Sorry to bother but I'm doing the tutorial... and I'm following every step and what I'm trying to do is open up my timeline into Motion.
These are the steps:
Highlight the clips from my timeline
go to FILE, SEND TO "Motion" Project
A SAVE dialog box appears and i save it and hit SAVE
Motion opens up and the clips should be there but there's nothing.
Ont eh DVD tutorial, I do exactly but I keep coming up with nothing...int he tutorial,t he clips appear...can anyone help me...thank you. melvin
