I mean a french keyboard.

I am looking to purchase a iMac from the Ireland Apple store.
However, because I write in multiple languages besides english, my best fit is a Portuguese keyboard. After going thru the IE website, which only has British, US, French and German I looked at the PT website and cant buy there because it will be shipped within Portugal and not abroad.

If you cannot get an iMac with a Portuguese keyboard from the Apple Online Store, you should call Apple. Normally they allow you to get your Mac with different keyboard configurations than the ones listed in the Apple Online Store.
For Ireland, the phone number is 1800 92 38 98. Another option would be to look for a new iMac with Portuguese keyboard at another website, like Amazon.

How to type @ and # in Windows 7 with bootcamp - azerty keyboard ?

I am using an Azerty keyboard with a Macbook pro.
With boot camp and Windows 7, I can't manage to get the @ and # key working (the apple keyboard does not match the Windows keyboard for this key).
Is there another way to write the @ symbol?
I have changed to QWERTY keyboard but it does not help.

I found the answers by trial and errors.
@ is obtained by CTRL + OPT + 2
# is obtained by CTRL + OPT + 3
(without shift or caps lock)
These two signs are critical and I fail to understand why this information is not readily available from the help function or from the Apple support.

How to change hotkeys with an azerty keyboard ?

Hello,
I'm having troubles with changing hotkeys : I have an AZERTY keyboard, and the default configuration for hotkeys are written for QWERTY keyboards. And if I I want to change a hotkey, it considers I have a QWERTY keyboard, so I can't change some of the hotkeys.
Typically, if I type "," (the default hotkey for one step back), it steps back to the frame before. OK.
But if I want to enter "," for "one step back" in the "change hotkey" feature, it enters "M", although it is already set to ",". Impossible to change it to ",". NOT OK.
The problem is that for "one step forward", it is a bullet point, and it doesn't work on AZERTY devices, because it is behind a SHIFT key ! So I need to change this.
Once again, it worked in the earlier version of Flash.....
Do you have an idea of how to change this ?

Ok, I really needed this to work so I searched for the disposition of a QWERTY keyboard, and entered the key I wanted for "one step forward" : the "M" in AZERTY is the ";" for QWERTY. Exactly what I wanted...
But this is a pretty annoying bug !
Anyway, all the bugs are annoying.... Especially when all that worked before....

Apple stores don't see any that have that. They go with the normal languages spoken in the US, etc. If you ordered it, then that would be different, but don't expect to walk into an Apple Store or Best Buy and find one with a Dane keyboard on it. Won't happen.

I know that if you show up at an Apple Store in the US you can order a bto MacBook Pro or Air with a Danish keyboard.
A friend of mine did that - he lives in the US. It took a few weeks to get there.
The only little problem is that they would only do it if he had a registered address in the US.
I know why you are thinking about it.... saving a lot of money since they are expensive here in Denmark.
Not only is it a lot easier with a Danish keyboard when you live in Denmark - you are almost 100% sure of getting caught in customs if it has US keyboard - they are sooooo aware of Apple hardware from the US.
So unless you plan on staying in the US and have an address there... I wouldn't count on getting one - no matter who you call.

I am French and I am living in Ireland for 6 months, so I have to buy my Macbook on the Irish Apple website.
During the ordering procedure, I saw I can order a computer with a AZERTY Keyboard (French), but I'd like to know if it's possible to order the computer with a French Leopard OS, or will it be by default in English and after I can put it in French ?? Please answer if you know, this is the last step before I buy my Mac!

Using a QWERTY and an AZERTY keyboard at the same time

Hello.
Is it possible to use a QWERTY keyboard and an AZERTY one without having to change the layout in the settings each time I want to type with the other keyboard?

Actually I'm using this solution right now bit I'd like that when I type on the QWERTY keyboard, the Mac uses automatically the right layout and then, when I type with the AZERTY keyboard, it switches automatically to the other layout.
Maybe there is an app for that? :-)

What kind of problem that make me can not ask the store directly? Even me, I couldn't imagine the reason but I'm surprised how your doubt come. Actually, whatever I think it's my privacy.
Anyway, I tried finding inquiry form or customer support email on the Hong Kong online store page but I couldn't find anything. I think if there're anyone got an experience about this here, no matter he/she will work for retail store/Apple store or not. (or only store representator can answer this question?) You can use XP but it has to be in a Virtual Machine and OS X as the host instead of as a dual boot system with XP in its own partition. That is how I run Windows on my Mac, in a Virtual Machine.
Take a look at VritualBox from Oracle. It's free and works very well.

5GB is typically not enough space to download a movie. Often, movies take from 3 - 5 GB to begin with. The only option you have is to delete more things from your iPad. You can remove unused Apps, pictures, music, text message (messages with pictures can take up a lot of space), email messages, books, magazines etc.
