Buy additional iCloud accounts

Hello,
I have a Mobile Me family account with one master apple ID. We have numerous laptops, desktops and iPhones in my family. Now that Mobile Me is out I'd like to set up separate iCloud accounts so we can each sync our devices, music and so on independently. I can't seem to find documentation on how to do this. I also have older Macs that cannot upgrade to Lion and am not happy about the forced upgrade in order to use iCloud. Any help would be appreciated.

The Master Account and the Sub-Accounts in the Family Pack can each be migrated individually at http://me.com/move and will become entirely separate iCloud accounts. Each can then carry out its own syncing.
In order to use most of iCloud's facilities you need Lion 10.7.2, and you should carry out the migration on a Lion Mac for all accounts in order to get the calendars and contacts transferred to the equivalent iCloud account.
On machines with earlier systems you can set Mail up manually to access iCloud email:

Tiger and Leopard machines cannot access any other iCloud facilities. Snow Leopard machines may be able to use calendar syncing by means of the method detailed here - this is an unsupported hack and may not be reliable, and may stop working at some future point. BusyCal is an iCal-like calendar application with extra facilities: it can sync with the iCloud Calendar while running on Leopard, Snow Leopard or Lion.

Unfortunately at this time apple does not support buying extra storage via a gift card or pre-paid account.

Yes. You don't need to set up or use additional iCloud accounts on your phone to do this. You can track any device using Find My iPhone from your phone by downloading the free Find My iPhone app, then in the app signing into the iCloud ID that the device(s) you are trying to track are using.

My family has several iPads. Originally they were all set up under my Apple account. I'd like to set up one of them to be under my wife's Apple account. I read where to do that I need to delete the iCloud account from that particular iPad and create a new one (for her).
My question is, if I delete the account from one iPad, will it affect the other iPads? Will that accont be deleted across all iPads? What are the repercussions for deleting the iCloud account on a single iPad in an environment where there are multiple computers, multiple iPads and multiple users?

If I understand correctly you are unable to use the password reset email that gets sent because you cannot identify the email address that one of the iPads is registered to, and you cannot reset the security questions because the date of birth is being rejected. At this point you may need to reach out to the Account Security team for additional assistance. Keep in mind you will need to verify the account information to receive support.

If you can't reset your security questions
If you couldn't send a reset email, don't have a rescue email address, or can't access email at your rescue email address, contact Apple Support. Apple may ask you to generate a temporary support PIN to verify your identity. After you reset your security questions, you might want to update your rescue email address.

Can I use gift card with iTunes to buy additional iCloud storage on my ipad2

I need to purchase additional iCloud storage. My question is I have a couple gift cards with iTunes. Can I use one or both gift cards to buy this additional storage? Thank you. I await a response.

According to Apple, payment methods accepted include iTunes store credit, credit cards, and debit cards. Presumably this means that if you redeem the gift card to create an iTunes store credit, the upgrade would be charged against this credit. If you want to confirm this, call the Apple online store at the number shown at the bottom of this page.

Additional iCloud account on new iCloud photos or findmyfriends app?

Can anyone think of a workaround for this? I am using the iCloud Photos beta and it is great so far. I wanted to add it to my wife's iPhone as we share a photo library. The only way I could see how to do it was to add my iCloud account as the primary on her iPhone and then add her email etc as a secondary account. Not ideal but working ok.
The problem I now have is that findmyfriends app will only use my iCloud account and therefore will not show my wife's location. We rarely use the app but some of her family do. Is there a workaround for this? Would creating a shared family account be a better option?
I wish Apple would realise that people do like to share entire photo libraries etc!

It's only a workaround, but you could use the find iPhone app instead of Find Friends when viewing your wife's location.

How do I set up a new Icloud account on my phone. When I 1st set up Icloud I used and apple account that both me and my husband used. Now I would like to have my own account but don't want to delete our joint account because that is what he is going to use.

Please be aware that you cannot "buy some additional GB to [your] iPad"; the storage capacity of the iPad is fixed at the time of manufacture. You can buy additional iCloud storage, but that's not the same thing.

Thanks... I appreciate the reply. Since I wrote the previous email, I actually went and changed my apple id (the main id) and the documentation I looked at said iCloud will set mail up automatically(?)... I had it working before.
Also, I tried to manually set up the ID via the Mail Accounts screen(s) and I can't figure out what my server information is... Pop or Imap? What's the outgoing server and the incoming server?
I typically have never had problems setting up mail accounts (in apple mail) with no problem.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

(You could setup additional iCloud accounts under separate AppleIDs and just use the email part of them, but they won't be integrated into your original iCloud account).

Added another iCloud account to iPhone 5 now cannot access internet or email

I have just purchased an iPhone 5 for my wife. When I set up I used my iCloud account. This morning I added a new iCloud account for her. Her iCloud account does not appear on the phone and now she cannot get on the internet or get mail. She gets two error messages every time she tries to get mail or search the internet . The messages read: cannot get mail the connection to server failed and the other message is the mail server "pop3.live.con" is not responding. Verify that you have correct account info in mail setting.
Everything was working fine until I set up the additional iCloud account on her phone. Any help you could offer will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It sounds like the network connection from the phone to the internet is not working correctly.
This is where I would recommend starting your troubleshooting:

Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
If that doesnt resolve the issue, I would next try this section from down toward the bottom:

If you're using a public or commercial network, you may need to log in or subscribe.
Check to see if you have a self-assigned IP address:
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected and tap .
If your IP address is 169.254.xxx.xxx, you may not be able to access the Internet.
If you do not have a self-assigned IP address, see if other Wi-Fi devices on your network have Internet access.
If they do not, consult with your network administrator or ISP for further assistance.
If they do, reset network settings on your device by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
recently used Bluetooth accessories
VPN and APN settings

Are you trying to make the purchase with a gift card, additional iCloud storage can only be bought with a credit card.

Change icloud account in photos

this question falls into the family sharing category. i have my photos stored on one mac mini that uses my icloud subscription. it is the only use i have for icloud. it is possible for me to more fully share the photos in icloud with my wife? i am looking for a solution that gives her fuller access to the photos to edit and move them around between files? ideally she would be able to open my account in her photos app -- but she uses icloud to back up her iphone and other things that make impractical for her to simply sign into my icloud account.
the browser link isn't much good for full access to the photos for editing and repackaging purposes. it is fine for viewing and minimal restructuring. but we have over 40,000 photos and she is the one who deals with most editing and organizational aspects. she uses a relatively new imac.
is there a way to share the full library/icloud account so that editing and other restructuring of the photos can be done by someone else? short of that, is it possible to change the icloud account on a computer (in this case so the photos on my computer are uploaded to her account)? thanks for any advice.

You can have more than one iCloud account on a computer, but only the main iCloud account will have the Photos option to use. The additional account can use email, address book, etc.
Before changing account, you need to disable iCloud Photo Library on the mini. Make sure the entire library is downloaded to the mini. You can do that in Photos preferences and choose the download option and not the Optimize option.
Then you can sign into the mini with your wife's apple id. She will have to purchase the storage space and you can stop paying for the additional storage on your account. Upload the library to her iCloud Photo Library. Then it will appear on her computer.
This will give her access and control of the library. In order for you to see it the same way, you will have to sign in with her apple id as the main account or use sharing options.
Or, your wife can just sign into your apple id. Depending on her iCloud use, that may be easier. Backing up her iPhone will still be done if her iPhone is logged into her apple id.
Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes can be used with a additional iCloud account.
You will just have to give more info on what iCloud services you both use if this doesn't answer your question.
