  • S750 Audio Control Pod power problem?

Hi everyone,After powered on for 2 days, my Audio Control Pod of S750 gets power intermittently. Every time it lost power, all volumes were reset. Sometime, there is still sound when there is no power to Audio Control pod.Any advises, thanks.

From my search to this forum, I found some possible causes which I will try of course and will help also people with future problems:

    Hi
According to my broken POD (see page 26 to know about my problem), unfortunately I found that the CPU (the 24 pins chip named M34502E4FP) is broken.
In order to help other guys, having similar problems, I explain the problem I found in my POD in order you can verify if your POD can be repaired or not.
The probelm in my POD is in the RESET pin (pin 6) of the CPU. It is SC (internally) while it should be set to 5 V (5V is applied to R9 which is then connected to C and also to the RESET pin of the CPU. C is then connected to the ground). In case the RESET pin is not set to a value about 5 V, all the LEDs in the POD are switched off and you cannot also switch on the system.
Unfortunately this chip cannot be replaced with a new one (you can buy on Internet) because it has also to be programmed (e.g. it contains also EPROM, CMOS controlling the volume for bass, sub etc...).
My problem is now to buy a new POD. Can someone of you sell me a working POD?
So in this case looks like, the cause is the pod. Now looking for new pod...

  • Gigaworks S750 audio control pod - headphone jack

Apparently the headphone jack in the audio control pod has stopped working. I plug a working pair of headphones in and get no sound at all. If I fiddle around with wires in the sub, I get some clicking, but no other audio comes through.
The only thing I can think of is a recent storm knocked out power while my headphones were plugged in. Previously I had been using them with just the audio control pod hooked up (recent move), and they were working fine. Anyways just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.
    Thanks!

  • Problem recording from Line-in (Audio Control Pod)... NOT THE TIPICAL OBVIOUS PROBLEM (I think X

    Hi guys!!
I have a little problem and i have think you could help me...
I'm trying to connect my electric guitar to my Audigy 2 ZS... My problem is that i connect the AMPLIFIED output of my guitar to Line-In in Audio Control Pod of my T7700 speakers... I Can hear the what i'm playing from my speakers but I can't record anything... I check all the obviuos things, like I have selected Analog Mixer (Line/CD/TAD/...) from Surround Mixer Tab drivers (Rec tab) and in Control Panel of Windows too. What am i doing bad?...
    Thank you for your help!

May have already been answered, but, hey, what the heck, I've got free time:
Allow me to clarify. Plug your guitar into the Line-In on your <EM>sound card</EM>. Plugging it into your speakers only uses your speakers as an amp.
Then, in Creative Recorder select Line-In as the source.
Speakers, unless they're plugged into the mic jack on your sound card (which they shouldn't be), do not transmit data back to the PC.
EDIT: Line-in is this thingie (( )) with an arrow pointing inside.Message Edited by ghostrecon09 on 02-22-2005 05:4 AM

  • Vollume control pod for i-trigue 3400

volume control went bad. i suspect it is 50k pot w/switch. is anybody knows where to find one? i tryed local electronic stores including radioshek, no luck. creative refuses to help. please nelp. thanks, herman

    Hi,
    Have you tried eBay?
    Link: http://popular.ebay.com/business-ind...ometer-50k.htm?
I am not sure about the exact component used since I am not tech support but you should be able to do a one to one comparison before making a purchase. I am assuming that the warranty have expired and you are planning to repair it on your own.

  • Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro and Inspire T7700 does not recognize Mic on Audio Control

    Hi folks,
I decided to hook up my headphone and mic sets to the Audio Control Pod for the first time recently to chat online. I'm not sure if I ever tried this when I bought the Inspire T7700 speaker system, but I cannot seem to get any voice to come through in Windows' Sound Recorder (the headphones work fine). I'm hoping that someone here can help...otherwise, I suppose I'll have to find an alternate solution than using my soundcard system.
    Here are some specs:
OS: Windows XP SP2 and all current updates
Soundcard: Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro
Speakers: Inspire T7700 with Audio Control Pod (contains the headphone and mic jack)
    Here's what I have tried:
    . Updated drivers to: SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_006.exe
    2. Tested headsets and mics out on another one of my computers with a SoundBlaster Li've. They work fine.
    3. Set each audio source with full volume in the Recording Control window as the source while recording in Windows' Sound Recorder (I know some of these aren't right, but I tried them all nonetheless):
    - MIDI Synth
    - Line-In 3
    - Line-In /Mic (this should be the one, I think)
    - S/PDIF-In
    - Auxiliary (this might be the one for the Audio Control Pod)
    - "What U Hear"
    - Line-In 2
    - CD Digital
    - Wave
    4. Installed the Creative software from the official CD to manage the audio and speaker settings. Retested the same as item 3 above within this software. Same results.
    5. Disconnected the external I/O hub (since I am connecting to the Audio Control Pod, which connects to the speaker system and then my sound card). Interestingly, the Line-In /Mic input disappeared. All that I saw for an input (I believe) was Auxiliary. I tried even that as noted in item 3, but nothing.
Has anyone had any luck in getting a mic from a headphone set to work with the Audio Control Pod for the Inspire T7700 speaker system along with the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Read the FAQ on top of the soundcard forum concerning SPDIF and digital out. The reason is very easy to find out if you read that. In short: the digital out can only send out a PCM stereo signal (which is why you only get FL/FR sound) and an encoded AC-3 signal.

  • Preserving audio level settings on Gigaworks S750

I noticed that when the Standby mode is enabled on the Control Pod of the S750 amplifier, all the level settings are preserved when power is reenabled.
However, when the main power rocker switch on the subwoofer/amp is turned off, those settings are lost. Too bad those settings aren't stored internally.
Not sure about others, but I think it is a good idea to be able to power-down the entire system and have those settings preserved.
BTW, exactly what does the Standby mode do? Presumably it conserves power but are there any other benefits?

Yup, this has been noted a number of times by users.Another "would be nice" feature is a way to manually override the master level adjustment in the case where the control pod fails. Not sure about others, and I imagine this is a basic safety issue, but I find that when powered off, and than back on, the level settings are rather low.

Just in case you buy one (and you should), I put a tutorial
on how to set it up with Logic. The manual is not really
clear on everything. Just go here
    http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=16210#16210
It should get you up and running.
P.S. the BCF also does let you control Plugin
parameters along with 32 presets you can customize
    it to your workflow.

  • If I buy an I-pod touch 4th generation now for a gift next Christmas, will everything be fine with it?

I want to buy an I-pod touch for my child for a Christmas gift for next year.  If I buy it and store it, will everything be OK with the battery etc.
    Thanks

No recommended since the battery wants to be used, not stored for eleven months or so. Storing it for 11 monts without using it can permentrly damage/shorten the life of the battery.
    Use iPod Regularly
For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month. If you use your iPod infrequently (gasp), you might want to add a reminder to your calendar program.

  • S750: control pod flashing red led READ AND HELP!

Hi, basically my S750 set of speakers isnt working correctly. When im listening to music and start to pump the voloume up it just stops and the control pod goes back to standy mode with the red led light. Sometime it keeps flashing and I can hear a clicking noise coming from the sub, when the control pod was flashing and the sub was making a clicking noise i looked at the back and saw the green light flickering. Can anybody help me please

I did thing is its really a lot of hassle. Im based in England, and I need to call a number in dublin (International call) and then pay 6.75 to a 'tutoring session' which will last 30 minutes. That's why I was trying to resolve my problem on here, they don't even know what it could be either. I have dropped my control pod a few times on the floor, so i don't know if it could be faulty now, like a wire may have come loose inside, but then that doesn't explain when i try and play fall power it all cuts out, what do you think?

  • T7700 control pod headphone jack not working

I recently moved my PC and it seems in the process that the control pod headphone jack has stopped working, I've tried headphones and a speaker cable to connect up to my tv and there's just nothing apart from the pop/click when I plug them in so I'm assuming there's power getting to them.
I've checked all the cables and they're all in where they should be, this is just a really strange and very annoying problem as I know Creative don't sell replacement pods - although they did used to sell a wireless one with a remote but now I can't even find that for sale on the site.
Anyone had the same/similar problem and been able to fix it's
    Thanks

Okay, so when I said all the cables were where they should be they actually kind of weren't, but they were where I've always had them (I had the green and black cables the wrong way round) and I had the speakers - I'm only running a 2.1 setup right now - in the rear ports. I've now corrected it and audio is now coming through my headphone jack once again, really odd how it worked all that time before though.

  • X220 Smart Audio Control Panel failed to initialize smart audio

Cannot seem to start Smart Audio control panel get error every time.  Currently running latest driver 8.32.23.2.  Can anybody please help?  I need to access the Smart Audio to control displayport audio settings.  Aside from that the audio seems to work fine.

Yes, this is what I thought also. But I don't think it does. It has the s-bracket JSP2 connector but it (s-bracket) doesnt work.
It really doesnt matter now though as you can see I listed it on ebay with my old cpu. I will likely buy me an EPoX 8RDA+. It outperforms the 6570 in performance and has all the bells and whistles.
MSI has some horrible customer service. However, I must admit you have been very responsive and helpful but, you are not live tech suport.
I do appreciate it nonetheless.  :D
I called their support long distance number and was on hold for about 45 minutes, off and on, and the last time I was on hold I put my phone on speakerphone and went in the other room. The guy came back on said, "hello sir? Hel..Click!" I didn't have time to say anything!  I was so pissed I wanted to take my motherboard back right then. He kept having to ask other people questions about my problem. It was just plain rediculous. That is just one of the reasons this motherbaord is on ebay. I about to put my MSI Geforce4 4600 vtd on ebay also because I dont want to have to deal with MSI CS.
Thank you again, for all your help

  • Creative I-Trigue 3300 Control Pod Issue

On my I-Trigue 3300's, my control pod seems to be an issue as every once in a while, the volume with fluctuate without provocation. This has been happening for probably about 2 years now. They're solid speakers and I don't want to have to replace the whole set, and the issue isn't really a huge problem, but merely an annoyance and mainly occurs when I first turn on the speakers. I don't mind getting my hands dirty and digging into the pod if anyone has any suggestions. I know Creative doesn't sell the control pod itself, otherwise I would consider just buying one.

I have the same exact problem, but I can't return mine because I moved 3 hours away from the place I got it What did u end up doing to fix it, and is it something that I can fix? I really do not want to spend time sending them back to the company for the new set, that takes forever, not to mention the shipping cost >_> I had to do the same thing for my Eclipse 2 keyboard cuz of bad keys... please help me

  • Inspire control pod intermittent

I did a forum search but did not find this specificaly.
I have 2 inspire systems. The T-5500 (I think this is it) a 2.1 sys. and the Inspire T-7900 7.1. They both have the same control pod. BOTH of them, out of the box, began having the problem of fading in and out. They fade the vollume level. The green backlighting dims in and out concurrently with the audio. Jiggling the control wheel stops it.
Anyone else with this? Or is it only a coincidence that I got it twice with 2 brand new systems?

I have the exact same problem (vol goes up and down) - in fact this seems to be a very common problem... Creative should do something about this. Even if owners are willing to pay for a fixed volume controller, they are not even stocking this item with the excuse that it's discontinued... sure but I personally feel they can do better as this seems to be a real problem most FPS2000 users are experiencing...

  • Lost Beats Audio Control Panel, Windows Experience Index and HP Power Manager on fresh install...

    HP Pavilion m6-1035dx, product B5S06UA#ABA
Please help! I installed a 240gb SanDisk Extreme SSD and a fresh install of Win 7 home premium 64-bit OEM. I did not reinstall the factory OS and all that goes along with it. I have managed to reinstall all drivers (it seems) but am having the following problems: 1) I have installed IDT HD Audio Driver sp56953 but it does not provide the Beats Audio control panel, any idea how to get it? 2) The Windows Experience Index will not provide a performance evaluation, something in the system is providing it with an error message when it attempts to rate the system and it stops. 3) I have installed HP Power Manager sp57398 and can bring up the control panel but the changes I indicate will not stay applied, when I bring up Power Manager again it show that no selections are made. I knew this fresh install was going to provide headaches, please help if you can. Thanks.

I suspect this may all be related to a common cause.
When updating the windows experience index, what is the error message you receive?
Has the video card driver been installed? It is necessary for the windows experience index to complete.
Also, ensure the HP Software Framework is installed.  It is under the Software Solutions category.
You did a clean install of Windows 7. Has all the software and drivers for Windows 7 from HP been installed? Here is a link should you need it.
