Buy Mac book pro in Internet.

I would like to buy a Mac book pro retina in a UAE web site named SUOQ.COM but I'd like to know if then I can buy the apple care as I buy the Mac in a apple store.

Probaby because there is simply no demand. At any rate, there is no one from Apple here. If you want this as a feature, tell Apple:

  • Can you still buy Mac book pro 2010

Hey all, I have been seriouly thinking of buying Mac Book Pro 2010 model (one with Nvidia GPU in it)  I almost bought one few months back, but I couldn't get monthly payment option in Bestbuy.. And I ened up buy Asus laptop lol. As my old desktop cpu was getting old. Anywho.. I use to use Mac long ago in Highschool and they have come a long way since system 7.
I have always wanted a Mac, Tired of mircsoft Bs and all virus/spyware and other crap. Just couldn't afford one.
But hopefully that will be soon.
I have been checking on-line and reading the reviews of the new Mac Book Pro 2011 models. I also notice they are now using ATI/Amd video GPU in then. Most people are not liking them,  Being that I am gamer, I do want decent laptop with atlest half decent video card.  I have read a lot reviews on older Mac book pro's wih Nvida gpu. I myself like Nvidia over Ati.
Anywho i hope I can still get one before they are gone. My Question is...
I love new i7 Cpu in my Asus has 8 cores in it.. Runs at 1.73 ghz & Boost upto 2.9 Ghz.. (intel core i7 740QM cpu )
I'd love get that same Cpu in Mac book Pro with decent Nvida gpu...
Can I still order or buy Macbook pro with Intel i7 cpu and still have Nvidia Gpu. Even though most Mac stores/ other computer stores that sell Mac have 2011 version with Crapy Ati Cards in then?
Or once they gone, They gone? If I can order one, I just dont want miss out on good laptop.
If anybody knows. Please get back to me, So know if I should be concerned or not. Thank you very much
    -Chester

Actaully No...They aren't as good or as fast as Nvidia 330M Gpu..

The older MacBook pro with Nvida Gpu has more memory Bus width.
Faster memory speed and shader speed..
Yes new macbook have faster 4 Core, i7 in them. Where 2010 only
    had 2 cores for i5 and i7..
Check your stats for yourself... the new Ati is also only 64 Bit memory..
Thats going create alot bottlenecks and lag..
If I want to play say.. Portal 2, or Starcraft 2. I'm sure it would lag on ATI card..
My current Asus i7 1.73 ghz  has better ATI Card then curent 2011 MBP.

Hi I have only 2 days in USA to buy Mac Book Pro 13" with Retina display. The issue here is that I'd like to get the westerns spanish keyboard and at the apple store the guy said it will take 6 days. I was wondering if I do the purchase within the express checkout, Will I be able to get the laptop before leaving NY on the 7th of May 2014?
I do not have any experience with the express checkout, actually I do know how it works, any advice please?
    Thanks!!!!

Call the store on the telephne and ask. However, I doubt it since a store would not normally have an item with non-USA features
Also, this is the Mac Pro desktop forum. I requested your post be moved to the MacBook Pro laptop forum

  • Can i buy mac book pro with english keyboard from dubai?

i will visit dubai and i am planning to buy a mac book pro from there. İ wonder if i can buy this mac book pro with an English keyboard and all the manuals in English. Any help on this please?

Actually, you can - but it is special order only - they consider it as a customized unit....You might have to wait a week or two.....
You can check the Apple Store at the Mall of the Emirates and see if they have it in stock....
Or, you can go to Apple's website select UAE as the country and configure it with the US keyboard and wait for delivery...
    Good luck..

  • Why apple did not give middle east any cary and we are have buy mac book pro after 6-6 and apple didnt five *** lion for free like canada and us

  • Buying Mac book Pro in US for use in India.

I want to buy a mac book pro in US, through a friend, for use in India.
What are things I should take care about regarding customs and laws?
Will it work seamlessly or anything is needed to be done? i heard that I may need to get a new charger.
How can i avail student offer, if I can?
    Can I avail Apple financing?
Will there be an internation warranty?
Can I reach an authorized apple retailer in India, in case of a problem?
How much can I really save? Is it worth doing after all?

There are no laws about importing electronics.

Yes you will need a new charger or an adapter to fit your power socket.
    badari31 wrote:

No. You need to show where you are studying. They are not going to accept it if it's in another country.
    badari31 wrote:

You don't reside in America, so no finance company is going to give you a loan from America. You will need to organise finance in India.
    badari31 wrote:

    Yes.

Don't forget to add sales tax to the American price. You will need to work out & decide if this is worth it or not.

  • Buying Mac Book Pro and bringing back to Australia

  • Why doesnt mac book pro wireless  internet not work as well as my macbook

    Hello,
My brother bought a macbook a few months ago, and we are on vacation now. He kept telling me to buy a macbook pro since i liked his so much, so i did. Know that i have it (1 week old) i have not been able to connect to the internet very well at all. If my computar and his are right next to each other, his picks up all of the signals while mine picks up none. Or if his computar is turned off, and im using mine, it connects only sometimes, and if it does, it is not very strong at all.
    Any help???
    thanks

Interference Robustness can help improve connections and reception in areas with cordless phones, microwave ovens, baby monitors... etc.
It's just a suggestion. Click the airport icon on the task bar at the top right of your screen. There'll be an option to use Interference Robustness.
As the previous poster said, the MacBook Pro's aluminium enclosure can mean it get's a weaker signal than the plastic MacBook does.
Switching Interference Robustness on might help you.

  • Brand New 13" Mac Book Pro - Slow Internet

I have seen many questions on this but no guidance as to a solution from Apple Why? I am new to Apple computers and just bought a 13" Macbook Pro but do not yet know my way around it. My Internet (wireless) connection is extremely slow (8Hours for a download that took 15 mins on a Windows Laptop!!!), my battery also runs out after a couple of hours from fully charged.
I need detailed instructions in solving this issue - right now I am considering returning the Mac and replacing it with a windows laptop at one quarter the price. Also, why do Apple not have an e-mail support option for Macbook?
    Look forward to response

Try turning off IPv6 in your connection settings. Thats what worked for me. Battery runs out after "a couple hours" ? Your battery life will depend on many factors such as, screen brightness, wireless settings, bluetooth, etc. I get about 3 hours with my 15 inch from late 2008.

A Basic Guide for Migrating to Intel-Macs
The Knowledgebase article <a href="http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1963?viewlocale=en_US">Intel-based Mac: Some migrated applications may need to be updated</a> refers to methods of dealing with migrating from PowerPC chips to Intel with the Migration Assistant safely. The authors of this tip have not had a chance to verify this works in all instances, or that it avoids the 10.6.1 and earlier Guest Account bug that caused account information to get deleted upon use of the Migration/Setup Assistant. However, a well backed up source that includes at least two backups of all the data that are not connected to your machine will help you avoid potential issues, should they arise. In event it does not work, follow the steps below.
If you are migrating a PowerPC system (G3, G4, or G5) to an Intel-Mac be careful what you migrate.  Keep in mind that some items that may get transferred will not work on Intel machines and may end up causing your computer's operating system to malfunction.
Rosetta supports "software that runs on the PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor that are built for Mac OS X". This excludes the items that are not universal binaries or simply will not work in Rosetta:
    >Classic Environment, and subsequently any Mac OS 9 or earlier applications
    >Screensavers written for the PowerPC
    >System Preference add-ons
    >All Unsanity Haxies
    >Browser and other plug-ins
    >Contextual Menu Items
    >Applications which specifically require the PowerPC G5
    >Kernel extensions
    >Java applications with JNI (PowerPC) libraries</li>
    See also <a href="http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/universal_binary/univ ersal_binary_exec_a/chapter_950_section_1.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40002217-CH 210-TPXREF101">What Can Be Translated by Rosetta</a>.
In addition to the above you could also have problems with migrated cache files and/or cache files containing code that is incompatible.
If you migrate a user folder that contains any of these items, you may find that your Intel-Mac is malfunctioning. It would be wise to take care when migrating your systems from a PowerPC platform to an Intel-Mac platform to assure that you do not migrate these incompatible items.
If you have problems with applications not working, then completely uninstall said application and reinstall it from scratch. Take great care with Java applications and Java-based Peer-to-Peer applications. Many Java apps will not work on Intel-Macs as they are currently compiled. As of this time Limewire, Cabos, and Acquisition are available as universal binaries. Do not install browser plug-ins such as Flash or Shockwave from downloaded installers unless they are universal binaries. The version of OS X installed on your Intel-Mac comes with special compatible versions of Flash and Shockwave plug-ins for use with your browser.
The same problem will exist for any hardware drivers such as mouse software unless the drivers have been compiled as universal binaries. For third-party mice the current choices are USB Overdrive or SteerMouse. Contact the developer or manufacturer of your third-party mouse software to find out when a universal binary version will be available.
Also be careful with some backup utilities and third-party disk repair utilities. Disk Warrior 4.1, TechTool Pro 4.6.1, SuperDuper 2.5, and Drive Genius 2.0.2 work properly on Intel-Macs with Leopard.  The same caution may apply to the many "maintenance" utilities that have not yet been converted to universal binaries.  Leopard Cache Cleaner, Onyx, TinkerTool System, and Cocktail are now compatible with Leopard.
Before migrating or installing software on your Intel-Mac check <a href="http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20060126094146180">MacFixit's Rosetta Compatibility Index</a>.

<a href="http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25773">Transferring data with Setup Assistant - Migration Assistant FAQ</a>
Because Migration Assistant isn't the ideal way to migrate from PowerPC to Intel Macs, using Target Disk Mode, copying the critical contents to CD and DVD, an external hard drive, or networking
will work better when moving from PowerPC to Intel Macs.   The initial section below discusses Target Disk Mode.  It is then followed by a section which discusses networking with Macs that lack Firewire.
<b>If both computers support the use of Firewire then you can use the following instructions</b>:
    1. Repair the hard drive and permissions using Disk Utility.
    2. Backup your data.  This is vitally important in case you make a mistake or there's some other problem.
    3. Connect a Firewire cable between your old Mac and your new Intel Mac.
    4. Startup your old Mac in Target Disk Mode.
    5. Startup your new Mac for the first time, go through the setup and registration screens, but do NOT migrate data over. Get to your desktop on the new Mac without migrating any new data over.
<b>If you are not able to use a Firewire connection (for example you have a Late 2008 MacBook that only supports USB:)</b>
    1. Set up a local home network: <a href="http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1433">Creating a small Ethernet Network</a>.

  • Which designing software I can run on mac book pro?

    Hi,
I am an engineering student. I need to use designing software such as ansys, catia, autocad, pro-e, and many more. Also I have plan to buy mac book pro. I need to know which designing software I can run on mac machine and what specification it should have? Thank you.

2.2 Ghz 15" MacBook Pro with high res anti-glare would be the best machine for you.
The 17" is fine too if you want a larger screen.
The 1GB Radeon 6750M video card will give you all you need for GPU performance for eh next 3-5 years or longer.
So the above is a future proof choice for the long haul.
(avoid the 13" and the 2.0 ghz 15", not so good graphics performance)
The anti-glare because you going to using your laptop in many different enviroments and your not going to be able to control the lights, etc to reduce the screen reflections. money well spent to see your screen properly.
Mac's can run a lot of software, they can also direct boot into Windows for Windows only programs.
Windows can also run inside OS X using virtual machine software like VMFusion (Apple likes) and Parallels, just takes a 50% performance hit on 3D games and animation.
Another nifty thing is if you set up a "bootcamp" partition of Windows for direct boot, virtual machine software can use that as a copy for the virtual machine OS in OS X. So no need to double install.
Also if your geekish, you can make a Mac triple boot. OS X, Windows and Linux too. So all software is avaiable with full hardwre perfromance.
I have a trible boot machine, also I run about 9 other operating systems on my 17" MacBook Pro in virtual machine as it's good enough for me (not a hard core 3D gamer) and easy to manage.

  • Choosing mac book pro

hi, im an engineering student and i'm looking forward to buy mac book pro. which one is better for me?i think 13 inch is portable and light but it is compatible with autocad inventor and matlab software?or should i wait for the new version of mac book pro to come out and probably they will upgrade the graphic card.

Autocad is available from the Mac App Store in several versions ranging from free to $900. They will run on any MacBook Pro. Not sure about Matlab - check its website for system requirements.
13 inch might be a tad small for serious design work, but that's just my opinion. I would consider a 17 inch model much more comfortable. I do most of my work on a 21" iMac and it's adequate - I would not want to spend my time designing on a 13 inch monitor all day, though its resolution is very good. Of course you need portability as well so you have to compromise.
No one knows about future Mac products or their specifications. We know when they become available.
