Buy or build shopping cart?/

I'm redesigning a publishing site which accepts subs payments
online. As the site only offers different options i am tempted to
design a shopping cart myself. I was wondering if any one knows of
core security issues i need to consider first, or if it really is
better to buy a shopping cart to add onto the site? thanks

Hi,
No need to pay and buy any shopping cart applications since
there are lot of other free CF applications like (CFShopkart) that
you can download and use.. Also when it comes to security you may
go for SSL certificates especially for the payment pages...

  • Want to purchase using a shopping cart - preference change won't stay

I purchase a lot of songs from the iTunes Store, and want to use the shopping cart. I went to the Edit menu, selected Preferences, clicked on the Store tab, and clicked on the button that says "Buy using a Shopping Cart." I don't see a place to click OK or save change anywhere, so I click the red close button at the top of the box. The program will not save the change I request, instead, when I repeat the process, I find the option reset to "Buy and download using 1-Click." How do I set that change? Thanks.

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 10.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data because all profile folders will be removed.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
If that still gives problems then create a new profile.

  • Shopping cart connection problems (5002)

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request.
    An unknown error occured (5002).
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."
every time i try to access my iTunes shopping cart, i get that message. i have no problem with the iTunes store itself, just the shopping cart. i did the Keychain First Aid, and thats not the problem. i just want to know if anyone else who recently downloaded iTunes 8.1.1 is having the same issue. if you know how to fix it, that would be awesome advice too. i even tried re-installing 8.1.1 but it didn't help.

    Hi everyone,
I had this problem as well today. I managed to fix the issue this way:
Go into the iTunes preferences and change the store preference from "buy using a shopping cart" to "buy and download using 1-click". Ok the change and then close iTunes. You need to close down iTunes or this fix will not work. Now re-open iTunes and you should be able to purchase from the store without the 5002 error. Well .. it worked for me at least. Good luck everybody!

  • Incorrect Buy on Behalf name displayed for Deleted Shopping Cart

    Hi All,
The issue is with the deleted Shopping Carts.
In case of non deleted Shopping carts the Buy on behalf field displays correct value.
I debugged and found that there is a bug in standard code itself.
In class /SAPSRM/IF_CLL_MAPPER~REFRESH, the code is written for non deleted and deleted SC to read the buy on behalf value.
In case of non-deleted the of condition reads the item values and  item guid is exported to patner table that returns the buy on behalf value.
But in case of deleted SC the
the else condition is executed where the requestor id is used to get the patner table which inturn gives us the buy on behalf value.
The difference is with the requestor id (MV_REQUESTOR_ID) in both cases.
In case of non deleted SC the requestor ID is different and in case of deleted Sc the requestor id is the vlaue of one who currently is viewing the SC.
    Kindly help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Rahul

  • Error trying to Buy using shopping cart

    Hi,
I added the iTunes Essentials: Green Day - The Basics, to my shopping cart yesterday. When I go to the cart and click Buy, I get the following message: +"Purchase of this item is not currently available. This item is being modified. Please try again later."+ Any ideas about what might be going on here? Is there any way to contact Apple about this problem?
    Thanks,
    Ray

I contacted support and got some "canned" answer about trying again in 72 hours. I tried removing the songs from the cart and re-adding them, but that didn't work either. I'm going to try and buy it directly instead of adding it to my cart and see what happens then. I don't hold out much hope.

  • Invisible song in Shopping Cart - can't buy, can't delete

Just before the store started having problems on 11/26, I added a song to my shopping cart. But the shopping cart shows as empty. If I try to add the song again, I get an error saying it's already in the shopping cart, and it won't add it again. So I can't delete it, because it's not there, and I can't buy it, because it's not there, but I can't add it, because it is there. How do I get around this?

    Hello Marco,
Have a look at BBP_GET_CURRENCIES_F4 function module and its corresponding search-help exit (according to your SRM release) to know how is managed value for max row number.
Maybe method GET_CURRENCY from BAdI BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY could help you.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

  • Shopping cart - remove songs, buy multiple songs?

With version 7 I can't remove songs that are in my shopping cart - the 'clear' option is gone from the Edit menu and the right click.
Also would like to purchase more than 1 song at a time but not the whole cart. I tried selecting and purchasing but it still only does 1. Any way around this?
    thanks

Hello and Happy New Year psobb!
I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles removing items from your cart. I can imagine that would be very frustrating, and I would be happy to help.
The previous instances of this issue seemed to resolve themselves after about 24-48 hours. With that said, there are certainly some things you can do that may also help correct this. We suggest performing these tasks in the order listed:
Log out of your BestBuy.com account
Clear all cookies, cache, and history information from your browser. Close the browser and reopen BestBuy.com
Add the item you’re wanting to purchase to your cart (currently as a guest)
Go to the checkout page and login to your account as a returning customer
Attempt to remove the previously unavailable item if it’s still there
After performing these steps, please let me know if this was successful! If not, I would suggest trying a different browser all together, or trying on our mobile website via a smartphone.
I hope this helps, and please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance from me.
Thank you for posting here on the forum!

  • PHP-building my own shopping cart

    Hi all
Has anyone tried to build their own shopping cart?
Besides a secure space on a server, does anyone know a little
bit about what building a shopping
    cart entails?
I am using PHP and I would look into integrating the shopping
    Cart with authorize.net...
Authorize.net has some documentation for developpers about
this, so I'll look into it, but I just
wondered if this was something anybody had done, and if this
was accessible to someone like me (I
know my PHP pretty good) if this is way over-the-top
    complicated.

  • "Buy Now" won't work.  Can't buy music, but my Shopping Cart is loaded.

Since the beginning of June I cannot buy music from Apple. My iTunes works perfectly in all respects except one -- I can't purchase anything.
The diagnostic indicates an "unknowe error" in the the Music Store. Everything else on my PS=C works fine, including all three Internet browsers -- FoxFire, Internet Explorer, and Opera.
Emails to iTunes remain unanswered. Their promise to answer eMails within 24 hours is a lie.
    Anyone else have this problem?
    Geogordon

i have the same exact problem. music store works. itunes works like a charm otherwise but i can't buy music because it says my shopping cart and i must delete or buy items, but when i try to access my shopping cart it just won't open....i don't even get an error message it just "thinks" for abit and then stops with the shopping bag completely unloaded

  • "Your Shopping Cart's Contents Have Changed" and unable to buy

I'm having a similar problem to what others have reported, but with a symptom I haven't seen mentioned. When I attempt to purchase the albums in the cart an alert is raised saying that, "Your Shopping Cart's Contents Have Changed". My cart isn't being updated from another computer, I can assure you.
I deleted all items from the cart and readded them. That didn't help.
I've successfully bought a lot of music through iTMS but over the last couple of days this problem has appeared. Very annoying.

It may be that Apple is in discussions with that label/artist in about use. If that is the case one of the songs or the whole cd is not purchaseable but still listed in iTMS. I had it happen with me.

  • Classic ASP shopping Cart

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
I'm looking for a 'comprehensive' shopping cart system

It needs to have a fully functioning admin (backend) system

  • Cannot open Shopping Cart

Ever since I updated to iTunes for Windows version 7, I have not been able to open my shopping cart. When I click on the cart, I see the "Accessing iTunes Store..." and process bar animation in the LCD for a moment and then I get the following message in a popup dialog:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (5002).
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.
This has been going on for over a week.
I have no network issues that I am aware of (see diagnostic info), it just started after I upgraded to version 7.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I have switched to and back from one-click buying (one-click buying worked by the way, I hope this isn't a ploy to get us all to move to one-click, because that would suck).
Can someone fix my shopping cart or tell me what I can do to fix it?
I would also like to complain about the general bugginess of this version. I can't seem to run anything else on my PC without iTunes stuttering the music playback. This is the first time I've ever had playback performance issues - nothing else has changed on my system but the version of iTunes.

Most people get this error message when they add a song to there cart and the store changes something about the song, like its location, size, date ect ect causing songs to get "Stuck" in the cart you will have to contact the music store by email on this so they can fix it on there side. • How to setup Multilingual Shopping Cart with same currency?

    Hi Everyone,
I would like to ask if it is possible to setup a shopping cart where the prices for the products are staying in the same currency but the language of the cart is changed.
    Example:
Setting up a shopping cart for a New York located Hungarian Bakery where we give an option to teh visitor to choose language.
Off course I will create 2 sets of pages for English and Hungarian but when they get to the point of buying a product
they will enter to the shopping cart catalogs, etc...
Since the store will only deliver to the United States, we have to keep the currency in $US, not to change to Hungary's official currency (Forint),
but I would love to change the language of the shopping cart text to Hungarian, example: Catalog>Cookies  ideally changed to  Katalogus>Sutemenyek.
    Since the number of layouts for catalogs, product views and shopping cart are limited;
Should we use javascript to replace text everywhere where it occurs?
If we do this, How can you detect which languages where are currently using?
Another direction: Is Liquid Layout will suits better?
Liquid have limitations for the number of layouts?
Is Liquid become an official supported Alpha ever?
**I didn't started to experience on Liquid yet cause BC states that it is not recommended for production sites, only a Beta testing environment still...
thank you for all of you if you can take time and answer my questions for the benefits of all of us,

    Liam,
Thank You for caring to get back to me! You rule!
by the way, I have the jquery translator opened in another tab the results to Hungarian are funny though...
There is so much NO in BC land
Crucial things that BC supposed to address fast (i know that i am talking to myself here )
    - more than one layouts for catalogs and products (is that so hard to scale this system)
**the time we are waiting for basic functions was enough to assembly a programmer team and build out the system
entirely, based on PHP and MySQL so we can join developers and make million useful plugins, widgets!
    - add filters by tags to sort by price, weight, name, etc ...
    - enable multiple shipping addresses
    - add RMA functions (return merchandise)
    - integrate with shipworks or make a plugin for BC so we can automate order processing, labels, tracking number postbacks...
I ran into something every week and the answer is always wait and not possible

  • Integrating flash videos into shopping cart

    Hi everyone,
Absolute flash newbie talking here so please be patient.
I have shopping cart we sites and want to show a number of
flash videos per product. The titles may differ per product or in
some cases a product will show the same video as another product.
What I would like to achieve is the integration of a flash
player (with thumbnail list of videos) into the shopping cart.
Somewhere I can manage a list of videos and relate them to
products, and when a customer selects a product page the relevant
product videos are listed in the players thumbnail list and they
can select what they want to view from that list of relevant vids.
The things I think I do know are:
    * In addition to our web server of the shop content, I will
need to have a streaming server set-up - I have started with a
    hosting FMIS.
What I have no idea about is:
    * Is there an off the shelf product that can do this for me?
I don't really want to become a flash expert nor buy every flash
authouring product required to build something myself. I would
really like to just purchase an off the shelf player solution with
admin tool, and encoding software to convert current videos to flv.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated and eagerly
    awaited

    Hi
To answer your query, Adobe muse is just a website designing software where you develop websites without writing any code, the option you looking for is more specific to the hosting provider and if you using third part hosting, you may want to get in touch with them to know how you may connect the same to their service.
By any chance, If you are hosting site with Business catalyst, you may want to refer to : Integrating Intuit QuickBooks with your site to know how you may integrate tool like Quick books to manage orders placed on your site.
    I hope this helps.

I've added a buy now button and I want that to take them to another page where they can customize the bed and then purchase it online. You can look at it if you'd like; www.dremata.com
I have a google checkout account, which comes with a shopping cart widget but it's limited and I need a shopping cart with more options/more customizeable because there are a lot of different options the customer can pick that effect price.
I've been googling shopping carts for 6 hours now. Everything I've found turns out to be an entire online store. Which I'm not looking for, because I've already designed my website and set up the product pages. I'm just looking to add a shopping cart. I can't, for the life of me, find a premade shopping cart that I can just add to my site. At this point, I'm assuming I'm really ignorant on the subject and you can't do that?
I don't know too much about shopping carts, or how they work. So if anyone could help me out, let me know what my options are and the different ways to add a shopping cart, I'd really appreciate it!
    - Thanks

You've made a common newbie mistake of putting the wagon ahead of the horse.  Ideally, you should build your site pages within your shopping cart system.  IOW, the product IDs, descriptions, prices, options, etc... are stored in server-side databases.  Content is dynamically populated to your site pages.  This is the price of doing things on your own without first consulting an expert.  All is not lost though.  Find out which programming languages your server supports (ASP, PHP, ColdFusion...)
Have a look at Cartweaver and Web Assist  They each have e-commerce extensions that can be used with DW.
    Good luck,
