Buying a copy of CS6 Master Collection from someone

Hello,
I found an ad on craigslist for a person selling a copy of CS6 Master Collection. I was going to meet with them but then saw you can only download to 2 computers and cannot use simultaneously. When I expressed that concern to the seller he claimed he has the pro edition and that it is not the case. He claims he gets 3 downloads and that I would be the last download and it would register directly to me. Is that the case? I read online that you would have to do a license transfer if you buy used from someone. I am very scared to get ripped off, I am a student and do not have a bunch of extra money to spend but need this software for my schooling. What should I do?

If it smells fishy... it's fishy.. and this smells more than fishy. A single user license allows for only two activated installations. The software is registered to one person, the owner. If the plan for the seller is to retain the software and use of it while pretending to sell you a portion of that license.... walk away and don't look back.
If you sell a license there is a formal transfer that must take place.

first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.

mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
if you're using a mac:
1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.

Then it gives me options under drop down menu but Master Collection CS6 is the only one not appearing in a drop down menu.

Your CS6 must have been purchased as an upgrade. What it is asking you to select/provide is the name/serial number of the previous version you purchased that qualifies you to install and activate the CS6 upgrade version... this would be likely be one of CS3 thru CS5.5.

Can't install Adobe CS6 Master Collection (from school, not purchased)

I've had an activated CS6 Master Collection free from my school, and now that I have a new laptop and have deactivated the old laptop, I can't download CS6. I click on the "more information" through adobe creative cloud and try what the community help page says, where you select a drop-down field and select cs6 instead of CC, but there is no such field. I've attached an image as proof of what I'm seeing. I'm running internet explorer.

I copied cs6 master collection to my Google drive because my computer needed to be wiped clean. I go back to download it back onto my computer and it won't download all of the files in order for it to be re-installed. What do I do?

Can't stop Adobe CS6 Master Collection from extracting

I tried to download the trial version of CS6 Master Collection and it won't stop extracting. The pause and stop button after the extraction bar don't function. I went to the website 'Prodesigntools.com/tag/ddl' as suggested to try to download without using Adobe Download Assistant. When it tries to reinstall this error message appears, 'This product is already in the download queue and will not be added (error 105). If you believe you have received this message in error, you can restart Adobe Download Assistant and try to add the product again'.

Deauthorize CS6 Master Collection from a hard drive that has crashed

The hard drive in my MacBook Pro has crashed and I have ghotten a replacement drive and installed it.
I need to re-install my Creative Suite 6 Master Collection on the new hard drive, but I cannot activate it since it is activated on my crashed drive.
What's the best way to get this fixed? Is there a website I can visit to deauthorize the old copy so I can re-authorize the new install on my new hard drive?

You need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations (you are allowed to have two machines with activated installations).

CS6 Master Collection invalid registration

After registering and using the CS6 Master Collection (Mac) for most of a year, today it thinks it's a trial version and needs a valid serial number. But, it isn't accepting the serial number I originally registered with. It says it's an invalid number. So, now, nothing opens.
I double-checked my Products and Services, and it shows Master Collection 6 Mac, Registered April 3, 2013. I used the serial number shown on the page, and it doesn't work.
Any help in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.

I have to ammend my original post. It appears that the problem is entirely with Adobe Application Manager. When I launch an Adobe CS6 app, Application Manager interrupts the launch telling me I have to register the trial version of CS6 (it's registered already). When I quit Application Manager, the CS6 app I want still launches and works fine.
So, I guess what I really need is help convincing Application Manager that my copy of CS6 Master Collection was registered back in April.

I had an issue when i downloaded the Mavericks for my MAC and had to wipe my hard drive clean. I need to re-install my adobe stuff for school, however it does not show up in my order history (it only shows in my programs as having the collection along with my serial number), how do I re-download it?

What is the cost to upgrade from CS5 Master Collection to CS6 Master Collection? [was: Upgrading]

Why is it so freaking difficult to find upgrade pricing for Master Collection from CS 5 to CS 6? For Adobe to be so great the website is horrible. User are stuck in a never-ending series new tabs. In one instance Adobe says to purchase an upgrade go to www.adobe.com, click on BUY... Have they not realized that they've changed the web site? And everything redirects to Creative Cloud? Horrible service.

I have the student edition of CS5 Production Premium suite and Adobe Acrobat X Pro for Windows and I was wondering if there was a way to upgrade it to the CS6 Master Collection. If there is, how much would it cost? I would like to get InDesign and Dreamweaver. Or would it be easier to try to buy the two programs separate?

I saw that before, but I wasn't sure if it was an upgrade from the CS5 Master Collection or just anything CS5. Shouldn't the upgrade price vary depending on what collection of programs you have? Like shouldn't upgrading from the CS5 Master Collection be cheaper than upgrading from CS5 Production Premium? Will it change if I try to order it?

File Extension Always Changes from .mp4 to .m4z in Media Encoder CS6 Master Collection

I am a noob to Adobe products, but I am familiar with video encoding and have been making movies on the computer for over a decade. I have made several attempts to encode from .wmv to .mp4, but both Media Encoder as well as Premiere creates the output with the .m4v extension. I am using the H.264 Main, with the MP4 Standard selected in the multiplexer. I have watched several video tutorials from YouTube on how to make sure I format properly for YouTube in MP4, but I would prefer my file extension to be .mp4 and NOT .m4v. The name is specified as "video.mp4" but it always comes out as "video.m4v".
I am using the full version (not a trial) of Adobe Creative Suite CS6 Master Collection, Student and Teacher Addition.
Windows 7 64-bit
Before I give all my other pertinent details, or post screen shots (if that is possible), I thought there might be a simple solution.
Can anyone help me?

I will have to try keeping the Export Audio box checked. I am having the same .m4v problem when trying to save as mp4, and my videos have no audio (screen capture tutorials) so I chose not to export the audio. I will see if keeping the box checked works.
I am using Windows 7 64-bit, CS6 Master Collection Student Teacher; I just downloaded the full version (paid for) a couple of days ago, so apparently, this is still a bug.
I had posted this same type of question earlier today, now I found this forum. I don't know if the problem was there before the update because I just bought my Adobe products the other day (November 10, 2012) and installed the updates prior to even opening any single one of the Adobe programs. Oddly enough, Handbrake does a fine job, so I am using that until I figure out the problem with AME.
UPDATE:
YES! Keeping that Export Audio box checked resolved the problem. What I did was (since there was no audio in the original) just take the audio settings down to the lowest possible quality so as to save on file size output.
