Buying a phone off Amazonwireless

My boyfriend and I have a family plan. We want new phones but only have $100 credit between the two of us. We both want the Samsung Fascinate. With our credit and new contracts it would be $300 plus for the two phones. Amazonwireless is selling the Fascinate for $40 each. Are there any downfalls (other than V not covering the insurance) from buying the phone from Amazon verses Verizon?

I just purchased 5 phones from amazon which made it crazy cheaper for the phones. You still have 30 days with amazon to make ANY changes to your plan OR phones. The only downfall with amazon is after your 30 days you have to keep your plan the same for 6 months. This only includes the amount of lines you have, for example if you are on a family plan with two lines, you have to keep those two lines for 6 months. You can still change features and plan packages with verizon for more/less minutes and so on. Also you can only get 3 android phones. If you call and talk to an amazon customer service person they will explain it all, and let me tell you, they are a dream to talk to compared to verizon customer service! As long as you think you will be able to keep the same amount of phones for 6 months I would highly suggest going with amazon instead for the savings. Oh and also, I have to return one of my phones (still within my 30 days) and it took all of 2 mins. with amazon to make a return. No hassle at all.

Only the owner who created the Apple ID activation lock can unlock it. If you don't know or cannot contact the prior owner, then the device is useless.
And, we can't unlock it nor can Apple.

You would have unlimited data on your phone for 29.99, internet,web,app downloads,email all that
She wouldn't have to have a blackberry too she can keep her line the way it is set up now, keeping her 10 plan as well
Once you get the blackberry you can call vzw and put it on your line without affecting your upgrade date.
The only danger in buying a phone off ebay is the chance that it has been reported lost/stolen and possibly be a bad esn (the risk is pretty low but it does happen)

I am very displeased with my cell phone, but I do not have an upgrade till next summer. I was looking into buy a phone off of Amazon and having Verizon activate it for my number. I have never done this before and I do not know how to begin. What do I look for?

As a current prepaid customer with a 3G iPhone 4, I was looking forward to July 17 to see exactly what Verizon was going to offer for prepaid in terms of 4G LTE. Some of the phones I like but was thinking of some other phones that Verizon offers their postpaid customers but not to prepaid. I wanted to know if I walk into a Verizon store and offered to buy any phone at full retail price, would they sell it to me knowing it would be used on prepaid? You would only need to trade in your current phone if you are still under contract AND eligible for the early edge offer. The early upgrade may be available if you have less than 1 yr to go on your contract.
If you are off-contract and eligible for an upgrade you can get a new phone on the Edge program (assuming you are eligible).
As to same-day phone - that still depends on if the phone you want is available or has to be ordered.

Ok so another question are you going to pay full price up front for the phone, use Edge or do it on a subsidy? Also which model since they vary in price from $650-$950.
Line fees on a More Everything plan are typically $40 per line.As I said being on Edge or being off contract would reduce that by $25 if you have a 10 GB data plan as you state you would. The 10 GB data portion is $100 but since your discount is 26% it will only cost $74.
So to keep this simple until I get more info from you if you still had all 3 lines under contract, 3 smartphone lines and 10 GB with a 26% discount would be $194 a month before taxes and fees.
Since you have 2 lines currently of contract, if you kept using your current phones or paid full price upfront for new phones you'd have 2 month2month discounts of $25 so that would drop your bill to $144 before taxes/fees
If you bought the cheapest iPhone 6 on Edge your Edge payment would be $32.50 a month for 20 months. So for two iPhones 6es( assuming you got the cheapest one ) that would be $65. That would on top of the $144. So a total of $209

This is not Apple's fault AT ALL. You've been ROBBED by the seller - not Apple.
This is a security feature designed to prevent stolen iOS devices from being used by thieves.
Presumably the device you bought is stolen which is why the person you bought from has magically vanished as soon as he got your money.
Lesson learned: Don't buy products when you cannot verify you are buying from the legitimate owner.

New Phone off Ebay

Just purchased the BlackBerry Curve 8330 off Ebay and when I received it realized none of the CD's that I needed didn't come with it. I cannot access the web without them, at least thats what Verizon told me when I called them. Is there any downloads that I can do or bring my phone to the store and they can assist me???? What am I suppose to do now with this phone... I'm paying for the data/web/etc. I know I probably shouldn't have bought a phone off ebay, but now thats a moot point... any help would be great!! Make sure that your device is not locked.
Go to Options - Advanced Options - SIM Card
Now type on keyboard (typed symbols won't be shown on display): MEPD
You will see a list.
And if phone is unlocked there will be Disabled word shown for every list position.
If there is at least one Active word shown then your device is Locked.
And you need to unlock it.
Buy an unlock code online to unlock your BlackBerry device.

Why would you do that when your phone is updating?
Your phone is in recovery mode If you can't update or restore your iOS device

Apps are locked to the Apple ID that was used to download them. You will have to sign in as your brother in order to update it.

To reset, press and hold the Home and power buttons until the silver apple appears.
I would delete the app, reset the phone and then download the app again. Your calendar information should be stored on the phone as Week Cal uses the Calendar app information.
