Buying American TV series in New Zealand?

I would like to buy American TV series, but I'm in New Zealand, and it doesn't seem to work. I try on the American iTunes store, but it tells me to go to the NZ store, and there doesn't seem to be any for sale there.
Would getting Apple TV work?

You can't buy content from a different country's iTunes Store.

  • Any update on when we will be able to buy tv series in new zealand through itunes ?

    Hi All,
Has anyone got any updates on when New Zealand will be able to buy TV series through itunes?

I used to use FileMaker back in the day... when web publishing was primitive at best.
Do you know whether there is a publicly viewable demo site online that a volunteer could use to examine this problem? I suspect it might be hard for you to provide enough detail just with text. Or perhaps you can post a screen recording illustrating the problem.

  • Can I buy the Creative Cloud in New Zealand, and use it in Qatar?

    Hi,
I have project in Qatar, Doha and I will be based here for next year or so. So can I buy the Creative Cloud Service in NZ, where I live and use the Creative Cloud service and applications in Qatar (Middle East)? Would appreicate answer as soon as possible.
    Thanks,
    Rehan Saiyed

Although I'm not 100% sure, I would say that as long as your registration is consistent with your NZ information, you should be able to purchase CC. This includes an Adobe ID associated with NZ as your primary country, a NZ shipping/billing address, credit card information, etc. The only problem I might see popping up is being on an IP address originating in Qatar, since internet access is required for registering and downloading apps.
Just to be safe though, I would try contacting customer support.
    Go here: http://helpx.adobe.com/contact/ ,
    Select Creative Cloud,
Select a topic from the dropdown menu,
And then click "I Still Need Help"
You should be able chat or call.

  • Buying tv programs in New Zealand

Is there any way to buy U.K. Televisions programs in the iTunes Store while in New Zealand?

I understant that a specific TV maker (provider) might restrict content e.g ABC, Fox but for all providers to block content suprises me, in the free market place (laughs out loud)..
I can understand if Game of Thrones is blocked for release, as it is in Australia because FoxTel has purchased the rights to release the series before it would appear on iTunes.
(clearly I will never purchase FoxTel!)
But for Apple to restrict a whole market from iTunes seems strange to me when for all purposes NZ is a mini Australia that would thrive on TV series

  • Will an American bought iPhone 4s work just as a New Zealand bought iPhone 4s in New Zealand?

    Hi guys,
so I'm planning to buy an iPhone 4s from http://store.apple.com/us and have it shipped to a relative... then the relative will ship it to me in New Zealand.
my question is regarding the plans or contracts, I've been researching and seen quite a few threads about; "if the iPhone 4 is bought online it might be "unlocked" but it must have a contract" is this true? (keep in mind all posts or threads i have read through during my research are dated at about mid 2011, around July, so iPhone 4s wasn't out.. i cant find any recent news on this)also is a plan and a contract the same thing??
I have asked the relative to buy it and she said "i think all phones over here (USA) need to have a plan".... http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone/iphone4s clearly states "Or get iPhone unlocked and contract-free" ... i just wanted to make sure before i make the purchase. if i buy the iphone 4s via the unlocked and contract-free route, is that without a data plan?
    ~ TL;DR ~
is the unlocked iPhone 4s bought directly online at the american apple site "http://store.apple.com/us" definitely contract/plan free and unlocked?
Are a "plan" and a "contract" the same thing?
when i order from america does it have to come with a data plan?

Apple bends over backwards to honor its warranty world-wide, but does reserve the right to refer you to the nation of purchase for warranty service. This is usually done on a product not sold in the nation were you are seeking service. I have seen no one report here in the ASC warranty issues with Apple GMS devices, because they are sold by Apple world-wide. I have seen folks living outside the US report that they were told that warranty coverage for CDMA devices is only available in the US, which is currently the country were those devices are sold and where Apple's supply chain is set up to meet warranty coverage.
However, there are other things to take into consideration when you buy a US iPhone. The price of the iPhone on the Apple US webpage does not include sales tax. That is added to the total at the finalization of the sale. My unlocked iPhone 4S for US$650.00 came to US$705.00 with the sales tax. The iPhones sold in NZ have already passed through customs and have prices adjusted for the import tariffs assessed buy your government. Any iPhone shipped to you from the US is also subject to customs declaration and payment of the same tariffs.

  • I have created an album in iphoto but can't buy it because I still use iphoto 08 (version 7.0). If I upgrade to version 7.0, can I print my album in New Zealand or Australia?

I have created an album in iphoto but can't buy it because I still use iphoto 08 (version 7.0). If I upgrade to version 8.0 which is iphoto 09 can I print my album in New Zealand?

    Yes  --  http://store.apple.com/us/help/print_products/routing
but to upgrade you will need to purchase an iLife DVD from ebay or Amazon or other source - older versions of iPhoto are not available from the App Store - either iLife '09 or '11 will work on 10.6.8
beware that sometimes books (albums are logical organzational elements in iPhoto) sometimes will change with upgrades so you may need to make some changes after upgrading - be sure to carefully preview prior to ordering the book

  • If I buy an iphone from the hong kong site to use in new zealand, will it come unlocked and can i use it in new zealand on a nz service provider?

If I buy an iphone from the hong kong site to use in new zealand, will it come unlocked and can i use it in new zealand on a nz service provider?

If you purchase an unlocked iPhone it will work on any supported gsm network.
Just FYI, apple will not ship outside the country in which the device is purchased. A device purchased in the Hong Kong website must have a shipping and billing address in Hong Kong.
Also, warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin.

  • I've read that Promise Pegasus2 series does not sell replacement parts. I'm buying the new MacPro but am concerned about spending $2K for storage that may break and cannot be fixed. What are others buying for storage for the new MacPro?

I've read that Promise Pegasus2 R6 thunderbolt 2 series does not sell replacement parts (no replacement parts for any of the Pegasus line). I'm buying the new MacPro but am concerned about spending $2K for storage (12tb version) that may break and cannot be fixed (am told that one must purchase a new unit if a part breaks). What are others buying for storage for the new MacPro? Thanks so much for your help.
Discussion about this issue at MacWorld.com:  http://www.macworld.com/article/2082783/first-look-promises-pegasus2-r6-thunderb olt-2-raid-array.html

I've used the original Pegasus R6 units for a couple of years now and have been very pleased with them.  On the two occasions I've had to call on their technical sujpport, I've found them readily available, knowledgeable, and very helpful.  In one case it involved the reset of a unit after a power failure at an inopportune time; in the other case it was a question about upgrading disk drives to higher capacities (1 Gb gto 4 Gb).  I was pleased to learn that their tech support people were in California and as good if not better than upper-tier AppleCare reps. The hardware itself has functioned flawlessly so far.

  • If i buy an iPhone 5s from the United States will the iPhones warranty be honoured in New Zealand?

If i buy an iPhone 5s from the United States will the iPhones warranty be honoured in New Zealand?

Warranty for the iPhone is not and has never been International.
Purchase the device in the country where it is intended to be used.
Also, be aware that there is no gurantee that an iPhone from the US will work on LTE anywhere else in the world.

  • If I buy an iphone 5s from an apple store overseas, will it work on any network in New Zealand?

No. Only ATT will unlock it.

  • If I buy a MacBook pro in the USA would it still work in new zealand?

I was thinking of buying a MacBook pro in Los Angeles and was wondering if it would work in new Zealand where I live?

Yes, it will work in EnZed. You would need either a different power cord or a wall outlet adaptor to work with your wall outlets.
And, you'll have to get used to it speaking with an accent.

  • When will tv series be in new zealand, like smallville in HD?

when will tv series be in new zealand, like smallville in HD?

I doubt if anybody on here will know - it will be whenever the distributor makes it available for Apple to sell there.

  • Can a U.S. iPhone be unlocked to use in New Zealand?

I'm looking at buying an iPhone 4s off ebay since they're cheaper than buying one in NZ. Will I be able to unlock it to use on a New Zealand network?
    Thanks

There are no unlocked iPhone 5 series currently available in US Apple stores. All of the current production run is being sold as locked. At some time in the future unlocked phones will probably be available, but we have no idea when. Also, at this time stores do not have any stock; you must buy online for delivery to your US address or a US store. You must also pay with a credit card that has a US billing address.
Some people have reported that a T-Mobile iPhone 5S or 5C purchased directly from an Apple store for full price is an unlocked phone, as long as you do not activate it on T-Mobile. Apple will not confirm this, so it is anecdotal.
Note also that if you buy ANY iPhone in the US all warranty and out-of-warranty service must be performed in the US. The iPhone warranty is not international.
