I just got an IPod and a friend has an IPhone. She recently mentioned wanting to get a birding app for her phone. I was wondering, is there any way I can purchase this as a gift for her(I assume with my account)?

You can't gift an app from the Mac App Store to an iOS (iPhone) App Store device. But you can do it from an iPod to an iPhone.
On your iPod, open the App Store, pick out any app you want, and scroll down past the description and screenshot until you see this.
Click on Gift This App and you're good to go! Happy gifting

Not from Apple unless you have a US credit card, or can set up a wire transfer or send a money order (probably would need to be in US funds). If you don't have a US credit card, you might have better luck working through Best Buy, whose web site says that they can accept non-US credit cards.

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they probably will tell you that it's not possible.

Using a debit card in any online service where it stores your card is a bad idea in any case since if someone gains access to your account in the service, they can quickly drain your bank account. Credit cards limit your liability, as do prepaid iTunes cards.

The app must have been purchased using your friends account. This means that the app belongs to your friend.
You need to buy your own copy.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can)

Yes. Apple or a certified Apple retailer. Any other source may be bogus. With the Apple SIM you don't need to decide what carrier at time of purchase. However, Apple only supports AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Of course you can also buy it from your chosen provider if they support and sell them.
I suggest you visit Apple's online store to see what you need. It's well explained. I just bought one two days ago.

The keyboard is easier to use than Apple's on-screen keyboard. Do a Google search using the model number to get the best price. About the same price as Apple's covers & it covers the whole iPad. Although the new iPad is slightly thicker, it should fit this case.
