Buying Apps for classroom

Is there a "school" license that Apple distribute? Let me see if I could explain what I mean.
My school is looking into purchasing a class set of iPads (15-20). There are a few apps that we would like to install on all iPads. Do we have to purchase a license for each iPad? It will add up. Or does Apple allow syncing with one account to multiple iPads? If so, how many at at a time?
For example, if an app cost $2.99. For 20 license it would be $60 in total. And this is for one app. I hope there's a way to purchase an app for "educational" use.

Apple offers help for educators for Mac desktop and laptops, not sure about iPads. Try contacting Apple directly here.

you have 2 Steps :
1-Now go to ur itunes then ur ipad & press app sync at this time u will choose the app which should be in & which one should be out , itunes will never but them again exept if u change ur mind & put it again .
2- with ur ipad go to ur settings ...< store settings ..< stop auto download which may download free apps at any time .
when u do this believe me Itunes will not do any thing except which u say

I have the same problem. I am running OS 10.6.8 so am ready to download mountain lion; however, the download only sits on my dock stating: "Waiting". Unfortunately for me, the waiting never ends with no new OS on my IMac. I am hoping that someone will see this message and suggest an approach to downloading this new OS.

If I've bought an app for iPad which also is available for iPhone, can I then download it for free on my iPhone?

If it is exactly the same app then you can re-download it for free - all your previously purchased apps (that are still available in the store) should show in the Purchased tab at the bottom of the App Store app on the iPad, or in the Purchased link on the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes . If the app doesn't appear in Purchased then you haven't previous purchased it with that account. The '+' indicates that the app is a 'universal' app i.e. it has processing within to detect what device it is on and will tailor it's screen display accordingly (so it will make use of the larger iPad screen and not just use an iPhone sized portion of the screen).

Not legally, no. You legally need to purchase one license for each iPad you're going to be using the app on. If Apple offers the Volume Purchase Program in your country, that's usually the most practical route.

I'm trying to use the VPP to buy apps for iPads but it says I need to use a different apple id?

We are a small, private school that recently purchased 40 iPad minis to use in the classroom. We have been using Apple Configurator and iTunes to manage the free apps on the iPads. Now we would like to purchase some apps and I went through the steps to enroll in the VPP. I was looking around today and when I tried to sign into the app store through the VPP it said that I couldn't use the same apple ID because it was assciated with iTunes. Do I need to create another one? WIll this interfere with the apps we already have? Or would this id only be used for the VPP and would not affect the free apps and the Apple Configurator operation? Thank you!

You can not login into iTunes or the App Store using VPP credentials. You must purchase all apps/book/etc. from the VPP website. Then you can redeem the codes thru itunes/app store or import the codes thru apple configurator. (It will not affect any of the apps you already have but the id can only be used for VPP.)

Business - Want to buy app for all of our iPhones

Hi all,
There are several apps that we want to use in the business and therefore we want them on all of our 100 handsets.
Is there a way to buy and centrally deploy these? I can only find notes on how to buy single apps (buy from ALL handsets individually) or write in house apps and deploy centrally, neither which meets our needs.
Can anyone help?
Lets say we wanted to roll out Angry Birds to all of our handsets. How do we do this?

Buying apps for playbook

Hi, need some help please.
I have just bought a playbook as a christmas present for my daughter.
Is the a voucher similar to itunes to allow a teenager to purchase apps, as i don't fancy letting her loose with my card!!

There isn't as far as I know, but if you drag down from the top in the BlackBerry World app and click on settings you can set to be always prompted for a password before purchasing so at least if your daughter wants anything she will need to ask you to enter this first.

Buying apps for others

I have never bought anything from the iTunes store until today. I wanted to send a game to my grandaughter for her 12 birthday. She loves the game on my Mac, so the idea was to go to the iTunes store, buy the game, and have it sent to her.
Well, I clicked all the buttons and it immediately began to download the game to my computer. No warning, no comments about sending the app to someone else.
Now I have two copies on my Mac and I want to know if there is a way to get it to her computer. She lives 1500 miles away.

I usually purchase or download apps directly to the device I'm planning on using it on. But I have my Settings set that an app downloaded on my iPhone will also appear on my iPad without me having to download it again.
I copy those apps to iTunes on my computer when I do a sync.
Seems easier and more efficient for me to just purchase on the iPhone or iPad instead of buying on my computer then having to transfer the app to my device.
