Buying Creative Suite

I am about to buy a new mac after 8 years as my laptop has finally died.
Last time i was able to use the last liscence of some Mac Creative software that I had purchased a while ago that my mum and I had shared, however it was very old and out of date (CS2).
So i now need to buy a more up to date one.
I don't do a lot of professional work so CS6 should be okay for me, but i'm struggling to buy it, i realise it is expensive but help...
I'd love to buy creative cloud but it says I have to have CS3 or later to be able to buy it, which i obviously don't have as this is a fresh mac with nothing on iot.
Please help... I;ve about spent all my savings on this new mac..

You have 2 activations per license for non-concurrent use. That's al lyou need to know. If you need more, consider volume licensing or Creative Cloud for Teams.

Not sure where you're getting this idea from but it doesn't matter how you purchase the software (Suite or standalone) the answer is still, no.
One license, one platform (Mac or Win)
Mac software works on Mac only.
Win software works on Win only.

From your repeated questions on this topic, does it mean that you have a Mac desktop and a Win laptop and you're trying the find the cheapest route to get DW and Flash Builder on both?

Best option for buying Creative suite

Hi. Im going to open a buisness soon, and i am interested in buying a Creative suite. Now i was wondering what would be my best option if i intend to use the product on more then one computer.
Is it possible to use the same product on more computers or do i need to purchase multiple lisences?
Also how does that effect the countrey your in?

Unable to buy Creative Suite Extension Builder

On the site http://www.adobe.com/ch_de/products/cs-extension-builder.html I click on 'buy'.
A pop up appears where I have to chose a Plan and Amout. And whatever I choose there, the button to add the product is always grayed out.
This happens on windows 7 with chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer. (And with opera you don't even get the popup but 'broken link').
The same if you are logged out or logged in.
I'm trying to buy the software since a month and trial will run out somewhen.

If I buy creative cloud and save my work to a USB, and another computer only has creative suite, are they compatible?

I don't know which to buy, creative suite 6, or creative cloud, which seems to have more. but are they compatible with eachother?, if I save work to one and another computer only has the other, can it recognise the other program and I can still use both?

Those are the collective names for suites for several different software titles. Creative Cloud has about 29 different software titles.
File format incompatibility affects different software in different ways. Photoshop, Indesign may have issues but Dreamweaver will probably not.

I am thinking to use indesign for one of my project.but i am not sure if i can use Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard for business.
I couldnt find any information about this on the product page.
If i buy and download Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard will i be able to use it for my business or is it only for personel usage.

I'm an Adobe platform beginner.
We are starting a video project with the following objectives are
1. Provide a "template video"
(a) a video template consists of "video sequences"
(b) each sequence have components (texts, sounds, videos, images ...)
2. provide a tool to modify a video template to
(a) add/modify video sequences
(b) define some sequence components (text, sounds, video, images ...) as placeholders
3. define clients preferences for a particular video template through a user interface ie
(a) add/remove sequences
(b) define actual values for sequence placeholder components
(c) record the changes in a database
4. batch or on-demand merge (ie render) of clients preferences and associated video template to a "final non modifiable video"
Through my readings I came to the conclusion that Content Suite is the best for this project:
- Adobe premiere : to edit video (1. & 2. & 3.a)
- Adobe flash to define a user interface to
- define a client actual preferences values for sequence placeholder components (3.b)
- record a client preferences in a database (3.c)
- drive Adobe premiere to load a video template (4.)
- read a client preferences from a database (4.)
- drive Adobe premiere to apply the preferences to the video template (4.)
- drive Adobe premiere to render the "final non modifiable video" (4.)
As an Adobe platform beginner, I'm wondering
1. how this is possible with creative suite ?
2. how can I define placeholders (variables, tags ...) inside Adobe Premiere
3. how can I merge actual values with placeholders in Adobe Premiere
3. how can I get flash to drive/interact with Adobe Premiere. I've heard about Cross-DOM API, Scripting in Premiere, Adobe Bridge ...
If this is possible, how can it be implemented ? which Creative Suite product suit the best which function ? which API for which function ... ? Examples and if possible the smallest code we'll help.
4. if this is the wrong way to do the project, all suggestions are welcome.

While I can see a use for the basic Adobe apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), I can't see them as being the entire list of software that would be required in the course of study.
Each school
has a required list of books, software and other supplies for each curriculum. Request the list -- either the bookstore or the Architecture Dept or School has it. And the school store generally has the lowest prices available for the software.
But, make sure that the
minimum specs for the software are matched or (preferably) exceeded by your daughter's computer.

Not necessarily. The trial can be activated with the serial number. Only instal lagain, if that doesn't work.

Adobe creative suit cs6 crashing pc

i have a windows 7 64 bit pc, with 835 gig of free space, 4gb ram.
before i bought creative suit, i got the photoshop trial, which crashed my pc, while i was using it.
after buying creative suit, it has crashed again while using photoshop and after effects.
im running photoshop on my nvidea card, the open gl option is grey and not available. I've spent an hour trying to
repair my PC. I think it's maybe a ram issue, Photoshop is using about 2gb ram exactly, after fixing that,
i turned on after effects, then the pc completely freezes. after shuttign down the pc by pressing off button, i have to spent an hour on the pc "startup repair" option till i get it to turn on. What do i do?

And what processor exactly? What graphics card? I get the impression you have a conflict with your onboard (intel?) graphics vs. you NVidia card or you may generally be missing a motherboard driver as they may be required for coreXI processors' power management or things like your USB and SATA controllers. The issues sound too severe to be attributed to Adobe software only. check your device manager. I'm quite certain that several of your devices only run with Windows' default drivers in compatibility mode and some devices may even be flagged as missing drivers...

BUT... when your one year Education account ends, I do not think you will be able to renew at the Education rate

Installing Adobe Creative Suite - NEW 21" late 2012 iMac - Don't want to buy superdrive!! How can I trick the computer into thinking the USB drive is a CD?

I've got a new late 2012 imac, but I realize yes it doesn't come with a compact disc drive. I have an Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 install disc with all the information included (serial). I copied the contents of the CD into a USB Flash drive, but I can't get it to install because it is looking for the content on the CD. Since I don't want to have to buy the external Superdrive!! How do I convince the computer into installing adobe via the files on the flash drive?

There is no reason to do that. You can buy a legitimate copy of the product from Adobe.
If the price is too good to be true, it's too good to be true. Caveat emptor.
